if they could reprogram the game to where slowdown happened only when a player or boss (or last enemy in the group) lost their last life, that would be cool. I agree stylistically it is nice, but other times its just annoying, especially when you're playing through the whole game and it's happening all the time with 2 players.
Weird ending right when two twin have to fight over a girl,that's weird,the ending should be when the friend wins,the opponent must shake hand and free the girl

how did you overclock this it says netplay so i assume your using an emulator i was under the impression you could not overclock emulators is this a hacked rom if so where do i get it
Not all emulators have an overclock feature, but MAME does. All new versions of MAME have the overclock feature in the "slider controls" section in the tab menu. The way to overclock this game online (if you are using a version of MAME with netplay) is to press left shift+f11 and then press 8.

They should've swapped the endings the player's character fights 🥋 against their ghost (spirit)👻 in Double Dragon then the player one character fights the player two character in Double Dragon ll The Revenge
I had to fight my pal in the end and had him down to one life bar. I then walked off the edge by mistake. He went nuts. Such great memories. We played the whole game on our last 20c after much practice weeks before. Lol

I agree we die a lot. While I would have liked to record this game with less deaths (as well as other games), it's just not practical, at least as far as 2 or more players are concerned. I could practice this game on my own, but that's not something I could drag other people into.

raymond rivera That's weird that your version would have an issue, considering it's a newer version than the one I used in this video. I was using MAME++ 0.117 (although you could get 0.119, which is easier to find a download for).
raymond rivera I do overclock it by 400%, but since I play it online, it doesn't specifically say if it's overclocking the sub cpu in addition to main. Your comment does remind me, though, that 0.119 MAME doesn't even have an easy way to overclock when playing offline. Cheats need to be used on older versions for that. About your problem, if you haven't checked that part of the game without overclocking, you could do that and see if it works.

I used the emulator MAME to play this. It's also for sale on Steam and GOG as part of the Double Dragon Trilogy, but that version could have some issues.
There is a version of MAME for PSP, but I have no idea how to use it. This game might not run at full speed on PSP anyways. I would recommend the regular PC version of MAME instead.
i often wonder how so many people that download these games are inept at them. the only thing you can learn from these play throughs is how not to play these old video games………. shameful.
I prefer to watch vids where people die a lot (but clearly have fun and do cool stuff as well), as opposed to the usual (for this game) where people just spam the elbow smash the whole time and never get hit. you can watch that once and then there's no point. ;) when you played these games as a kid you died a lot too, so this is more what you remember anyhow

The processor they used for Double Dragon were 8-bit processors, hence the reason why this game had a lot of slowdown.

A bunch of 8-bit arcade games looked more impressive than Double Dragon. I'd say bad programming made it slowdown a lot
@IgaKoga they wanted use the 16 bit chips but they were expensive at the time and they couldn't afford them.

He probably changed the cpu overclock to make it run faster. A lot of Technos games had this slowdown issue

@@Markboyy1984 The trick about the spears is to jump while passing between them, thus they miss you/can't hit you.
