Thank you so much Susy for your video. Even though this was posted over 8 1/2 years ago, it' still helping ppl like me trying to find a way to keep our liquid soaps clear or homogenous instead of gooey and slimy. I make my own goat's milk bar soaps but lately I've been trying to find a way to use my bar soaps and turn them into liquid soaps. I watched videos on UA-cam and followed their instructions, but since I want to use foaming soap dispensers to use my newly made liquid soap, these recipes did not work well after a few days. My liquid soap started to turn gooey and slimy with big chunks of slime! I reheated the batch and added more distilled water and after 24 hours, I can start to see slight separation. Also, adding more water just made the solution too watered down for my liking, even with a foaming dispenser. So, thank you for this gem of a video. I will try your way and see if my bar soap will turn out homogenous when made into liquid soap. I"m also going to venture into making "real" liquid soap (goat's milk) very soon! I do have a question though...can I add Dr. Bonner's Liquid Castile soap while I'm melting the shredded bar soap or do I have to wait until the solution is at room temperature to add it?
@@kevinlung3740 thank you so much for your comment. I don't think it will make a difference WHEN you add the liquid soap. I have done it both ways, and they both work. Good luck!! 🤗🧡
So I know why your liquid soap was originally slimy and jelly like. It's because you are using too little water and you are cooking it too long. There are two different hydroxides to make soap. One is potassium hydroxides which makes liquid soap and sodium hydroxides which makes bar soap. So If u liquify bar soap incorrectly, u gelatinize it. So actually it's about 10cups of water to 4oz bar of soap. And then STIR the soap flakes rather than just letting them melt because stirring will dissolve the soap in 2-3 minutes while letting it dissolve naturally will take about 5 minutes on medium heat. Also, to let it cool you should actually put it in the fridge for about 5hrs that creates a very nice liquid consistency and it will stay liquid without adding the extra liquid soap. It's redundant to add extra liquid soap when that's why we are melting the bar soap in the first place. I hope this helps. Have a great day!
Does this mean you can add potassium hydroxides instead of Dr Bronner's castile soap to make 10 cups of water + shredded 4 oz soap bar stay liquid? If so, how much potassium hydroxides and at what stage would you recommend to add?
Hello Susy, I made your liquid castile soap today and I did it exactly as you said.... you are right, the Heavens did give you the answer ! It is a miracle Honey ! You and you alone have the winning video on this. I have seen them all... well, okay, I have seen many and no one even brings up the fact that theirs is slimy except the new people trying to make it from their recipes. I want to thank you so much Honey, not just from me but from my family who I will be making this for because they are to busy to do it themselves but they buy it all the time. Congratulations Susy ! You are the Greatest ! I almost forgot.... it was so fun and easy to do that I can't wait to keep doing it ! XOXO
I made this recipe the 1st time I watched your video. It works AMAZING! What a gift. I'm actually about to make it again so I'm watching the video for the 3rd time. Thank you for sharing
Ok, so, I finally made it. It only took me 20 minutes, without any stirring at all. Only used 3 cups of water coz of the size of my container. I cooled it down with ice water under the bowl where I had the soap made, then poured it in my container. That's it, I'm done. Yours is really the best DIY liquid soap I've ever tried. So simple & fast. Able to used it right away. Again I thank you for sharing your idea.
You are truly smart and inventive to have come to this idea of adding some already liquid castile soap to prevent it from solidifying.I like your great video. You sound very calming voice and its easy to learn as you explaing in a nice easy to undertand way.Five stars to you.Been flicking through soo many recripes trying to find nicest one and i think i found it!
Thanks for sharing this. So far yours is the best I've seen. So simple, and I love the fact that there's barely any mixing/ stirring required. I'll try to do this once I get a bar soap. I already have liquid castille soap, essential oils, and distilled water. Oh I'm so excited, I can't wait to do this. This is going to save me some money. Thanks once again.
I tried this formula (Feb 2024) with the unscented dr. bonner and another castile soap. They dr. bonner's went from clear to cloudy as it cooled. After about 12 - 18 hours a white-ish film appeared and was floating in the middle of the jar. I removed it once, and a day later it was back. The other castile bar soap I tried was clear even after it cooled. But 12 hours later/the next morning it was a white solid-ish gel. The original video was made 8 years ago. In the case of Bonner's, I'm wondering if they changed their formula? I'm wondering what that floating white stuff is?
