So as an owner/operator, I love the camera. What I was hoping for with this setup, is the ability to use telephoto lenses easier. That doesn't seem to be the case really because the gimbal must come with the detachment. I really wish they would make something to make telephoto lenses as easy as the short lenses!
Honestly a pretty cool concept. I think DJI needs to prove these are going to have a good ecosystem before lots of people start investing. Cool video though man :)
I want one of these. But assuming your getting a 'whole kit' with all the accessories and a reasonable set of lens, your still looking at $50K. Still GREAT value. Its a beast of a camera. But its not a 'starter camera' for new video/cinematographers. This is a great tool for those that can put it to work on the regular. I still want one!
@@sergiosanchez2012 $50K was a ball park illustration number. It could easily be more or less. What I am referring too is the investment into an 'ecosystem'. Most people look at the price of a camera, and throw most of their budget into that body. But we all know with a bit of experience how many accessories it takes to support a camera to do the jobs we need it to do well. Over my years of observing this, I reckon this ecosystem costs approximately 10x the camera body. Lens, lights, memory cards, etc that fill well withing that 'budget class'. Example: $1K body is going to end up costing about $10K in things in the end. $10K body will end up costing about 100K in things in the end. The reason being is you don't invest 10's of thousands behind a cheap camera to support it, and you don't cheaply support an expensive camera. There is a sort of ratio that we line up with. So when someone says they have $5K and want to buy their first camera, I will suggest they get a decent used camera for around 1K so they have 4K to invest into all the thing they don't know they need. In due time, even they will break their $5K budget with that cheaper camera.
For commercial work it seems like a value sell for clients where you can charge less, but still not have rent or have in hand all this gear which is low on the billable side, and still charge enough because the quality is there.
I feel like everyone is trying so hard to sell this product and honestly it’s such a niche product today tomorrow it’s gone don’t think it’s going to be here for long my honest opinion! Don’t get me wrong Dji is so innovative and trust me if it wasn’t for them creating affordable products I would not be so successful in my journey but I really think they should rethink that concept
All cameras are gone after a couple of years and replaced by something else. If You want something yo last forever a 35mm camera is the only sound investment but is very very Niche and aimed a the very top end.
Sony copies the system from Arri, and Arri from SI2K. And from the three the Silicón imaging is the Best. Problem with Sony is that the rialto cable cost almost twice as much than the complete Ronin4D camera.
Jakes fired.
This comment didn't age well.
Who is Jake?

What it really would match up with perfectly, is the Tilta Float !!
Yup, we used it and it works awesome
Next video topic?
Seems like a cool setup. Wish you would have shown more video from it like the punches thrown

I know what You mean. I've spent loads of money on cameras in the past.
Whoi makes the waist belt you are using with the FLEX system
How do you lock down the tilt, roll and pan motors for a shoulder rig without damaging the internal system of the camera?
i sold my reds and fx3 to use this. No regrets
New expensive toy from DJI 👍
Hey! Which Monopod you use? THX!
Thanks for this super cool content, what's the monopod brand? Thanks!
Can you buy the raw license so we can see what the Pro Res Raw looks like?

10:35 Bro-tie your shoe lace! Lol
I feel like if they can do this with their regular gimbals would be sick.
What adapter did you guys use to use canon lens. Did you have control of capture n autofocus?
Is there a way to put a shotgun mic on the flex setup?
I feel like a sucker for spending 8K on my Z9 with accessories.
Cool video Armando, have U shot in Pro Res Raw? I got mine yesterday and have to understood if buy or not the raw license.Any suggestion? Cheers
Prores RAW isn’t needed. If you want the ultimate quality you can do Prores444
@@mondobytes May I ask U setting of Your video and if used a lut or PowerGrade in Davinci?
I love it by why are all the backpacks sold out already
nice
Armando dropping on street with the cam gave me heart attack yikes! 👍🏼
I didn’t drop it, someone else did.
The way how this Flex is setup will have the monitor showing images upside down. Anyone know how to invert it back?
There’s a button on the display to invert the image.
I wish DJI would let me trade my Ronin 2 for the 4D. It just might be the perfect single op system.
Surely they will do if you have 200k followers
@@SpongeBob-xh8ir I’m just here for the awesome information. It’s great that we get to see these units in action in variety of shooting situations.
They need a PL mount gimbal.
I like the idea of the 4D but I will never own or use one.
wuah aku pengen kamera ini, tapi apakah ada versi murahnya ?
i wish they would ship it
How's the auto focus?
It uses LiDAr so it’s very good!

Real world usage bro, we put it to the test because we use it ha!

why does the term "wORkFloW" feel like the corniest jargon term in the history of professions?
