There are so many Americans that are praying for those of you affected in all states, trying to volunteer donate and help how they can and we are OUTRAGED the military is refusing to help, our clown administration won't help and now the $750 'relief' fund just like Maui. Sick! We are on our own. Please tell your neighbors we are all wil you!
@@InSahnity The military and FEMA are NOT refusing to help. Whoever is leading you folks to believe that is dead wrong. Who do you think is flying the majority of those helicopters and bringing in water, fuel, man-power, critical repairs to infrastructure, restoration of services? There are entire caravans of trucks and flatbeds loaded with goods, supplies, machinery. CARAVANS! Led by vehicles with flashing lights, flashing lights on every vehicle, I have seen them in videos and probably so have you. They are getting there as fast as they can under difficult situations where interstates and bridges have been washed out and through-transportation is very difficult if not often impossible. Good grief. The malevolence of people spreading these rumors about our government not helping in this disaster is monstrous. This is not a Katrina situation where aid could be more concentrated over a finite area. This is a catastrophe spread over out a large area, many different states, a lot of it practically inaccessible by land now except by foot. This is one disaster that will take time and some patience overall, once the critical areas have been tended to and infrastructure and transportation has been restored. The major blessing of all of this is that the area is peopled with the strongest of people, Appalachia’s people, who know how to take care of themselves and look out for others, who are resilient and the ultimate survivors. I know all about the strong people of Appalachia. My family’s history (on both sides) in the mountains of Virginia, then North Carolina and Tennessee, and ultimately the hills of Kentucky goes back to the mid-1600’s. My heritage is as Scottish, Scotch-Irish, and Cherokee as it comes, and as my Granny used to say of her ten kids, “I didn’t raise no limbers.” My very souls is in these mountains and I know my family and mountain folk: Strong, hard-working, and willing and able to deal with adversity of all kinds. We knew how to be self sufficient if necessary. Mountain folk understand how hard it can be to get around up there. Granddad was a coal miner and a circuit rider on his mule, doing it the hard but necessary way. These are the strongest folks you ever want to meet. It will be slow, my family is contrary and slow as molasses in January, but they will make it all come right again.
Art and Grace, you are both so brave to venture out to check on friends not knowing what you would find. May God continue to protect your hearts, mind, and bodies for HIS glory. ❤
You guys are Amazing! That hike was Brutal and you did it not knowing what you would find on the other side. I saw a video yesterday, from a local realtor, who said a few of the sheriffs are advising people to go armed because looting and theft have become a very real thing. People are desperate.
I am glad your friends are ok. Good to hear happy outcomes since we know there are a lot of bad ones. That road is definitely trashed. Great that locals are working to get them at least usable.
Y’all are amazing and such a blessing. I think your arrival was just as exciting as the helicopter. Very thankful your friends are well. Sad for those lost in this terrible tragedy. Be safe!!!
So thankful your friends are safe and doing well. This is what the community of "homesteaders" do. We are all in this together. We are not in this area, but got a lot of rain and wind from Helene here in South Central IL. We are supporting Samaritans Purse and some others that we know the supplies and help are getting to all that need it. You are an awesome friend Art. You and your family are what most people in this community is all about. That is one reason we chose this lifestyle. The people we have so much in common with are the most caring, sharing, loving people. We all help one another in a number of situations. This is what a Godly community does. Praying for all that have been affected by this storm. God Bless you all.

Crazy: I'm making the rounds of channels to see who is/was able to post their well-being. You & Grace pop up checking on _your_ friends. I can't think of too many homesteaders in your area, in whom I would have total confidence, hiking overland in those conditions. It certainly was an eye-opening adventure. Grace, this will be one of your legendary memories. Art, thanks so much for taking us along, discretely👍
Your level of style was above and beyond!!! May we all have friends like you!! God bless you and I’m praying for all affected by the devastation. 😢🙏
I love it when your daughter says maybe now you’ll buy me a four wheeler 😂
Handy to have 👍 ....looks like the community has gone back to 1800's dirt roads again and Amish living