I forgot to mention in the video that in the cold weather, it tends to do that sometimes. However, I did notice that this winter, my soap is almost completely solidified (which I thought was odd since I've not changed the recipe). So maybe you are correct, and they changed the soap composition, so that's why it's doing that. ☹️ In the past, I've added a bit more of the Bronners liquid soap to make it liquid again, but this time, that hasn't even worked. I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but I hope that in the warmer weather it will work better. I'm going to place mine near a vent to see if that helps it melt.
Thanks for your reply. It really isn't that cold where I am. Maybe lows in the 50s? FYI, the bar soap I tried was unscented Carolina Castile Soap. That's the one that turned into a solid-ish white gel. I did add 1/4 c of the bonner's unscented liquid soap to that after melting the flakes. Thanks again :)
Hi,I am a begginer in liquid soap making.I have tried, twice to make liquid soap out of bar soap. After grating it and boilng it and stiring but when cools it is backt solid again. Can you please tell me what's wrong? Thank you.
Hi there! Your soap will be gelatinous or solidify if you don't add some of the liquid Castile soap. I don't know why it does that, but have you tried making it like I showed in the video?
I made this last night with a modification to the amount of water used. I only used 2 cups of boiled water to each bar of soap. I grated 3 bars of Kirk's castile soap and melted it in 6 cups of water. I added 3/4 cup of Equate Peppermint castile soap $10 (It is Wal-Mart's generic of Dr. Bronner's $16. They also have it in lavender scent.) As soon as it cooled down, I was able to use it right away. I transfered the rest of it into a storage container. The next day...I woke up and it was still in liquid form...no gel-like or solid form at all! I didn't add the remaining amount of distilled water that she mentioned because it was already liquid-like enough and I felt like adding too much water would dilute it too much for my liking.
I do realize that it does, unfortunately. I don't have a solution, perhaps you can keep it close to your heating vent or somewhere warm so that it stays liquid.
Thank you so much! I make homemade laundry soap and it always gels up and I don't like it. After doing my research it's the Potassium Hydroxide in the Castile soap ingredients that keeps the soap liquefied.
Tks Flowers. Few videos explain the purpose of their ingredients and actual chemical transformation. To state so lightly of a "miracle" makes me twitch and I am a Christian.
It's interesting because the labels on Bonner's soaps say there is no potassium hydroxide (liquid soap) or sodium hydroxide (bar soap) left in the product after the saponification process. However, I made a batch of liquid soap from Bonner's bar soap yesterday. Last night, about 8 hours after making it, I noticed a cloudy blob floating in it. I removed it with a combination of a fork and my fingers and one of my fingers burned after handling the slimy blob. I thought right away that it might have been some lye from the soap bar. There was no rednesses or irritation, it just burned. I rinsed it under cold water for about 5 min. I ordered some pH test strips and will test the soap. I think the pH is supposed to be between 7 and 10, but between 8 and 9 is preferable. If the pH is super high, I guess it's a sign that there is still some lye in the soap. Another thing I've seen is to put a small amount in a cup or jar, add water, and stir. The mixture should be clear.
Let me see if I understood, did you add store bought liquid castile soap (a little bit) to the homemade concoction? I didn't get it. I 'd really like to try it. Thanks!!
I’m having a bit of trouble here. It’s not quite melting all the way I have big foot chunks of hard soap it’s melting really really slow, I’ve been trying to melt it for 30 min and I even turned to heat back on
I apologize for not replying sooner, but I just saw the comment. I hope that the recipe worked out for you. If there is anything I can assist you with please let me know. Thank you.
I'm so sorry for not responding sooner but I never received the notification. 😔 I've never personally done it with tap water but I think it would be ok.
I don't know because I've never tried it, but perhaps you can try making it with half of all the ingredients and see if it works. This way, you don't waste a whole bar if it doesn't.
@@WaterLily220 I tried it with a soap I was using that I didn’t mind losing. It worked great, so I’ll say this technique will work with pretty much any soap. One more question. If I use less water, will the liquid soap end up a bit thicker, less liquidy?
