I'm of the opinion that, of all his projects, James is at his absolute best with Billy. Nothing against anyone else. I just think that when it comes to what we think of as....well, rock n roll, ....I guess, the traditional duo, Plant - Page, Daltrey- Townshend, Tyler- Perry, Axl- Slash, Bono- Edge, Ann- Nancy, Buckingham- Nicks, Petty- Campbell, just to name a random few... Anyway, it works. CAD, findinghis feet. Tool, becoming a unit. ( not unlike Army training, Sir. ) A Perfect Circle, exactly that. Puscifer, the joining of the masculine and feminine. That's my take.
They said that they have been working on one. The music is finished and they only need to add lyrics. Hopefully a next year release, but probably not until later.

I hope for a new one but all the guys have been busy doing other things and Maynard seems a little too preoccupied with his other projects. If I was a betting man I’d say we’ve been given all Tool has to give. I hope I’m wrong
Tool has been in an ongoing legal battle with their label. All members have talked about it. There is indeed new music in the works according to Maynard himself.
I really don't understand how Maynard expected years of gangstalking, being thrown in psych wards, persecution, and having your children constantly kidnapped while they use energy weapons to mind control and kill you, is going to effect a once tender hearted humble person. No you have to fight the bitterness and eventually you gotta show people your kindness isn't weakness and take em all on. Had nothing to do with pride. Had everything to do with survival. I think you were looking for an once of tenderness not humility. I always remained humble.
Actually, he posted from either Caduceus or Puscifer that music was moving forward on all fronts. He tagged APC and Tool2015 in the post. This was around July.

This version is better, the one in the new album has some odd voice effects at the begining.
Exactly! Also the vocals are too loud in the newer version. But the drums at 4:05 are weird in this one.
