When they're describing Maggie's wounds in detail with autopsy pictures and physical descriptions of the parts of her body ripped into by an assault rifle at close range, and the camera cuts to Buster, blank-eyed, snacking on sunflower seeds. And the fact that NOBODY was willing to give a victim impact statement for Maggie (not even her sister) or Paul; there's something really wrong in this family.

Alex has them all fooled that’s why. He’s a master manipulator. Even when all the evidence is stacked against him there are still people that think he didn’t do it, including his and Maggie’s families. Really crazy when you think about it

@@dandychiggins9028 Think about your own family: we all have a few liars and cheats tucked in there somewhere, but we know it. And if you look at the Murdaughs through the generations you can see lying and cheating is part of the culture. The women who marry in know it too, but they all toe the party line. Just like Paul's friends on the boat knew he was an alcoholic abusive jerk, but his place was like a play ground and everybody in the circle shared in the rewards in one way or another. Remember that Maggie texted her friend, "He's up to something." Who says that about someone they love and trust? And her sister regretted encouraging her to go to Moselle. They all knew danger lurked around the corner and AM wasn't to be trusted.

What if the second shooter was a buster?

If I only had the money to hire this expert witness to examine my son and all of the evidence when he was killed 3 years ago perhaps I would know the truth of what happened to him when he died 3 days before his 54th birthday in Sherman, Texas….a city who has, obviously, little to no money to spend on investigating these kinds of things. The only person that was investigated was the woman to whom he had been married for 20 months at the time he died. My son was a Certified Public Accountant and owned his own accounting firm. Collin County would no even perform an autopsy on my son because they said he died in a hospital even though when the police and EMTs arrived, he had sustained a wound from a .45 caliber hollow point bullet in his head…and if you think that was not almost impossible for me to “type”, you are not a parent….he was transported to the local hospital’s ER and was there until he was intubated, put on a respirator in the ICU where was kept alive for approximately 24 hours. There were text messages found on my son’s phone from his “wife” where in July she threatened to “blow your brains out”…6 weeks later that seems to me exactly what happened…and, as I said, because his heart stopped beating in the hospital, they wanted $2,000 to perform an autopsy. I have not even heard from the “detective” in about 2 years…2 years! If I had MONEY I might know what actually happened to my sweet, smart, caring oldest son. Money might not buy happiness but it sure can help you pay doctors, attorneys, and investigators to find out what happened to your child when they die way before their time because NOBODY is going to help you for free because no one else loves your child like you do.

It's just that as a mathematical physicist, I had the pleasure of learning from and interacting with many true geniuses; some of whom were Nobel Laureates in chemistry and physics. It's disappointing that fewer and fewer talented students pursue mathematics, physics and other sciences. One final note: there is no Nobel Prize in Mathematics due to indiscretions by Nobel's wife and an unknown, amorous mathematician 😁. The highest award in mathematics is the Fields Medal, which is awarded every four years to the mathematician(s) who have obtained groundbreaking and often amazing results. I suppose that I am a bit miffed that studying CSI tends to have a romantic and exotic appeal that attracts a number of mathematically talented students. As a proselytizer of math & physics, this and a number of other (exotic) areas of study leave a dearth of American sons/ daughters who become dedicated scientists/ mathematicians.

Does anyone else find it very disturbing/weird or even odd that as The Dr’s describing the details/reenactments of how both victims were shot, body placements and the horrific photographs / images of the crime scene / post mortem images as well as his expertise/own versions , etc..? How both AM and his living Son sitting in the courtroom were chewing gum during his entire testimony? As well as not a single tear drop shed , from what I’ve noticed. A particular female sitting back behind AM on the defense side who throughout the trial was smiling, laughing, odd behavior and mannerisms that not anyone else were exhibiting. I’ve even zoomed in and replayed it several times to see on it all. Even slow mode and pausing. Son looking forward at the re enactments/expert/photographs the entire time all the while chewing his gum. Only AM looked down, away a few times. That was the wife of AM’s children, son as well as the mother and brother ( full details) who didn’t die immediately and brutally murdered! First time I’ve seen a child able to, let alone want to stay in the courtroom during the entire trial. Especially when they are called as a witness in a double murder. This case is beyond sad, shocking, disturbing to me. My thoughts are with the family / friends / community/LEO’s /crime scene experts on/off scene of the victims who truly cared and loved them, wanting to see Justice prevail for them! This is all my personal opinions on all above. J/S

agreed but one caveat; ALL experts have work peer reviewed. This really means nothing, as anyone can have work "reviewed" but the question is, what those reviews find. This is something people say but it merely means, people looked at his work. Now if they use it and cite it in OTHER works, then maybe it's worth noting. People need to be careful trusting either side in a courtroom when they choose their experts. Some experts are not that expert like this guy. IMO he felt he had good reason. Maggie was straying off the Mertaugh reservation, she was asking questions about where their money was, she was demanding he quit his opioids, and she has consulted a attorney (from out of town) about a divorce. Paul was just a problem all around. IMO he was a alcoholic. He was still functioning fairly well until he reached a certain point, at which time his whole personality changed. He became a mean drunk, Timmy, as his friends called him. He was in trouble legally and was probably facing some jail time. In addition, Paul’s behavior was getting Alex audited financially. His kingdom was falling down. To him, that probably looked like a pretty good reason to eliminate both of them. I don’t feel Alex meets the criteria of a family annihilator, except for the financial pressure. According to his friends and family , he seemed normal. IMO he shows signs of grief while the murders are being described. Plus, in the weeks following the deaths but before September 3, he seemed to show signs of a breakdown. Hie still had supreme confidence in his ability to get away with anything, but after he lost his law license his confidence may have slipped a bit. If he is a narcissistic sociopath he saw Maggie and Paul as extensions of himself. If they stopped being useful, they had to go.

