- This is my first sprite animation ever!
I made this because I love One Minute Melee, and honestly they are the ones that inspired me to become an animator in the first place

Steven would definitely win, but not that easily. He would need to go pink form. But to be fair, this was two years ago. Steven in pink form would slap.

@@HakrTheAnimator Ikr? They literally showed that Steven has avoided lasers without using his super speed or using any of his powers. Yet they literally made him die from one. They literally contradicted themselves. Although she does have a planetary blast, she refuses to use the spell in combat, which is why she lost multiple times even in her butterfly form. She had the potential to become universal, but she never learned the one spell that can make her that powerful. And the book that had the spell was destroyed. They gave her spells she doesn't know and she refuses to use in battle, even in life or death situations. They didn't make Steven go all out at all or use his full potential. They literally said that Steven is at garnets level of strength, and garnet has split an entire mountain just by punching it once. A few punches from Steven would have taken down star. This is almost as bad as their Ben 10 vs Green Lantern death battle.
@@bruhmoment6014It isn’t. Not only can star still use the planetary blast, death battle removes the limitation her not wanting to do so. Take aang for example, he killed Edward despite being a pacifist. Only thing Steven had was his strength and star could just turn him into a chibified version of himself without his any of his abilities. The death battle was correct.
This one is more accurate than death battles. Because Steven actually uses his strength advantage to overpower her greatest feat of durability and even then in proper Steven universe fashion doesn't kill her so that's basically how the battle would actually end, and this is young Steven which means that she would have no chance against teen Steven.

From what I understand on where they scaled (and this was before DB did this fight), Steven (in monster form) is Multi-Continent level whit Star (in butterfly form) can scale above characters who can scale to Universal+... I even seen some as crazy as putting her at Multiversal+
I myself haven't really seen much of either but it really was going to be about as one sided as Mickey vs Yoda from what I understood from where they scale.

Depending on what you buy for them, either Steven or Star could realistically be argued to stomp the other, there’s no interpretations of their stats that leads to a “close fight,” it’s only “one of them gets stomped,” which is normally fine since matches like these are typically done more for the connections between the characters than for a close fight, but the connections for Steven and Star are very lackluster, with the only thing really supporting it being that it’s a legacy match that’s been around for a while, which means the fact that it’s also a horrendous stomp makes it even worse (I could understand forgoing even halfway decent connections for a close fight, but if you’re doing that for a match that’s also a massive stomp, than there’s really no point)

would be strong
Not to mention, now that he mastered nearly all of diamond powers, he’s now stronger than he’s stronger than his monster self
Steven has resisted going MFTL in the Ruby Starship, which was going at a speed with enough pressure to “poof” all of the gems (even Garnet, who had tanked island level explosions). This means that Steven is roughly more durable than Garnet. On top of all of this, he had the power to resist the speed of the ship, pushing forward against it to change the controls. In the end, he survives the impact against the chair without a scratch. This shows that Steven can resist anything Star has.
Also, Star’s wand (while having POTENTIAL to destroy Universes) is not like the Infinity Gauntlet where anyone can pick it up and become godlike with its power. The wand requires skill, incantations, and dedication to unlock its true potential. Star knows none of these, however if someone with more knowledge of the wand’s power would wield it, that would be a different story.
Finally, Star’s reliance on energy-based attacks puts her at a disadvantage, since Steven’s shield has resisted an island-destroying blast. His near indestructible bubble could resist anything Star’s butterfly form could throw at him. Steven can survive the vaccum of space, and if we were scaling Steven to Rose Quartz, who had stopped a speeding, malfunctioning Ferris wheel with her hands like it was nothing. Both characters are powerful, but this Star won’t twinkle after messing with Steven. He’ll squash this Butterfly.

EDIT: If “Attack The Light” and “Save The Light” are both canon, then Steven and the Gems’ reaction speeds would both probably be FTL as well.

I like how u analysis the characters' strength and stamina. If u watch Change your mind, it would be surprise for u to see Steven's actual power (his mother's real power) are more capable than what we think. Steven (or P Steven) actual shield doesn't have the rose decorations but he can make a crystalize see-through shield, it's stamina is so strong that it can even block White Diamond's stone-hypnotised power. Not to mention that when P. Steven shout "she's GONE", the numb expression takes all of the strength out to break the floor around where he's standing. Well, Steven and P. Steven fuse back together now and....i hope Origin can make a part 2 (maybe longer because that's just the opening of Steven's true power)
About the sources of their power, Steven is simple to know. His shield is like a glass-like with the stamina of titanic barrier hold dangerous explosion back without making a scratch. Likewise, the Butterfly wand have the ability to shapeshifted the quality on the outside look to match the owner, Star's wand is made of lavender gems due to its matched form of the owner (the gems is also change shapes and types, sometime it's not even a gem). Like u said, Star wands have the potential to destroy the Universes if not use carefully but the Wand can be destroy easily too
Weakness:
Steven's shield (bubble shield): can break if his mental strength is not strong enough
Rose shield (or Crystal shield): whispering spells or simple enough, take the main power charge out

Wiz: even thought Star was far more powerful in magic when compared to Steven & would have surly won the battle if it was just a magic dual. It came down to Steven’s fighting ability that he learned from his fellow Gem’s that overall won the day were as Star possessed very little training in true combat.