@@DeannasWorld Thank you so much for sharing this info with us, because a lot of people wonder if it works with other soaps too. And I tried making it last night with only one cup of water, and the soap seemed a tiny bit thicker but not like the consistency of store-bought soap, it's only more concentrated, that's it. Thanks again for your comment. 🤗
emeeeych hi there! I have no idea sweetie. These are the only ones I've ever used. Perhaps you can try it out with a small piece first, so you don't waste an entire bar. So sorry I was not able to help you with that. Hope it works though :)
dev bachu you can try adding a little bit more of the liquid castile soap to it, stir it and let it sit there a little while for the soap to liquify. hope it helps :)
I saw a recipe using glycerine instead of castil soap and it look like the same consistency so i think it worth for you to try bc it a lot more cheaper
Ed Valdes hi there! From what I know, glycerin is used to make it moisturizing, it will not make it lather. If you have any other questions please let me know :)
I have tried this and failed!! The soap i use is olive oil castile soap and have needed to add 11 cups of water to get it to not be a solid again, still snot like texture though. Any ideas??
Hi Caroline. I'm so sorry to hear that :( Have you tried adding more liquid castile soap? If your soap is still gel-like, try adding more liquid soap, shake it up, let it sit for several hours or overnight and it should become liquid. If that doesn't work, I would try using a different kind of bar soap next time. I usually use the unscented Kirk's castile bar soap. If you have any other questions, please let me know. thank you :)
I didn't, can't get it where I live, hence me trying to make my own. I used a bar of soap made with olive oil, pitted olive oil and lye. Grated it, added it to hot 8 cups of water and melted it. Poured into containers. By morning it was almost solid, I heated another 2 cups of water and poured soap mix in to re-melt. By morning it was still snot like,, added another cup and still no joy!!!
caroline watton if you do not add the liquid castile soap to your bar soap mixture, it will become gelatinous. the liquid castile soap is what makes it stay liquid.
caroline watton so sorry to hear that. You can still use it of course, if you don't mind the consistency. I trust that soon you'll have access to liquid castile soap. have a great day :)
jax66able yes I have and it works fine, only that it left white soap marks on my glasses, and that's why I stopped using it as dish soap. it cleans good, it just doesn't look good..lol but give it try, perhaps it can work out for you!
I have found that if you put 1 cup of vinegar into the water to rinse off dishes the glassware came out fine Also I can believe how my hand and body was didn't come out slimy Thanks for the tip
mawadah mwanyali you can but it will not lather and it's not very potent because it is deluded soap. That's why I only tend to use it for hand soap, shampoo, tooth soap, light cleaning, etc.
obies mom hi obies mom. yes I am. it keeps for several months if using distilled water. I make small batches and use it up within a few months, so the exact amount of time it will keep, I am not sure. Thank you for watching! :)
Thank you So SO much ... I am delving into the realm of DIY soaps and body products and am learning a lot. Unfortunately I have had several FAILS and it is wonderful to learn this from you before I waste some really good ingredients... Like everyone else I DO NOT LIKE SLIMY.... I am dying to do this and have no apprehension at all judging by all the comments before me. I'm hoping to make it to veganism eventually ...interested in the info that you share. Much appreciated. Cheers.
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for your comment. I trust that you will like the soap :) Very glad to hear you are moving towards veganism! Thank you for sharing! :D
Danne Stack from what I know, it's best to use distilled water because it keeps longer. perhaps if you are going to use it up very quickly it might be ok. I've never used purified water on my homemade products so I can't say for sure if it's ok :)
I have not made gallon batches of this but you could just double or tripple the amount to fit your needs. If you have any other questions please let me know :) thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing! I have been trying to find ways to prevent my soap from forming disgusting gel consistency. I will see if it works for me too!
she havent got it explained the right and the exact amount of liquid castile soap to use in the bottle, also when bar soap is added to the liquid soap it wont look clear like she has shown here in the picture because iive at least made a hundred bottles so far
hi Jazmin! usually soaps made without lathering agents tend not to lather too much but they do clean. If you want it to be extra foamy you can simply just add less water to it :)
Am I correct in saying I just need to grate the soap n place it in the hot water? That's it? N the essential oils of course. I really would love to try this!! Thank you
Yes, you just need to add hot water to the grated soap, give it a little stir, and let it sit until it melts. Once it has cooled, you can pour the Castile soap (you can add the Castile soap to the grated soap right away, when the water is hot, if you like. It doesn´t make a difference), pour it into the soap dispenser and add the essential oils. I usually add the EO directly into the container you are going to use them so that they don´t end up stuck to the mixing bowl and you loose/waste part of the EO. If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks for watching.

