Ford E-350 4x4 Conversion Flatbed Van & Overland Trailer Build by Ujoint Off-road

- Based out of Fletcher, North Carolina, Ujoint Offroad is known for its four-wheel-drive conversion systems for the Ford E Series van platform. As you can image, Ujoint owner Chris Steuber has built some incredible vans over the years. Maybe his most radical build is one the doesn’t fit neatly into the common Van Life model. He calls it V4, and this 2002 Ford E-350 is a shinning example of just own versatile Ford’s classic van chassis is in the right hands.
Equally as interesting as the van is the trailer that Steuber calls the Sherpa. The all-aluminum expandable camping setup was originally intended to bolt directly to the flatbed on V4. As V4 evolved, Steuber decided to craft a trailer for it to rest on. Sitting on 35-inch-tall Toyo Open Country R/T tires, the leaf-sprung and Fox shock-damped trailer acts a community center when camping with family and friends. - Авто та транспорт

Damn son. I found my E450 7.3 shuttle on Craigslist for $2700. I've put like 10k into making it my own super sweet mobile apartment. 16psi is pretty good for a house. Now I just need 4x4. Wouldn't trade her for the world.

Now that's a awesome setup I wish I didn't break my neck and back cause I would be able to afford to have one built exactly like I want but I guess I will just keep gettin help with my s10 but I need to post more content on my channel of my builds if I can find all my vids
So I’ve been thinking about springs vs coil overs. On one hand, a van conversation needs the weight capacity from springs. But they are roughy in washboard roads causing me to air down and then back up to keep from rattling my rig to parts. So, would coil overs be a better set up for an overland Econoline that I plan to wheel as well?
Chris at Ujoint would be the best person to ask about this. I know most of his vans use leaf springs, so that alone is pretty telling.

no second (or third) row seating ? perhaps on V5 in the not too distant future.
He's currently working on a new version of this van. He does have a daily driver that has plenty of seating for his entire family.
could you do this with say an 85-89 ford E-350?
According to Ujoints website, all of their kits are designed for 92 and up.
Pick ups can't turn like the van either.
I think a 4x4 van is better.