Wiz: Although star has more versatile abilities, non of them can get around Steven's shields, bubbles, and barriers. Steven has doged lasers so he can doge her spells, he goes so fast that time slows down to him

@@pat3ntedthe2nd73 I'm glad someone finally debunked the whole "Star is universal" BS. So now that's out of the way. Steven would easily be able to avoid Star's planet laser spell, considering he has easily avoided lasers without using his powers as a kid, and especially now with his super speed, which allows him to go so fast that time appears to be slowed down to Steven. But that's if Star would use that spell in the first place. Even star fans have pointed out that Star only uses that spell as a giant laser pointer for giant cats and has never and will never use it leathally. And given Steven's massive speed and strength advantages, he is more than capable of blitzing her. He won't one shot her, but he would continue to blitz and punch her, and she would be severely damaged or knocked unconscious. Steven's punches have damaged freaking jasper. And the only reason why she was able to resists SOME hits is because she is insanely physically strong. Star's physically strength is nowhere near Jasper's, so she would definitely getting her ass beaten. If you consider Steven's strength, durability, speed, and shields, star's spells aren't much if a problem for Steven, especially the projectile spells. At any point Steven can blitz star into a spike wall, or immobilize her and crush her, or if in character knock her unconscious.
@@bruhmoment6014 To be honest I doubt that laser even CAN destroy planets. At the very least, Star phrases it as though it has to be used in a specific way, which she doesn't seem to know. But yeah she'd never hit him with it to begin with.

Here's what I can get for these two.
Strength - star hasn't shown many feats for this, other than being able to throw around monsters, but I think Steven definitely has this one in the bag, since Steven has being able to easily lift stone rubble off of him, and throw an obsidian statue.
Speed - I couldn't get much for this, but I can see star having the advantage with her butterfly form.
Durability - Steven DEFINITLY has this one, as he was able to survive a fight with amethyst, and take an obsidian statue being thrown at him, and that's just him without the shield, both his shield and bubble were capable of reflecting and taking lasers as strong if not even stronger than stars spells. While for star, I can't find anything for her, other than surviving getting slammed into walls.
Conclusion - Star could be faster, but Steven has shown to be stronger and much more durable, and yes, you can argue that she can beat him by stopping time or using her strongest spell, but... I think it's implied she can't stop time anymore, and her strongest spell Is a suicide move. So yeah, Steven wins in my opinion, go ahead and correct me if you want.
Totally agreed dude. Not to mention when Steven used the Ruby’s ship, and disabled the artificial gravity engine WHILE going light speed. He slammed into the seat instantly. Saying he’s at least 100 pounds, Steven slammed into the seat at around 150,000 tons of force.. that’s kinda crazy 😂 THEN with that force on him, he climbed back up to the controls. That sets his durability and strength right there lol

Pls dude , your opinion is completely false. Speed? She can travelling around a whole galaxy with the speed of light. Strength? She can turn to a huge rainbow warrior with super strength and super tanky. About durability , as i said , she is super tanky , she can also suffer the lava , walk normally in the deepest of the ocean. Here is my conclusion..... Steven is tanky, indeed. Star's strongest spell is suicide move, indeed. But that strongest spell can destroy a whole planet . Mega explosive crystal laser(google it) . Btw that is only the best spell of destroying. She can cast some spell with many of effects. She can summon a small black hole (star came to earth& bonbon the birthday clown). She can also use dagger heart attacks on steven that can blind and bleed him. Imagine a milion pieces of paper slash on their entire body. Btw there are 1 spell has both destroying and effects. That harmless video mentioned it , but the video's creator has misunderstood it. It performs a full power of the star (like a sun) , it also has 2 effect : rooted & trait disable. Not some spell that spit alot of energy ok? U think steven can survive after 1 spell like that ?? Trait disable the gem , rooted him and he will must to face the full power of the star. (Like thor used to suffer) . Those are just some famous spells of alot of powerful spells left. Do not think that u are a fan of steven so that u can insult and nerf her power. I still dont get it, why cant u relise that simple fact? Star is better than steven in all side. @@shaneallison8111 he went on a ship that can bend freaking reality and he survived that makes him being able to tank on anything stars wand could do even in butterfly form. And I know how strong Stars wand is.