hello so it worked it stayed liquid! ! which is great cuz I did this before and hated the result. but this is great! one final question, did you use this as if it were the real dr. bronners. or do you add a bit more of this....? I'm gonna make laundry detergent and it calls for a cup of Dr bronners. should I add more of this?
hi Jazmin! yay! so glad it worked out :) I would use more of this soap to your laundry detergent. I would probably do 1 1/2 to 2 cups of this, because the store bought one is concentrated. You can always start out with this amount and add more to the detergent if you thinks it needs it :D
Jade Oi hi Jade! good question. I started with 2 cups of water just to melt the bar sopap, then I added the rest of the distilled water to the plastic container to fill it up to the top. So the total amount of water is what I wrote down. Sorry for the confusion.
Jade Oi hi Jade. I have not tried any other bar soap. I've only used castile soap. I would think it would work with any bar soap, but I don't know for sure. Perhaps you might need to adjust the amount of liquid soap you add to it if it becomes gelatinous. thanks!
I am so grateful you figured this out! (the 1/4 cp liquid) I have used 1 gal of water to bars and they still were gunky.Perhaps the fact that liquid and bar are initially made w/ a different base ingredient is the reason ? Have you made diy shampoo? I see some folks are sold on zote soap (even cheaper than castile) I hafta recheck the ingredients (not certain if it is all natural) just ran across this ,salt makes it gel like(vs gooey-like)which can be desirable for those wanting a gel-like body soap One more thing, the visionware glass I heard has lead in it (I got rid of all mine) I am not certain, just heard it (before the days of the internet) so I would check on that .
truth freeze I appreciate your gratitude :) I have made my own shampoo in the past with both the gel like and the liquid version of the soap. it works either way. I have not used zote only castile soap.
just wondering (zote is about one dollar) Also, just wondering if you knew how to make the soap more lathery (for shampoo) as my family complains (they are so used to lather, yet the store bought lather shampoos have the toxic ingrediants) It would be great if we had a DIY lathery shampoo that was natural ingredients and so far ,have not ran across info on how to.(even if we could make a DIY that was not cheaper than store bought,we would have a nontoxic way) ditto for underarm deoderant, Your video here is to the point and well done!
Thank you! I have not found a way to make it more lathery, maybe because I don't mind it the way it is. I am used to it now (and I actually prefer it this way). Hopefully we'll be able to figure out a way or find someone who has for those that prefer the lather. that would be great! :D
So to make economical liquid castile from an inexpensive castile bar you need to buy the expensive liquid castile? 😫 I was trying to avoid the need to purchase the pricey one altogether, not extend the life of the pricey one. What will you do when you are done with the real Dr Bronner's liquid. Buy more to make more from an inexpensive bar? Are all these people commenting how good it turned out, who are making "inexpensive Bronner's soap" from bar soap buying expensive Bronner's soap to do that?
hipretty what she meant is while making soap using liquid caatile only....a lot more is used..but if added with bar soap lesser liquid castile is used so u can make more
simply put the soap pieces into the dispenser, put some cold water in it , shake it and voila 😍...i 've done it and it worked 😉...no need all these processes 😂😂

Thanks!!
Yes. By adding a little bit of the store bought soap, it keeps it liquid instead of gelatinous.
Thank you.
Susy Languren Di Vegan I can’t really remember. because it was two years ago but I do remember that I couldn’t get it to work
You have a great idea here, love it will have to this, beats waiting 5 hours I like anything fast and easy. Thanks for sharing😃
You are very welcome! 🤗
can i use normal tap water?
I'm so sorry for not responding sooner but I never received the notification. 😔
I've never personally done it with tap water but I think it would be ok.
So all do u add water or what i dont understanding! Someone help what is the trick?
The recipe is in the description box.
Do you know if this will work with any other kind of soap, like Dove soap, etc? Or will it only work with bar Castile soap?
Hi. I have a bunch of yardleys but it's made from tallow, will this only work with vegetable based bars? Thank you.
emeeeych hi there! I have no idea sweetie. These are the only ones I've ever used. Perhaps you can try it out with a small piece first, so you don't waste an entire bar. So sorry I was not able to help you with that. Hope it works though :)
Susy Languren Di Vegan
Thank you for your reply. This was a really good tutorial. I look forward to trying it out. Thanks again.
