Just that power is original, but the reasons for why he has it make it even more unique. Also, a lot of Brandon Sanderson's books have original stuff. The Mistborn world has an original magic system, Stormlight Archives does too i believe.

The reasons why he has it I don't know them but I'm sure they aren't something never seen before. I mean that rather depends on the specific tropes the narrative's going with. Not sure that was yet the standard paradigm back in the early Nineties...

Not necessarily. In the Resident Evil universe some characters have a natural immunity to zombies, as it is infection by the T-virus which causes the transformation, not just being bitten.

For Sealing evils, Banishing demons to just plains Holy paper missiles.
Pretty sure the most dangerous weapons in the heroes' arsenal are those obscene Eighties hairdos the guys are sporting. That mullet requires an open-carry permit.

There's a little trick with the golem boss: If you use a charged throw, its guarenteed to make his body collapse into a pile of rocks, revealling its crystal core, which you can strike for massive damage. This game has a ton of little tricks and moves. My favorite has to be the one where Jake's zombie slide (while holding an enemy: Down+Punch+Jump IIRC... been a while since I played this)
This game has upset me since I found it. Made in 93 (the time I would have been in arcades a ton), and I know I've never seen this Cab. It wasn't until about 15 years ago that I discovered it. Awesome beat em up. I wish sprite work could still exist like this. Arc does a pretty good job with their hand drawns for current times. Imagine if Arc made a true beat em up... Oooooooo!

Given the time that _Night Slashers_ was made, I always thought of the ghost chopper mini-boss battle as a not-too-subtle reference to the Gulf War, which happened two years prior to the release of the game. I'm probably overthinking, though.