This is So Cool. The Animation and Music really Reminds Me of One Minute Melee. And I like the Mix between Sprite Animation and Animated Parts like at 0:15 and 1:47. And I'm really Happy that Steven Won, That Huge Laser from Stars Powered up Form, and Stevens Bubble Cracking had Me Worried, so it was Very Intense

Exactly. He moves so fast that time appears to be slowing down. And his strength and durability is doubled or probably tripled. Not to mention he can summon diamond shields that can destroy boulders and he can make an entire wall out of it with spikes. He can punch her into a spike wall at any point. Or he would continue to block and beat the crap outta her until she inevitably makes her magic essence into a blast, which Steven would block and then star would be defenseless, and she would die. I highly doubt she would be able to pull Steven through a portal since he's physically much stronger than her, he can control his own gravity, he can avoid it all together by speeding up, and he can block off the portal by summoning a diamond shields or wall or barrier. If death battle does this correctly, they would give star spells that she only knows and uses in battle and ultimately make Steven win. If they give her spells she doesn't know and doesn't use then she would most likely win. If star wins, I hope this amazing chanel makes an alternative ending making Steven win.

I like this SO much more then the death battle. Steven vs Star was one of my least favorite episodes of the season and now I have something to imagine what it could have been. Thx!
Also she forgets to use her planet destroying attack because I swear to God she probably forgot that it was even an attack in the 1st place. She just uses it as a cat laser which means that when death battle made her use it that's not how it would go at all because in the final few episodes of her show for some reason she didn't use this awesome power which means why would she use it with Steven?
She never even used it when her life was at steak. Before the death battle came out, Star fans were pointing out that she only uses that Lazer as a distraction for cat's and she never used it in combat. But now since that's how she won, the star stans aren't saying anything. And she actually never learns the dimensional destroying spell. Even if she did use her planet laser in combat, Steven can easily avoid it since Steven has avoided multiple lasers at once without using his powers and it takes her a while to cast the spell in the first place. They didn't even have Steven go all out like he was when fighting jasper. If he fought star like he did when fighting jasper without holding back, Steven would have definitely won the death battle. Steven can kill her in multiple different ways.

@@bruhmoment6014 I never knew about the planet-busting laser spell she had but honestly its weaker than what she normally has. Toffee used magic to literally one shot Omnitraxus Prime, who is a physical manifestation of time-space. Later on when Star learned to control her magic and left the magic realm she went butterfly mode and nearly killed Toffee with a single blast, which rendered his regen abilities useless in the end.
@@hiichur25 I'm going to explain why I believe Star isn't universal and counter some of the arguments for it.
1: Star scales to Toffee, who scales to Omnitraxus Prime, who's a living universe.
This is the one that I see used for Star's universal feats the most and the one that makes me the most annoyed. First things first, Toffee's actual ability to take a hit has always been complete crap. How crappy? Crappy enough for Marco, a human teenager, to punch a hole right through his body. Toffee was able to go up against stronger threats like Meteora and Zedlord because his HEALING factor was his trump card in a lot of situation. Even Star's butterfly form blasting him wasn't quite enough to completely finish him off. Toffee's never actually hit Star with raw magic abilities before, only drained her own pool of magic. Which is something he specifically specializes in anyway. Which brings me to Omnitraxus. While it's debatable about his durability being Universal (I personally think it is.) it doesn't matter because Toffee never actually killed Omnitraxus. He sneak attacked him and then drained him of his magic. The initial attack wasn't enough to put down Omnitraxus, he would of just been restored after a bit via his own magic like when they gave it back to him later on in the show.
2: Star scales to Skywyne, who was able to destroy a dimension.
This one confuses me. Yes we know according to the book and the show itself that Skywyne was able to destroy a dimension after being under a huge amount of stress. But where did people get that Star scales to Skywyne? No one in the show has ever made a direct correlation between the two. The only time Star gets compared to anyone (and somewhat scales to) is Eclipsa. Baby (a character who evaluates all of the princesses magical abilities) stated that she had only seen someone as strong as Star since Eclipsa herself. And while Eclipsa is no pushover, she's never demonstrated the ability to bust down dimensions either. You want to know Eclipsa's strongest move through the show? She's mountain level at the height of the show. That's the most damage we've seen Eclipsa dish out. Even if Star scales to her, she's clearly not at her level yet. Why? Because this isn't the first time she's had to save Star's sorry ass from getting demolished.
Star, after using ALL of her magical essence to try and take down Meteora, was out of the fight. She blew up the castle doing this, yes, but it's the strongest attack potency we've ever seen Star dish out. Here it is for anyone who hasn't seen it: ua-cam.com/video/qvvdAtGcCro/v-deo.html
Not only was it NOT enough for her to take down Meteora, who was able to recover much faster than Star and was going to continue the fight, but Eclipsa herself comes in and makes short work of her. True Eclipsa wasn't dishing out any attacks of her own, but she was still able to handle most of her Eclipsa's blasts until the very last one. And Eclipsa did this without any true effort on her part, without being in Butterfly form. If Star was as strong as so many claim for her to be, then why wasn't she able to overpower Meteora's magic in strength? ESPECIALLY in her butterfly form? It's almost like she's not as strong as people make her out to be. While her potential is there, she never learned to get to that point and never displayed anything as crazy as the stuff Eclipsa or the other princesses have done.