I truly hope they follow up on Steven Smith case that young man death deserves to be brought to the light, and I also believe with the investigation that Buster is behind this murder.

If you followed closely Dr.Kinsey testimony, Paul walked towards the door after the first shot was fired at him. That tells us that he was not afraid of going in the directon where the first shot came from, knowing well the shot came from the direction of the door. In my opinion (as if anybody cares :)) couple of things that can be derived, from his action after the first shot: 1. He did not see the shooter at the door, as his posture inside the feed room is that, his right side (not his chest/abdomen area) was in the direction of the door. This indicates he was not paying attention to the door, and may have been busy looking at stuff in the direction of the side wall. 2. If he had seen the shooter, he would have panicked and been in shock, and avoided moving in the direction of danger. He would have taken cover within the clutter, inside the feed room. But, he moved towards the door. This gives a hint that, he did not see the shooter OR the shooter was someone he was familiar with(!?), that made him comfortable to move in the direction of the first shot, as he didn't think it was a danger. There is no way somebody would go towards the direction of danger, rather than immediately take cover in the opposite direction of danger. I would only assume, either he did not notice the shooter at the door, as he was facing the wall inside the room, and walked towards the door to find out who/what happened (of course in pain and shock) to take help. Or, he was familiar with the shooter, and did not suspect he will be shot again, and walked towards the shooter to take help. Last thing one would do is, go towards the direction of danger/shooter, unless they didn't see anybody in that direction or they were familiar with the shooter.

I'm curious on the shooting myself. I think Paul just did not notice the killer was there and was blindsided by the first shot, through the pain and shock his mind was basically on auto pilot of get me away from this room where the pain occurred. I genuinely don't think in his state he looked up to try and recognize anyone. What gets me the most is if he stumbled towards the doorway slow enough for the drops of blood to fall directly down, so not a run or falling out of the door, how does Alex have time to wait for him to get to the door, shoot again, then change weapons to shoot his wife. I guess I would assume maggie was close by to see the first shot happen then by the time the second shot happened she would probably be running away; however, their bodies were rather close to each other. Could there have been a second shooter? Did Alex have help? Someone to dispose of the evidence as he ran to his mother's house to give him a shot at an alibi?

@@dylana4717 Here's what may have happened. Remember, Alex was with them at 8.44 pm (thanks to the Kennel video that has never been denied by Alex or the Defese team). He would have shot Maggie first, while Paul was inside the feed room. Paul would not suspect anyway, as they always shoot hogs/turkey and other animals in that property. He must have thought it is his dad shooting one of those animals. Then, Alex came to Paul and Paul was not paying attention to the door. Alex shot Paul, moved to the side of the entrance and waited till Paul exited, and shot him again at the entrance. Even if Paul saw his Dad shoot the first shot at him, he would have been comfortable going in the direction of the door/dad, as he would have thought it was a mistake and didn't expect to be shot again. Or, if he didn't see Alex, he didn't expect anybody to shoot him again at the door, but, Alex was waiting on the side of the entrance, to shoot again.

@@rajaismail8490 I only have doubts on that timeline due to the two expert witnesses stating Maggie was shot in the leg and then the waste, so we would have to presume she made zero sound, no screaming, before falling to her hands and knees to be shot again, and then once more after she was presumed dead. I also can't help but wonder if the highly execution style of these killings hold importance. Maggie was presumed dead already as the third shot entered her brain, yet the kill shot the back of her head as she was on the ground. Paul getting his head practically blown off seems very gruesome as well. I wonder if it could imply paid hitman to guarantee death or someone that had been emotionally charged to want them dead. But returning to the topic I think Paul was killed first while maggie was perhaps letting dogs out on a last walk of the day, she heard shots and went to see what happened when the killer shot her. The only reason I suspect this is Maggie had particular way she ordered the dogs in each kennel and they were not in that order when the police showed up. So someone other than maggie returned the dogs.

@@dylana4717 The reason I think Maggie was shot first, is because, as a Mother if she saw or heard a gunshot where her son is, she would be screaming and running towards her son, no matter what extreme danger may confront her, trust me, a mother instinct to save her kid is unparallel to any courage in the world. And, to u r point that Maggie would have walked the dog may not be correct, as the frist responders did not see any dog out, if I understood you correct.

This whole case is so unfathomable yet here it is in cold hard facts. I'm a mama and I cannot imagine the pain that woman experienced in her last moments watching her youngest son have his head blown off by the man she gave her life to... I have no evidence to back this up but I think that she was walking away from the kennels when she hears the shotgun blast so she spins around in enough time to see the shot to Paul's head which I'm guessing triggered her to run towards her injured child at which point she was mowed down. Just heartless.
