This is my second time using this recipe, and I got rave reviews from my family. This time around, I made a separate batch as a body wash, adding VE, Castor oil and Jojoba butter. I also added Frankesense as my EO, and wow, it is lovely. I also whipped it just to see what it would do and it just turned out great, very light abd fluffy. Thank you very much, this is a great basic recipe. You are generous to share it❤ Many blessings to you.
😂😆😂 liquid hand soap or body wash similar process now after it's made to either than I can leave 48 hrs after that add herbs gentle herbs mild skin essential oils a few drops vegetable glycerin olive oil vit r or liquid vitamins adding nourishing ingredients to protect skin barrier and even oatmeal rice bran can b added in minute amounts
If u put more water u can turn it into body wash use natural water spring purified or distilled tap water is no good for soap making especially with awful hard water
I don’t understand this video. That’s a lot of time and effort for a very marginal money saving. Factoring in your time, bottles and energy, these cost more than ready-made liquid soap. What’s more concerning is the bacteria that will grow in these liquids in less than a week if no preservatives are used. They are absolutely essential. It’s really dangerous with soap as the strong scent of soaps can cover mold and bacteria, and the slippery nature of soap sort of resembles the slimy biofilm thats brewing in those bottles unfortunately. Finally, if plastic waste is a concern, you could just use the soap bars to wash your hands (save energy and work plus no need for new plastic bottles), or buy the refill packages and use your existing bottle - at least here in Europe those little satchets are readily available at the stores. On a more positive note, your food looks delicious, I think the world is a better place if you stick with cooking food instead of soap 🤗
I made ghis using lux soap but once cooled in pot it hardens again, I melted it again adding another 2 cups water and again hardens. What should I do??
I just did this and I used 250g of water for 100g of soap. This recipe is based on this videos guide. The guide is using 90g of soap which is equivalent to 240g of water. One soap game me 250g of liquid soap.
@@AB-sq1nu exactly as the video guide. Super soft and with great smell. I did it only once as we decided to buy a soap bag and use the soap directly for shower. But defenetly I will make this recipe again once my hand soap runs off.
Do you need a preservative? I’ve watched a lot of videos like this and a lot of people seem to say it goes bad quickly once turned into liquid soap. How quickly does the soap go bad?
@@BasicallyBijou they can go bad.... in about a week at most. after that. throw out the soap... all formulas that has been added water needs to have preservatives. as water is the perfect place for micorbials and bacterias to contaminate and grow. use preservatives percentages accordingly
I wouldn't advise it. The chemical used in soap should not be mixed with food products. It would be better to have two separate pots, even if you just buy a cheaper one for making soap.

hi, what is VE. and can you sell this
Explain the abbreviations....
Wow..
I've been making this for a body wash, too. I love it. Much cheaper than buying body wash n hand soap. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I’ve tried this but the soap gets really gelatinous and weird.
Add some alcohol or an emulsifier. Might help
I'm going to try and make it into body wash with less water
Dude that’s an awesome idea too

Add pure glycerine to make it more thicker

Can you tell us if the soap separated or went bad after some time?
No, it doesn't separate go off. I've been making this for a few years now, n haven't had a problem.
Why would I. More economical to use the bar. You certainly get too much soap from one squeeze.
it needs broad Sprectum preservative and use distilled water.
I made ghis using lux soap but once cooled in pot it hardens again, I melted it again adding another 2 cups water and again hardens. What should I do??
Nice and simple, good job! No additives.
It’s not considered no additives because it’s in the Dove soap.
may b bicarbonate baking soda and white vinegar
So to make in small batches use 1 bar + 1 1/2 cups water?

never thought id be cooking bar soap
Do I need a preservative
I love dove hand wash , but it’s so expensive.. this winter holidays I will try DIY 😀
something missing
Thank you! Can we do this with any soap? I assume so..
Dove isn't a true soap it's a synthetic soap so it works well to dilute it
11 glasses of water, but how many milliliters are the glasses, 200ml?
Can you make liquid soap frm any kind of dove bar soap or any other bar of soap?
Hi ilove it videos this is the easiest way video how to turn bar to liquid soap. I have question?if I can add Kojic soap and other bar soap to mix?
Hi.... Lillian from Uganda....can I add in glycerin and preserver ties and can I use it to wash my face and body?
Why would you use green friendly bar, to put it in the plastic ?
You didn't add any preservatives? This could mold or smell bad in a weeks
Why??? It’s just SOAP
Soap is anti-bacterial. You're not going to be eating it!
thank you so much but you are not answering the questions please answer the question
mine turn into solid
add water, you just mixed too much soap in the reciepe, thin it out with higher percentage of water
Do you need a preservative? I’ve watched a lot of videos like this and a lot of people seem to say it goes bad quickly once turned into liquid soap. How quickly does the soap go bad?
I don't see why one would need a preservative for soap. Isn't it suppose to be anti-bacterial?

Wouldn’t boiling the water sterilise the water?
@@lindagillies2561 I would like to know that too
Thank you and really good video 😊
Nice, thank you so very much
Thank u simple and easy
Can’t wait to try it
Love it
Wow very good can we use for shower
Thank you for sharing :)
i dont see the reason y u would ever turn dove soap bar into hand liquid soap, it is not supposed to be used for washing hands!
Thank you!
Very nice. I will try it out. Thank you
Nice
Thanks 👍
💯💯✅✅✅💕💕
Thank you Cristina
Love this, thank you
Fascinating
After making soap in the pot are you able to use that same pot to cook food in after washing it?
Yes
I wouldn't advise it. The chemical used in soap should not be mixed with food products. It would be better to have two separate pots, even if you just buy a cheaper one for making soap.
Yes as long as you clean it like you would when using Dawn... after all, it’s just soap.
Why not? As long you're using containers made of metal or glass. Just rinse well.
@@pixiebloom8554 You must be young. Poor advice.
Or you could... you know, buy the liquid version at the same price?
Yes, but this way you reuse the same bottles and creates less plastic. That's one of the reasons why I loved this idea.
@@teresaestrada223 Do you know that Dove makes their bottles from reusable plastic, no? 😅
Last thing I heard, less than 10% of plastic generated globally has been recycled so far....., see it to believe it!
Plastic can only be recycled ONCE AND only ~5% of its containers get recycled as it’s too expensive.
🤔if it’s the same price to buy already made, wouldn’t the homemade end up more expensive because of the electricity used?
Using a she-wee as a funnel is ingenious 😊😊
can I also make a hard/bar soap from liquid soap? what should I do? thanks in advance
can i add flavor like lemon or rose? or how will it have color?
Yes
I would assume adding a little food coloring and essential oils or flavor extracts like strawberry, peach, lemon, etc...
why not to use meat grinder? i use after shampoo containers!
