wow the 8k sensor was shown in this video 2 years ago! Just taken delivery of the 8k ronin 4d combo pack! with 17-28mm T3.0 zoom lens! as part of the combo. Very happy!
Amazing camera by the looks of it. I love the idea, can't believe it that it hasn't been done before in such a small form factor with a 8K full frame sensor based camera system (as far I know).

What about tele lenses and cinemalenses like those heavy zeiss ones? Is it possible to use them and balance them?? Thanks for an answer :)
Some can be used, but the narrow 4" sensor mount clearing between the 2 gimbal joints negate any fat master primes or Tokina cine vista lenses. Anything skinny enough to fit can be locked in to the camera without gimbal use and tilta lens support. Then the 4D becomes a regular camera (without gimbal) but still pretty great with 8k, focus handgrips and awesome wireless capabilities.
The DJI Ronin 4D is really cool. However, DJI's design engineers should consider the same concept to be applicable to TV productions especially TV dramas, TV news shoots and stage shows. For that news, the cameraman must also be carried on his shoulders because he has to hold the camera for a long time all the time. and sometimes have to raise the camera at a high angle above the head Because they want to avoid the look of journalists together. Camera shooting needed to be able to put the camera on the shoulder and raise the camera higher. I hope this comment gets some attention and builds on it so that we can actually use it.

Does anyone know if the Ronin 4D 6k comes with any internal memory storage? or do you have to buy the prossd or cf cards seperately?
it comes with Cfast type 2 port, same as the 8k. The SSD reader has a dummy Cfast plug that goes into the port and that's how data is recorded, so you can only feasibly use the SSD or the Cfast in real world scenarios

I just bought the 4D 8k. I love its potential but damn is customer support slow, if not simply strange to communicate with via online chat (the only option). And it's really quirky stuff, like why my 8k full-frame footage is being exported with a rec-709 LUT instead of the flat D-LOG it's presumably set to in recording options.
Also, the "simple" enabling of the camera settings running along the top and bottom of the main monitor don't show up. I'm assuming it's button/dial somewhere, and after going through the official manual twice can't find a mention of it anywhere. Gosh I wish there was a human resource (or elaborate tutorial) I can reference to get these questions answered. After 4 days of trying to solve these 2 issues I'm stumped...

@@DJISupportGlobal Thanks for addressing my issues! Turns out ProesRaw was recording in D-LOG (default) and Adobe Premiere Pro was slapping a Rec-709 by default (found by clicking on the clip name tab in the EFFECTS CONTROLS window).
Also, I was loosing camera settings on my display because I didn't secure the X9 camera to the z-axis mount PERFECTLY... and I found THAT out because tech support suggested I do a factory reset, and upon attempting that was notified with a "camera not properly attached " warning. Once I addressed that and did a factory reset I was up and running. Thanks again DJI support!

Am I the only one that doesn't adore the image coming out of this?
It is lacking something that usual cinema camera's have in the visual department and I can't quite place my finger on what it is.
8k doesn't mean much to me if arri alexas have been using 2.8k for years and have a much superior image.
It doesn't even stack up against my BMPCC 6k pro from the footage I've seen so far.
Convenience wise it's a game changer, but cinema camera's have never been about convenience.
I baught 2 drones from dji and let me telll You the mavic is a piece of Junk I will never waste another dime on a dji over priced inferior drone again . Junk
I hope your planes and missiles fly better than your drones guys cause if this is your best your headed for heart ache.😂
