Join me as I stop by the Ford E-Series experts in Fletcher, North Carolina. Ujoint Offroad has been around since 2007 and is known worldwide for their four-wheel drive E-Series conversions. While they are probably best known for their 4th Generator E-Series van builds, they have an impressive collection of RV conversions as well. When I stopped by, they were just wrapping up Steve-O's newest po...

Looks great...But...No salt...IMO, WD-40 just won't cut it, in North-Eastern Canada/U.S.
I don't have much experience in that part of the U.S. Thankfully, this works well in the southeast where I live.
@@Ali_Mansour_Editor Lucky...If you take good care of your vehicle, it'll probably last forever...happy New Year!
This is why Austrailians have Diesel 4x4s Gas powered jeeps on big tires absolutely wreck full economy and the American consumer and producer dosent understand thst Diesel is the way to go.
The Diesel offerings in the United States are much different than what’s found overseas. Ours are choked with emission systems that make them incredibly unreliable. They cost more upfront, are more expensive to maintain, and the fuel is more expensive here. When you factor all that in, gas just makes more sense. Jeep also has a terrible track record when it comes to the V6 diesel.
Well, you better spray some inside the frame before it rusts in half, wranglers are known for that.
That was definitely an issue with the older Wrangler platform. I don’t think that’s an issue with the newer ones. Not that I’ve seen at least.
Doesn’t this cause the lubricants within certain joints/shocks to dry out prematurely?
Are you talking about the U joints? If so, those are greased fairly regularly as I go in the mud/off-road a lot. It’s like anything else, so long as you stay on top of your maintenance intervals. This is only going to help preserve the components. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years without issue.
Aah noted. Thanks for the information, will start using this method. ✌️👍🏻
Very nice video. I have a 23 base sport with Maxtow. Trying to figure out whether i want to keep it and go with 35s or 37s, or switch to a diesel gladiator before doing all those things. Just like diesel engines but the 3.6 is pretty reliable platform. The gen3 ecodiesel could be more of gamble i feel. Do you have any experiences with the ecodiesel in the gladiators?
I’ve had so many bad experiences with modern diesel emissions equipment that I won’t purchase one. Everyone that I personally know with one speaks highly of the fuel economy and power. I like the 3.6l and accept that I’m basically trading fuel economy for what I feel is better reliability.
@Ali_Mansour_Editor was your previous vehicle before the Gladiator a small displacement diesel? Peace of mind is definitely worth something isn't it?
no. My last two diesel’s were full size trucks. Ram and Chevy. I considered a diesel Colorado as I had a bit of seat time and friends with that platform. Ultimately, I decided the diesel wasn’t the right choice for me. I’ve had a lot of diesel trucks over the years. I never had an issue until the emissions equipment.
Do the jk 3.6 have cylinder deactivation??
I don’t believe the JK 3.6 ever got that feature.
Does this work in combating road salt as well?
I honestly don’t know as I don’t encounter much of that where I live.
Great video. Been watching your content for a couple of years. I currently have a 2022 Mojave on 35 inch ko2s with stock suspension. Debating on installing the aev 2 inch spacer lift. Will I need to get new track bars front and rear and lower control arms or will it still drive close to stock? Thanks in advance.
I would recommend getting a set of adjustable lower control arms, and at least an adjustable front track bar. The rear track bar probably won’t be an issue, but an adjustable one won’t hurt if it’s in your budget.
@Ali_Mansour_Editor I was thinking I would need those. You just helped confirm it. Thank you for the reply. Look forward to seeing more of your content.
i get 22-23 mpg on mine with 37s and 13.9 pulling my 4500 lb camper ✊. go diesel gladiator😎😎
Great video. I still run TJ/LJ for full builds because I love the simplicity. I could definitely stand daily driving a gladiator though. Gator green and the bronze wheels is a super nice combo. Good to know there are ways around the start/stop dual battery bowlsheeit too.
Love the color
I love the look of a slightly lifted Gladiator!
Love the Gladiator stuff. Thanks for making these videos. Best from Easley
I would love to own any of your rigs, but I never saw the point of both Gladiators being so similar. You should put the money towards a BRaptor and start filming!
Just after I got my F-150 Raptor R earlier this year, we bought a 24 Bronco Heritage Limited Edition. I looked at a Braptor at that time as well. I just don’t love it. My 392 feels nicer, faster, and looks better. My wife loves her Bronco, but I don’t see myself getting one to build any time soon.
@ when do we get RaptoR videos?😳😳😳
I put one together for Driving Line a little while ago. Not sure how many videos I’ll make on it. It’s mainly just a daily driver. ua-cam.com/video/l3slR8L5Kho/v-deo.htmlsi=EDr3NRXrv_GO2KT9
Gator green ❤😊
It’s one of the best colors for sure.
35s fit on stock wheels, with no rubbing? I’m looking at adding 35s to my 24 Willys, but want to keep my OEM wheels
On a Rubicon, you can run 35’s with no lift on stock wheels. I can’t remember if the Willys has the highline flares. You need those for the clearance.