My dish soap gel ontopvdo I add water an stir isvit too thick
dev bachu you can try adding a little bit more of the liquid castile soap to it, stir it and let it sit there a little while for the soap to liquify. hope it helps :)
I saw a recipe using glycerine instead of castil soap and it look like the same consistency so i think it worth for you to try bc it a lot more cheaper
Hodaya Dostri thank you so much! I will give that a try :)
Did it work?
Hi, Some videos tell you to add glycerin. I purchased it. Can I add some and would you know what it's purpose is? Would it help make it lathery?
Ed Valdes hi there! From what I know, glycerin is used to make it moisturizing, it will not make it lather. If you have any other questions please let me know :)
Thank you Susy - from a fellow vegan. :)
Ed Valdes hi fellow vegan!!!! :D
I tried this receipt and it didn't work for me..I don't know what I did wrong
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that.
Did you try adding more Castile soap?
Running the slime soap through the blender didn't help?
I didn't try that.
OK thanks anyway, as I said I cannot get it where I live so maybe back to the drawing board!
caroline watton so sorry to hear that. You can still use it of course, if you don't mind the consistency. I trust that soon you'll have access to liquid castile soap. have a great day :)
Hi have you made this as liquid dish soap with this method
jax66able yes I have and it works fine, only that it left white soap marks on my glasses, and that's why I stopped using it as dish soap. it cleans good, it just doesn't look good..lol but give it try, perhaps it can work out for you!
I have found that if you put 1 cup of vinegar into the water to rinse off dishes the glassware came out fine
Also I can believe how my hand and body was didn't come out slimy
Thanks for the tip
jax66able you are very welcome! And thank you so much for sharing this tip about the vinegar. I did not know that. I really appreciate it :D
Thank you for sharing I enjoyed watching.
You are very welcome! 🤗
does the bar soap have to be castile.....or can I use my fav soap?
I've never tried it with any other soap but I don't see why it would not work also.
Can i use ut for washing clothes?
mawadah mwanyali you can but it will not lather and it's not very potent because it is deluded soap. That's why I only tend to use it for hand soap, shampoo, tooth soap, light cleaning, etc.
are you still using this recipe? how long does it keep for?
obies mom hi obies mom. yes I am. it keeps for several months if using distilled water.
I trust that you will like the soap :)
Very glad to hear you are moving towards veganism! Thank you for sharing! :D
Would filtered water do or it has to be distilled water?
Danne Stack from what I know, it's best to use distilled water because it keeps longer. perhaps if you are going to use it up very quickly it might be ok. I've never used purified water on my homemade products so I can't say for sure if it's ok :)
Ok thanks Susy.
have you tried making this in a gallon batch?
I have not made gallon batches of this but you could just double or tripple the amount to fit your needs. If you have any other questions please let me know :) thank you for watching!
Wow!! Thank you so much.
This is a great 👍😀
You are very welcome!! :D
Thank you so much for sharing! I have been trying to find ways to prevent my soap from forming disgusting gel consistency. I will see if it works for me too!
You are very welcome! please let me know if you have any questions :) I appreciate your gratitude michellelee427 :D
she havent got it explained the right and the exact amount of liquid castile soap to use in the bottle, also when bar soap is added to the liquid soap it wont look clear like she has shown here in the picture because iive at least made a hundred bottles so far
ok I bought the bar today I already had bronners!! :) thanks for your help
Awesome! my pleasure Jazmin! :) If I can be of any assistance please contact me :)
Your voice is so soothing. Waow!
Thank you very much. 😊
Thanks
dev bachu you are very welcome :)
does this lather well?
hi Jazmin! usually soaps made without lathering agents tend not to lather too much but they do clean. If you want it to be extra foamy you can simply just add less water to it :)
Help, I'm confused.
Thanks Suzy. We don't get Castille Soap here in South Africa. 😁
Forgive me for being such a pest. Things are crazy expensive here too! N I'm so loving the homemade recipes on you tube.
The others, like you said, becomes slimy. So this is the perfect liquid soap for the family!
