- Wildlife photography in Florida has always been a bucket list item for me and in this video, I get the chance to travel to this beautiful state to photograph American Alligators, Birds and so much other amazing wildlife. Follow along this week as my wife and I explore many of Florida's amazing ecosystems and document the wildlife we find along the way. Everything from snorkeling off stunning beaches and kayaking through mangroves and cypress stands, this place has such a variety of beautiful habitats and animals.
This place is completely different from what I'm used to, but I had so much fun exploring and photographing birds and so much amazing wildlife. I had so much fun, that I'm already planning a return trip during peak wildlife season to see what other animals I can find and photograph. Thanks so much for following along, I hope you enjoy this week's video!

Miss you too, hope you're doing well!
Great job! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks so watching, greatly appreciated!
Very nice video Jimmy, I enjoyed watching. Looks like you were on the Dry Tortugas. Fantastic place 😊
Thank you! Yes, such a beautiful area, I can't wait to get back soon-ish 😁
Interesting!
THANKS!
Nice. Guessing you stood somewhere near the Everglades . If you like snorkeling, take a little resort into to diving class. Usually includes a dive or two down to about 25'-40' = cool stuff. Nice vid. Liked the bloopers too!
Thanks so much, I'll definitely do a diving class at some point, just a matter of when 😁 Yeah, we spent time around the Everglades, not a ton though so I can't wait to get back!
What a great time, even without the mountains. Filming under water is hard, right!
Yeah, it sure was a lot of fun! That was my first attempt at filming under water, as you can see in the video, there is much room for improvement 😆
My tip (I haven't been to Florida) would be to check out Moose Henderson's book "50 Florida Wildlife Hotspots". Fun video!
Thank you! I'll give it a look 😁
You got some good footage. Nice sharing of our Florida wildlife. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks a bunch! Such a fun but quick trip, I absolutely can't wait to get back out there! Thanks for watching 😊
Another excellent and fun video, nice that you and your wife got away on a vacation and even better that you were able to fit in some photography. I will look forward to your next Florida trip that focuses on wildlife photography. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Keith! It sure was nice to escape together for a few days, I wish we were still there 😆 I'm already counting down the time until I can make it back. Thanks again, good luck in your adventures this week!
I enjoy all your videos, no matter where you are or what you are showing us. Your calm demeanor, music choice and knowledge of the subjects you photograph is a pleasure to watch. I have told you before that I watch several wildlife photography vlogs, and you are by far my favorite. I have been to Florida several times on wildlife and birding trips. There are so many places to see and explore and you won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much, that makes me so happy and is very motivating to hear 😊 you are too kind! I can't wait to get back, such a beautiful place! Thanks again for the support and kind words, have a wonderful week!
Another great video Jimmy, my second trip to the US in 2000 was Florida did the tourist stuff, theme parks, Everglades and the Keys, and although I had a brilliant time after seeing what else the US offers I swore I would never go back, but after watching many UA-cam videos and seeing the wildlife especially birds, Florida offers maybe I will come back, and concentrate more on the non built up areas.
Thanks Tony! I had a great time, but will definitely be skipping the more populated areas next time. I was surprised at the amount of wildlife I saw, especially given that this is the slow time. I can't wait to get back and away from the crowds, I hope you decide to do the same! 😁
Looks like you had a great time on your vacation, Jimmy. Can’t get much better than that. I’ve only been to Florida once, a long time ago. Looking forward to your next adventure. Snakes! You never mentioned snakes. Thanks for sharing. Take care now.👍👍
Thanks a bunch Terry, it sure is a great place! Ya know, I didn't see a single snake while I was there. I'm sure I walked by quite a few and didn't even realize they were there 😬
Thanks for posting, I really enjoy your videos!
I'm glad to hear it! I really appreciate you looking!

You chose right place for vacationing. Florida is beautiful and full of wildlife. Thanks for sharing the beauty of Florida. I like your vlogging style of this video. I hope you continue with this relaxed blogging style on your future videos. Beautifully done video, I totally enjoyed watching it. Ha-ha, the cuts were funny haha. 🤣👍
Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! It makes me happy to hear that you like the style of these videos, I sure enjoy putting them together, thanks again for the kind words! Oh, and I'm glad you liked those cuts 😆😆
Glad you both had a great time in Florida. It’s been many years since I’ve been there but agree there is an incredible amount of biodiversity you won’t find in the Rockies. If you have the opportunity, you might want to check out the Florida Keys next time. Good snorkeling. Beautiful aqua water and a fewer people than other areas. A unique experience is the Dry Tortugas but you are limited to short periods of time there or required to camp until the ferry from Key West returns. As always, really enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much for the info! We briefly had the opportunity to visit one of the keys and Dry Tortuga's and it was so much fun! We tried to cram so much into such a short period of time, I'd love to go back for a longer stay during another time of year. Thanks again for the info and support, I always appreciate the kind words 😊
Thanks for this, how good is it that you can take a vacation and still manage some wildlife adventures too.
That's the best kind of vacation there is I guess 😁 Thanks for watching!
