This is the best video I’ve seen that really shows just how quickly things went from bad to worse. It feels like every few minutes the water would raise by several inches, and to see the current get stronger and stronger in the background was truly terrifying. Thank you for documenting this.
Praying for all. The one that could of been driven out is lost! The most important thing is your safe. These videos are so hard to watch. Helping each other is what we are about. Thank you for sharing. Praying for all
When I camp i always pick the highest point if possible you never know glad to see people and children helping each other. Praying for everyone out there 🙏 ❤
That RV on its side on your thumbnail I ended up shooting aerial shots of for that couple.. I flew through a day or two after. The aftermath is horrible.
IN 1985 nearly all the camper and RV's parked at Cave Country camp ground off 220 near Franklin WV washed away during that flood. I was very bad, rained forever, ground was soaked and just when we thought we'd get a break the sky would open up again. Only thing a man can do is get out of Mother Natures way.
The insurance company might not pay these people on their claims if they see this video. Their excuse will be that the owners of the RV's were warned about the impending flood and told to get them to higher ground. But that they ignored the warning.
He arrived at the end! Winnebago wouldn’t start, then they had to go out to rescue him to get him back to solid ground. They all ignored the order to leave!
Nolichuky river outside of erwin. A tropical storm dropped over 20 inches of rain up by boone on one day. That flowed down the mountains into erwin,tn causing nolichuky river to crest at around 31 feet.
There are farms all along that river. This time of year, there are thousands of pumpkins harvested and sold. People's lively hoods are gone, devastating along the Nolichuky and in the mountains of Western NC. People are still stranded in the mountains.
Why didn't some of these campers get up and move out? They knew the water was coming from downsdream. Come on, peopleave this stuff. Sit and just pulled the game throughout. I don't understand why people didn't just hook up and pull out. That makes no sense. You knew it was coming. You knew this water was coming down screen. Just like that motor home that floated you could have jumped in and pulled out. It wasn't underwater that bad at first. Why did you just jump it and pull it out. I don't understand make up. Bless you all and keep you safe. This is a long haul to recovery and no help in sight.
This is vacation area and some may live a good distance away. Apparently not enough time to get there to move their rigs. They were warned but some may have been too far away to get there in time.
The river had never got this high in any of our lifetimes, there is typical flooding, and then there is this. They probably didn't expect it would reach this level, and when it was obvious it would, it was too late to react.
It couldn't be moved because the owner wasn't around. It's a long-term storage or setup you can see that he has his wipers protected from deteriorating in the Sun so it was probably sitting there. Also some people Park their campers and then go out exploring or gone for the day and probably did not know what was going on
This is not 'The Pumpkin Flood"..! You make it sound like a Charlie Brown holiday cartoon, which it wasn't! Actually it seems to poke fun at the flood and the victims.. A very disrespectful, cutesy lil nickname to a horrific tragedy. Don't call it the pumpkin flood. Wtf.
Nobody knew it was going to get that bad. Not sure if you know or not but weather from a hurricane usuallyyyy doesn’t reach East Tennessee. A lot of houses floated away and life’s were lost. Do your research before asking if we’re “lazy”.

Winnebago, LOSE-a-Bago. Easy come, easy go!

The speed of that river in the background is so frightening to watch, glad you all made it out safe, so sorry to all those who didn't make it. 😢💔💞🙏🏻

I'm sorry for all the people who lost their homes, cars, pets, their lives. Truly heartbreaking. I hope this never happens again.
I'm amazed by how fast the water is moving and no one seems to be in a hurry to leave.
The Durango, this is like my sons camper. God bless all these people coming to help people

Great job saving that young man! God's blessings be upon yall
We used to long term at this park back in 2017-18. Great area, people and scenery. Shame about the loss of campers.
Unbelievable!! We Love staying there. Prayers for all.
From the Breen Family.
I was on pins and needles watching this. And the river wasn't reclaiming land. It's never been so high.
The fertile soil was deposited on the farmland during past floods.
$80,000 rv almost submerged and that girl grabs $9 worth of Solar yard lights lol
poor girl doing anything to help, she did what she could
Thank you for sharing. Bless you all.❤

When you're told to get out heed the warning! Better to take your rig with than leave it, you never know.
Makes me wonder if it would've been able to pull it out to safety if its floating around like that. Worth a try.
Probably only if they could have unlocked it and put in in neutral gear.
I find very little about Eastern Tennessee and I know from all the Homestead challenges that its bad there. Hope yall dont get forgotten
I am glad the driver of the Winni got out.... I was like dang dont go down with it.
My wife an I were so sad to see this happen. We were hoping it could be moved away. We hope al those affected stay safe. 😢😢😢
Power of water is like no other wow and the great escape pumpkin Charlie Brown wow
Thanks for the footage
Too bad about the Winnebago but what a valiant effort.
How come the Winni did not just pull away if he was in there? Im confused by that. Would it not start?
By the time he arrived the water was already too high and probably destroyed the engine
@@Turk_2023 he arrived late and had to actually be rescued from the Winnebago
Oh wow dude! The loss. The carnage! The whole mess.

Sorry for your loss 😢
Why didn’t they move all the fifth wheels to higher ground & leave.
Owners more than likely not there to do it.
How much time has lapsed from the beginning of the video to the end?
Prayer ROCKS ❤ America ROCKS
The pumpkin saved itsself
Playing Jump Rope with a Dumpster….HA!!!
Where were the people that owned the winnebago? Omgosh!😢
He arrived at the end! Winnebago wouldn’t start, then they had to go out to rescue him to get him back to solid ground.
They all ignored the order to leave!
Ask Siri what caused the hurricane...YOUR JAW WILL DROP...
bet she said Global warming lol
God save humanity and the animals
Was there only one truck?
What river? Where in TN? Why did they wait so long?

THAT'S HORRIBLE. IS EVERYONE OK?
Here’s my question where did all the pumpkins come from and I didn’t know pumpkins can float
There are farms all along that river. This time of year, there are thousands of pumpkins harvested and sold. People's lively hoods are gone, devastating along the Nolichuky and in the mountains of Western NC. People are still stranded in the mountains.
Pumpkins all have air in them, big hollow space inside; uncut pumpkins will float if in deep enough water.
@ thank you for the info. I did not know that.
Is this at the KOA near Bumpus Cove Rd?
@@mudnducs it’s in Embreeville
All im wondering is why the hell are they pulling the golf cart out 😆 f that thing get the important things out!!
Which campground was this?
Riverview campground
@@Will.travel-o8d, well all the campers got a little more than a River View on that particular day!

They need keep taking campers r.v. On out there it’s not going stop any time soon.
Where are all the owners? Why aren't they pulling their rvs out
“My Winnebago was STOLEN!!!”
😂😂😂
These people risked their lives for others. Ty is not sufficient but is all i know to say
people helping people
God Bless u all tysm
that's a lose-a-bego... i've hated those things since the Ohioans showed up in a Coachman. Damn never again.
Shame the Winnebago should have been the first one to get out.

Shut the hell up Karen, quit being offended by everything
This is so sad
People too lazy to move themselves with water rising? Doesn’t make sense.