Blessings to you 🌹
@@sheelathackorbhaga7871 Oh no! Sorry that you don't get any Castile soap :(
And you are NOT a pest!!😊 I'm gland that you are loving the recipes!! :D Thank you and big hugs!!! 🧡🙏
Can You Show Us How To Make A Shampoo That Makes You Hair Healthy And Shiny And That Leaves It Feeling Clean Fresh At Least A Day Or Two Days And Your Hair Smelling Good And Still Looking Good At Least For Two Days Thank You For Sharing
Thanks for your request.
I've made several homemade shampoos, but I haven't really liked them enough to share. If I ever do come up with a good one, I'll make a video about it.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your video and recipe! So, if I don't have any ingredients yet, I'll need to buy a bar of castile soap and some castile liquid soap?
yes and some distilled water :)
hello so it worked it stayed liquid! ! which is great cuz I did this before and hated the result. but this is great! one final question, did you use this as if it were the real dr. bronners. or do you add a bit more of this....? I'm gonna make laundry detergent and it calls for a cup of Dr bronners. should I add more of this?
hi Jazmin! yay! so glad it worked out :) I would use more of this soap to your laundry detergent. I would probably do 1 1/2 to 2 cups of this, because the store bought one is concentrated. You can always start out with this amount and add more to the detergent if you thinks it needs it :D
Hi Just curious how to we use this to make laundry detergent? If you can share, it would be great. Thanks.
You say 2 cups of water in the video but in the description you wrote 3 1/2 cups... please clarify. but the video is great. Thanks for showing this.
Jade Oi hi Jade! good question. I started with 2 cups of water just to melt the bar sopap, then I added the rest of the distilled water to the plastic container to fill it up to the top. So the total amount of water is what I wrote down. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks. Can I use any type of bar soap or must it be a bar of castile soap?
Jade Oi hi Jade. I have not tried any other bar soap. I've only used castile soap. I would think it would work with any bar soap, but I don't know for sure. Perhaps you might need to adjust the amount of liquid soap you add to it if it becomes gelatinous. thanks!
Hi Susy, So, your pump holds 3.5 cups of liquid to fill it? Thank you.
I'm so excited I'm gonna try a noncastile bar soap. i have a bar that i love the scent but not the bar form. ill comment back
Thank u
You are very welcome! :D
wE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE INGREDIENT IS IN THE STORE BOUGHT!
truth freeze yes! :)
I can't hear you. Too low
So to make economical liquid castile from an inexpensive castile bar you need to buy the expensive liquid castile? 😫
I was trying to avoid the need to purchase the pricey one altogether, not extend the life of the pricey one. What will you do when you are done with the real Dr Bronner's liquid. Buy more to make more from an inexpensive bar? Are all these people commenting how good it turned out, who are making "inexpensive Bronner's soap" from bar soap buying expensive Bronner's soap to do that?
hipretty what she meant is while making soap using liquid caatile only....a lot more is used..but if added with bar soap lesser liquid castile is used so u can make more
you can use any soap. shows you how much soap is actually in a bottle of liquid soap.
simply put the soap pieces into the dispenser, put some cold water in it , shake it and voila 😍...i 've done it and it worked 😉...no need all these processes 😂😂
would like to see you make video of it.... i'm not sure i understand how the process of it
Thank you for sharing this!
Leave the Heavens out of this. God dosen't micro-managed but has given you a mind to criticaclly evaluate and decide what you need to do. You are actually in DANGER of using the name of the Lord in vain.
I thought God used Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap. I know it's in the Bible somewhere ...
You did not show pouring into bottle so I do not trust video until you do.
No safety apron/smock. Did anyone else notice she did not turn off the stove, yet bent over stove, yikes. I'm in the kitchen a lot to create, so the bells and whistles went off here. Do Like the dress.
Ana Stewart You're being too literal and a bit naive...There's real time and camera time and editing. I'll leave it at that. ;)
You are very negative and bitter. She's making it for herself so she doesn't need to wear an aprons. If you don't like, just don't watch!
Ana Stewart why would she need a safety apron? She’s not working with lye this is a bar of soap. I hope you got a great amount of pleasure from your spiteful remark.
can i use normal tap water?
I'm sure you can. It just might last less time than with distilled water. If you are going to use it up in a few months, I'm sure it will be ok.
Thanks
You are very welcome! :)