It did and the results are different
The death battle is in accurate. They made star use her planet laser spell even though she never actually use the spell in battle. And they said that there is a spell that can destroy a Universe, which is true, but she never learned that power and the book was destroyed. An accurate death battle would be having star use the spells she actually uses in battle and obviously non of them can get around Steven's shields, and Steven is physically much stronger and much faster. Not to mention that he has more fighting experience and had been trained by the crystal gems, who are thousands of years old and has been fighting for thousands of years. Star can't overpower Steven's Diamond shields, barriers, and and bubbles, and Steven can punch her into a spike wall or trap her and sends giant spike wall to kill her, like he did to jasper.

Even though I disagree and think Star wins, the animation was epic and you did a much better job than Animation Rewind.

(Also to all ya'll saying Star would win, no offense but Star's strongest spell is a suicide spell and Steven has tanked an explosion of similar power WITHOUT his shields. So Star can't really damage Steven at all. I really like Star and all, but her only chance to win is her Butterfly form and she likely couldn't get to it before getting bodied.)

Ok....I can see how Steven was able to win the scuffle.
Remember that Steven is the son of Rose Quartz, so we are able to scale his shield's strength to hers.
With that is mind, durring the gem war, Rose was able to block the Diamond's attack that corrupted every other gem. Not good enough? Also recall Rose being Pink Diamond, and in the finale, she was able to fend off several of White's Lasers(coming out the eyes of possessed Blue and Yellow Diamond, Garet, Pearl and Amethyst; totaling 11 lasers.) With nothing but her bubble.
Star's abilities are impressive, but that's only if you consider that she uses her wand as a source of power. Lastly, There was no clear cut way Steven would loose given Rose's track record; he may not like it, but he has her strength.
Sonic's Hammer The only problem with star is she wasn't shown a lot in the series. She has many potentially dangerous spells that she never used again. A good example is her "Cataclysmic Extinction Death Ray Attack". She was just about to use it until stopped by marco. another example is "Dip Down". Its never really shown what it can fully do. but all it said is it can be used when in danger and without her wand. but now she is shown that she no longer needs her wand to use magic, and makes her more efficient in close quarters combat. as one of her spells can now be used to improve her physical attack. and about that blast at the end of the battle, It was shown in the episode that she damaged enough an immortal being into close death. but that immortal guy is now dead too. It could've been better that if it was a longer show and without that shitty finale. but at least she gets to show her greatest feat in terms of strength. which is lifting back a sword against a mecha that is larger than a mountain. not to mention that the mecha is slashing the sword towards her. but Its obvious that steven is in advantage here in speed and durability. but I dont know which one is in advantage in terms of other stats.

Yes but only when he didn't have much control over his powers. That and from jasper, but then Steven stacked his shields so not even Jasper can shatter it.

Star has the power to destroy dimensions and even universes need be. If we’re being honest star could probably take out white diamond. Nobody realizes what she does. She uses random attacks to fool her opponents, when they are using weaker attacks she uses strategy, then she pulls out her butterfly form as a last resort. She can pause time and then blast Steven to oblivion. And if they did defeat her the gems have a angry magical kingdom at there backs with dark spells and the magical high commission.

Indeed. It's called Jellybean Hallucination, or something along those lines. It was extremely effective against Ludo's thugs, but it looks like Steven had the mental fortitude to break through.
She used her jellybean hallucination mist of course he could have easily got it to hit her but he didn’t understand it at the time still doesn’t change the fact that any Star who opposes the Universe himself will get shattered

But when it comes to the fight I don’t agree with the outcome at all in terms of fighting and abilities Star majorly out classes Steven. Steven is mainly defensive based and just wouldn’t be able to keep up with Stars magic and especially not her Mewberty form if we were to use Pink Steven then this would be an actual battle though we’d still need to see more from him to decide

And also if Steven doesn't want to fight doesn't mean he bad at it. He can easily defend himself from her spells, you know his bubble was holding a cluster, a giant monster which can destroy earth from inside, but it didn't.
And even if we don't take a cluster, we can scale him to first rose quartz (or pink diamond), which saved earth from destructive lazer, second to the other gems like amethyst, spinel, bismuth and jasper which also a strong and durable opponents.
And to time stop, star must do it for so long, so Steven can hurt her 2 or 3 times.
