Having grown up on the Gower Peninsular, this was an outstanding episode. Viewing it from 6000 miles away and almost 90 years since my birth, it was a gift like no other! This lovely couple’s love of the area warms my heart and Marguerite’s contribution put it over the top. Thank you so very much from California!❤ 42:53
The husband had such a good attitude, perhaps his wife's lack of a work life and no hobbies means she has just lived a smaller life in comparison? I feel bad for lovely Marguerite when she tries to make her happy.
While I love the views from the mystery house, the entrance facing a fence is a big No. House no. 2 is nice - near to the beach that they want, near to their son and with extra $ since it was below their budget. I find Marguerite a great presenter - very engaging and makes the showing light hearted vs. it being just a business transaction.
I actually find the fence to the front appealing because it makes it feel private. That was what I loved about house number 1 as well, the privacy at the front.
Definitely, especially with it being such a new development. It is almost guaranteed that will happen to connect the new builds up to where the pre-existing houses are across the field.
That could potentially happen but before it does, one can just enjoy the views now for that price. It's easy to upsize and move on to a bigger and better place. No one knows what the future will hold in terms of family and future job commitments.
it would really be nice to see some follow up on some of the people who actually buy one of the houses you show them, to see how they are living and getting on in their new home
They have done this but they are quite hard to find on YT - iirc it was called 'we escaped to the country' plus they will often revisit at the end of some of the episodes where they have 2 presenters.
I would go for the mystery house in a heartbeat. It was the cheapest out of the 3, yet brand-new only a year, no work needed, just move in. Detached, 3 double bedrooms with potential for a 4th and even a 5th, beautiful finishings and those breathtaking views.
Margherita is great - so is this episode, thanks for sharing!🙂 I liked the mystery house, the views were amazing, but it lacked character. I'd still happily live in it to be honest though.
First house: the host says: there is also a huge garage block, I see this white block, but are these the neighbors? It’s so fascinating to hear about this Berrial-site! Thank you so much ETTC for uploading!
I could happily have lived in any of these houses; they all had lots of positives. The views from the mystery house were pretty special. In terms of architecture I preferred the style of house one.
Me too I loved the architecture of house 1 especially the stone work in front. Unfortunately it was above budget and would need some updating. It was also the farthest from the beach.
I like that they aren't wanting to get rid of all the stuff they have collected and enjoyed over time. They've spent years putting together things they like and I really like that they are taking it all to Thier new lofe
Me too, especially the price. Houses with views are usually expensive but this one turned out to be the cheapest out of the 3 houses they saw plus only a year old
House #1 - ample space? Plenty of space? The host is full of wishful thinking. House #2 - postage stamp garden. Large living room? Who is she kidding? Mystery house - too close to the neighbors. Bland design. Nice sized kitchen. Best location for the sea and space, in a housing development. 😒
Yes it is close to neighbours but it is still a detached house, even had more outside space in the front and back than the other two, was cheaper and had privacy with the fencing
The presenter comes across as a simple and down to earth type of person. I don't find her loud at all. Is it possible that you might be a bit too sensitive? I have seen many programs with her in it and never came across anyone complaining about her laughter. Sometimes, the problem is not others but us..heehheheh.
The presenter is a fabuless person,i don't think she's loud at all ,just a happy person

If they chose the mystery house by the sea 🌊, they added 10 to 15 years of life.
Love the charming host, BRAVA!!!

No one addressed the potential problem with house 3 which is that the views are pretty until someone builds in front of them.
That's what fields are for, right?

It's easy to input character into a house. You.can't conjure up views unfortunately

I would hate the wooden fences. It is too tight for me.....

👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.
I love her Escape videos
Is THAT view protected??? First question to ask....
It might not be but it is great to enjoy now for that price.
😊😊lovely couple wish the best
Still one of the best mystery houses for me.

Wonder what is to the rear, with only front garden mentioned what is behind?
House 1 and 2 didn't really have anything at the back
Wish we'd got to see more of that son...
😄 Good looking lad, wasn't he?
And....?
House #1 - ample space? Plenty of space? The host is full of wishful thinking.
House #2 - postage stamp garden. Large living room? Who is she kidding?

None of these houses actually suited this couple. Small rooms, small kitchens and the houses seemed overpriced. Keep looking.
Small kitchens?
The kitchens weren't small especially the 2nd and 3rd houses.
The presenter's laugh is SO LOUD and overpowering, I stop listening. Tell her to stop DOMINATING with her irritating laugh.
Marguerite has such a calming voice and personality! Lots of laughter all around!😊 Good choice on you ... stop listening!😅

I really love this presenter she isn't pushy and seems to have a lot of empathy with the house hunters one of my favorites
No ways! Are you not confusing her with Sonali?🤣