May be the only way. Some day it may be for real.
Yes and a inflatable boat 😊
Funny yet sad….lol
I remember going home after Katrina and crying at seeing all the folks coming to help and yelling out the window, Thank You. I watch y’all and it brings back so many memories. Love y’all.
You did what you needed to. You are a good Friend
The fact that you knew the mountains so well that you were able to get there without gps is outstanding. Grace and you were very kind to go and see if your friends were ok and willing to hike so long in the woods. Thank goodness their brother could get to them with a chopper, he is quiet a skilled pilot. Glad you got back home safely.
Many, many prayers for everyone affected 🙏🙏🙏
You are such a wonderful friend. People are blessed to have you and your family in their lives!

So very glad your friends are fine. Blessings to you and Grace for hiking your way through that rough terrain. What a blessing you are. ❤🙏
You went over and beyond. Good friend. ❤ Great job.
Everyone should have friends like you two. Sending prayers.
Everybody needs a friend like you!❤
I am glad your friends are ok. Good to hear happy outcomes since we know there are a lot of bad ones. That road is definitely trashed. Great that locals are working to get them at least usable.
My thanks for being a good neighbor and friend, and teaching that to your children.
Y’all are amazing and such a blessing. I think your arrival was just as exciting as the helicopter. Very thankful your friends are well. Sad for those lost in this terrible tragedy. Be safe!!!
True friend to walk all that way to check on your friend, so glad your friends are ok❤ Thank you Art and Grace❤❤
Art, you are a good man. I pray that we all have a friends like you and Grace that will come and check on us.
Even though it seemed like a wasted trip, maybe it wasn’t. That is what America is all about. That’s what brotherly love is all about. If more people in America took that kind of responsibility for their friends, family and neighbors America would be unstoppable. I found your video just by accident and I just wanted to say well. Done for doing what you did for your friends. God bless you.
Thank you for telling us the most basic items needed in this type of crisis. And thank you and Grace for serving today.
What beautiful blessings you are❤️😇❤️😇❤️😇
Thank God there are people who care!!! You are AWSOME!
Bless you all for doing this!!
People need friends like you. You are a good person.
What an amazing experience for you and your daughter! God bless you for checking on them and using your survival skills! This is what we learn and prepare for!
That was nice that you were able to hike in to find out if your friends were ok . Glad they were ok .
Prayers 🙏 and Love 🤟 From Ginger
UNBELIEVABLE... AWESOME HOW PEOPLE PULL TOGETHER. GOD PLEASE BLESS THEM ALL.
Thanks for sharing. This was an uplifting video. So happy to see the grassroots efforts to get this community reconnected. It truly takes a village.
Terrific pilot and good friends…amazing…
This is where all your survival skills and knowledge are so important! I wish you could teach a survival skills course.
What a blessing that your friends are doing well. And, what a blessing to have such amazing friends ❤
Stay safe!
It's great to see folks taking care for each other this way. A breakdown of roads like this reminds me how much a contribution ham radio operators make in emergencies.
Keep the videos of this devastation coming. We all need to keep all these people in the forefront of our minds and hearts. Just like what happened in Hawaii
It's so wonderful to see people helping each other! Thank you for taking us on your journey to find friends
Bless you and Grace for putting all of that effort into checking on your friends! Praying for all those that have been affected.
You must know the area well in order to hike through the woods and ridges! Outstanding that your friends are okay! They are fortunate to have such great friends. The American people are resilient and determined! It is so refreshing to hear and see all of the people working together to help each other survive this devastating disaster!
There were about 50 private helicopters that have been flying in w supplies and recovering people. Glad you decided to look in on your friends. ❤❤
Man this takes my breath away and brings tears to my eyes. The love and care you and there brother showed as well as everyone else showing up for others all over. Wow! This is what is so truly beautiful about humans kind. ❤️
Thank you so much Art for your big heart. I’m glad your friends are well❤
Arthur ... YOU :)) and Grace :)) are the epitome jewels of humanity; and to be within your scope of love is a treasure beyond measure. 🥰
I'm glad your friends are safe. They are blessed to have friends like you that will do what it takes to check on them.
