This week, I worked upper body, lower body, and high intense, balance exercises, and today I felt the stiffness of body, so decided to do this Yoga, which helped me a lot. I should do more Yoga after the intense exercises. 😅 Thank you for all your work, and thank you, Eric for your support by which we are receiving a lot of benefits.

0:04 Thank you, Dr Lisa. I’ve recently returned to yoga, so am not exactly a newbie, but at the age of almost 71 and as someone with osteoporosis, yoga is harder than I remember it being. This routine was really great, and I’ve been trying a few different ones. The pace and the poses were really comfortable yet challenging enough to be effective. I paused the video in a couple of places to prolong the unwinding process. I also really like the way you came into and out of several of the poses, like the Goddess pose and bridge. All together it felt respectful of my joints both in not being too much but also being enough!!! Thanks again and I’m looking forward to more yoga with you.

I enjoyed this video. My latest DEXA scan showed a mark decrease in density. Your video helped me think about modifying some of my poses. However, very irritating to have an add pop up in the middle.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I try to set all exercise videos to not have mid roll adds, but sometimes they still occur. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you, Dr Lisa, for this practice. I was curious as I have been doing yoga for quite a few years and had had osteopenia then osteoporosis since 2005. I do many of these poses often in my daily practice. I wondered what evidence there is for yoga being helpful for osteoporosis sufferers? Can yoga help slow/reverse the thinning of bone? Kate
The Fishman 12 yoga poses have been studied and show increased bone density. The results are debated in some circles. But, yoga is very important for balance, strength, posture and joint mobility so we can perform safe movement. I think it's wonderful to support a comprehensive bone health plan to prevent fractures.