@ yes, I know my 24 Willys comes with the high line fenders 😉
Now if the bed was part of the body like a four door wrangler and the gladiator was the suburban of the wrangler I’d go out and buy one tomorrow. Bucket seats in front of no center console bucket seats second row with opening in between and third row a memory foam bench seat that fold flat and swings towards the second row so it buts up tight then you have all this room for cargo And Evan have like a three foot actual bed like a truck so you can still have gas cans and other things like spare 40’s
That would be awesome. There a company called apocalypse 6 x 6 that actually builds a pass-through bulkhead like that where they put seats in the bed.
Your videos are always very helpful.
Lol I traded in a 2017 zr2 in on my 18 JL 2 door rubi. Then traded that on my sarge green 21 JLRU. Had both on 37s
What a great video and what a build… I’m sure he will be super happy with this JT! Some great advice and ideas, thanks!!
Great video. Do you know if the 2024/2025 Gladiator trucks still have the sway bar disconnect design issue you described in your video?
So far as I know, they have not redesigned the plug. I know it’s the same on my dad’s 2024 Wrangler.
@@Ali_Mansour_Editor So does the plug just come loose? Would it help to put dielectric grease on the connection?
I believe it’s just the plug design. It also may have something to do with heat and age. Speaking to techs at Jeep dealerships, they say it’s one of the most common things they see fail. They don’t actually fix them there. It’s just a remove and replace thing. I’ve never had an issue with it on any of my JL‘s, but it was a problem on my Gladiator on 40s.
oh shit iam on it😊
Try living in the mountainous West.
I lived in SoCal for five years. Very familiar with the challenges of the mountains out west.
Beautiful Gladiator. just right, not over done. I would say perfect.
Didn't expect that! The toy car garage himself lol!
Worlds are colliding, stevo and Ali.... wtf
Glad to see AVO is doing well, especially after Helene. They seem like great people there.
Yeah, it’s a great crew up there. They definitely said that things got pretty slow right after the hurricane. They seem to be back in their groove now.
You can’t have Asheville without Subaru’s. 😂
Absolutely love your work… and to even see 14 with how big your JT is is amazing. It is also quite impressive how just wind can dramatically decrease your mpg, especially on the highway… I’m stock currently but will be doing my lift on 37s in the spring and thanks to your advice!!🤙
I was expecting much worse, my 392 on 38s and 4.56 gears gets 12-12.5 MPG
Thats what my Rubicon Unlimited 4XE gets on 37" tires (nowhere to plug it in)
I need ti know where to get that bumper
Hit up dahcwheelz on instagram. That’s who built it. He’s the owner of Wheeler Industries in Colorado.
Try Michigan winters and salt
Jesus! Why would you daily drive that? For the money you obvisiously have why not buy a cheap car?
I don’t daily drive it. I have a few vehicles. Sadly, none of them are very fuel efficient. They’re all really fun though!
@@Ali_Mansour_Editor It's about the smiles per gallon 😜
Let's see you add the AluCab ModCap Family Camper!!!
I like that a lot, but I already have the ikamper. So, I ended up buying a contour canopy. That gives me the flexibility I need with this Jeep so I can remove everything and hit harder trails.
That EVO double throwdown+ cantilever is a kick ass set up.
One of my favorite suspensions for sure.
Lord!!! No 😂😂😂
It’s a real smiles per gallon machine. 😁
So not much worse than my 33” tires, oem stock rubi 4.10 axles with 90% tread. Struggling to beat 13mpg in town and 16mpg hwy. No better than my 2010 JKUR on 32”. (3.8L)
Even when this Jeep was stock, it only averaged around 15. All considering, it’s really not that bad.
I get about 20 MPG on 33's.
That’s impressive. I think the best I’ve ever seen out of either Gladiator I have owned was 17.5.
@@Ali_Mansour_Editor I think I may have missed part of the point. I have a Wrangler, not a gladiator. Make.more sense to me now.
Did this with my dirt bikes my whole life. And started doing it with my Jeeps now too. Usually before off-road trips.
Thanks for this post. Was very curious what the Golf Drive Sim & Steveo's Rig looked like on the inside.
So who made the rack????
It’s from AA Products. www.aaproductsinc.com/collections/truck-racks/products/aa-racks-model-apx25-lite-extendable-aluminum-truck-ladder-rack-adjustable-pick-up-ladder-rack-no-drilling-required-blackapx25-lite
My whole latch snapped the other day. New one in order ? Any videos on how to put the new one on ?
@@bulletpretzels1198 I have not seen that happen before. Unfortunately, I do not have a video of that repair.
@ ok thx . Yeah it was weird . I felt tension like it wasn’t seeding well, but I didn’t think anything of it , and I just applied some grip strength to clip it fully closed and it cracked right in half .
Absolutely LOvE your content and what you bring to the table!!
If a Ridgeline is a cruck, does that make this a vuck?!
Maybe so. 😂
What was the <SNAP>?
I honestly don’t remember. He had that thing with a lot of stuff in the bed boxes. Probably something sliding around or it could’ve just been a coilover unloading. Nothing broke.
Interesting…. Flat bed van! Cool!!
Looks great. Putting 1 tons beadlocks and 40s on my jku in January
How did that make it through those trails?
We weren’t in Uwharrie. I was still in Asheville when I met up with him.
@@Ali_Mansour_Editorlooked like outpost
Glad I’m not the only one who ditched the rear sway bat
That does look cool as hell but it’s not a Raptor if it doesn’t have the stickers!!
It definitely changes the look.
That’s awesome, 👏
