After too. I don't know why people think that Steven is a bad person now. He pretty much spent his whole childhood helping everyone around him with their issues, but had no one who could help him with his. His unresolved issues manifested in a really unhealthy way, and yet I never see anyone talk about what Steven was feeling. Only about what he was making others feel. It almost feels like people only cared about Steven because he was a cute and funny kid, and weren't concerned about him deeper than that. Like he was a pet or something.
I mean considering Death Battle themselves said that Steven is way stronger and faster physically, if Steven was the type to blitz his enemies, he could have instantly one shot her once he entered his Pink State. He tends to fight more defensively though, so I see why he lost. But also, let’s not pretend like he couldn’t dodge that slowly moving laser, especially after slowing down time to block the previous one
@@Phasmania That's the problem, it's their own fighting styles, even though they're both nice people, Steven would refused to fight while Star has been fighting since she was able to walk. Not to mention their powers, Steven's powers are mostly for defense but Star's powers are for destruction. Steven can't really do much against Star, the only benefit Steven had was his Pink State where his Diamond destructive powers are unlock and it's been implied they're planet level, but keep in mind Steven wouldn't use them as he prefers to talk things out rather than fight. Also Steven hasn't even mastered them since he's weaker than Pink.

Such as using her planet level spells. I swear if Star was ever asked if she would save one person or five people from being ran over by a train, Star would have destroyed the train so she wouldn't have to decide, only to kill hundreds of people who were in the train in the process
It would be cool if they watched Star vs the forces of evil in their free time, it would make sense that Steven got stressed out since Star stressed out Marco in the first episode of the first season of her show.

I’ve seen Star use her lasers to kill everyone in Death Battle once. She vaporised all characters because her powers are literally universal to multiverse level since she can destroy dimensions.
I am not the typical Steven Universe fan, but my God is the music and comedy so good on that show, along with a lot of heart. I'm not sure if I like the most recent seasons, but the first few were great.
Link vs Cloud, it's a rematch from the older one which was several years ago and it wasn't exactly... Good, so this being the rematch there will be more stuff to discuss between the two of them and will probably give a more fairer and properly explained outcome in the end

I have the Svtfoe book of spells and wish I have read the whole thing so I could had known about that whole "Universe destroying" power, since the tv series never once used that much power, which begs the question of why Star didn't used that to defeat Mina as oppose to the whole Magic Genocide she did! Yeah the svtfoe writers really messed up the finale.

This is wrong, this battle should have ended in a draw. For one. Neither of these characters are killers or like to kill. Where's the peace ending! Like they did for pinky pie and deadpool.
Those characters are specifically gags though. These two aren't, and fall under the "objections to killing are removed" rule. Otherwise they would never have Batman but he's been here FOUR TIMES.
I have watched BOTH and to be fair... Star (from Star Versus the Forces Of Evil) would, in all Honesty, Destroy Steven (from Steven Universe) IF SHE WANTED TO. but in reality she never would kill anybody, unless they are pure evil and relentless. like This one dude Toffe who wouldn't stop until all magic were destroyed

I was looking forward to Link vs. Cloud, it's a really old battle they did a long time ago that was one of their most hated on fights because of how they portrayed both characters and decided their abilities, the biggest one was making Link a combination of ALL of the games and giving him EVERY item and ability from them even though they are all different people technically lol. So when I saw they were finally doing a rematch, I was pretty hyped. But with the Link preview they gave...they're doing the same thing, so now idk why they are even bothering doing it again, kinda a bummer

i didn't watch either of these shows, but I knew enough about them to know that the moment I saw Star Butterfly the fight was over. From what I understand, she's one of those broken ass characters who are always as strong as the plot needs them to be, with her abilities being only limited by her imagination since she can make up her own spells as she likes without real limitation. You need a reality warper to beat someone like that, and even that's not even possible half the time. So yea, Steven turned out to only be a D or C-tier OP character while Star was a B-tier OP character possibly going up to S-tier if she was smarter. There was no way Steven was gonna win. For reference, F tier OP: strong as hell, like Levi from Attack on Titan. D tier OP: capable of destroying planets with ease, like DBZ Frieza. C tier OP: capable of wiping out galaxies with ease, like original movie Broly B tier OP: strong enough to beat anything so like as the plot calls for it, like Superman or Saitama from One Punch Man A tier OP: capable of beating literally anything so long as the plot calls for it, like Haruhi Suzumiya. Powers must at least be reality warping from here on, including Doraemon's multidimensional multichronological technology, Simone's Spiral Power from Gurren Lagann, Gold Experience Requiem, etc. S tier OP: A tier, but with full control over their powers. You know, like Full YHVH from SMT (AKA Christian God in that game) or The One Above All from Marvel (Stan Lee, who can do anything with his story so long as the company says it's okay) X tier OP: A tier, but literally capable of doing anything they want so long as they want to do it, with full control over that. For example, the Axiom from SMT, Christian God as according to the Bible, and uhh Endgame Medaka Box characters I guess
I’m more of a fan of Steven Universe, and thought he would win too, but they made good points. Also, Star Vs the Forces of Evil was a pretty good show. Only complaints I’ve heard was that the end was rushed, because it was originally supposed to go for another season.
Cloud vs link is a rematch from 2012 when death battle was called screw attack death battle and wiz and broomstick was just voices and they had no animated bodies and this was the first to fourth season I forget which season because this was around their early days of the youtube channel they had

No matter what the outcome was and whether you agree with it or not, I think we can all agree that Steven didn’t deserve that, he was to pure for death battle like mob
I don't watch death battle and I was considering watching it again, but not any more. I understand what db is coming from, but they mentioned that Steven has easily avoided lasers as a kid without using powers, but they made him die from one in the battle. And now especially with his super speed, he should have been able to avoid the laser spell she casted. And on top of that, in Star's show, she actually only uses that spell as a giant laser pointer to distract giant cats, and never uses it when leathally, even in life or death situations. As stupid as it sounds, it's true. With Steven's speed, durability, and shields, star's spells aren't much of a problem for Steven. And Steven can easily blitz her. Not one shot blitz her, but if he does it multiple times, she would be severely damaged and would end up being knocked unconscious or killed. Steven can easily trap her and immobilize her like he did to jasper, and crush her with a spike wall, or blitz her into a spike wall. In the DB, they made Steven only use his super speed once, which is dumb. Steven would keep throwing punches and eventually kill her it knock her unconscious. And yes, there is a spell that can destroy a Universe, but she was never shown to use or know the spell. So I don't think it's fair to give her the Universal feat that she only had the potential to have, but actually doesn't have. Plus, I don't think she would destroy an entire universe just to beat Steven. But either way in a DB and if these to characters were to actually fight, Steven wins.

Those characters are specifically gags though. These two aren't, and fall under the "objections to killing are removed" rule. Otherwise they would never have Batman but he's been here FOUR TIMES.

Star (from Star Versus the Forces Of Evil) would, in all Honesty, Destroy Steven (from Steven Universe) IF SHE WANTED TO. but in reality she never would kill anybody, unless they are pure evil and relentless. like This one dude Toffe who wouldn't stop until all magic were destroyed

Although, I'll never understand why they would mention how he could move really fast and never use it or fusion. Also disliked the way Steven tried to kill Star. We've seen what he could do when he was filled with murder, vs Jasper as an example.
I was looking forward to Link vs. Cloud, it's a really old battle they did a long time ago that was one of their most hated on fights because of how they portrayed both characters and decided their abilities, the biggest one was making Link a combination of ALL of the games and giving him EVERY item and ability from them even though they are all different people technically lol.
So when I saw they were finally doing a rematch, I was pretty hyped. But with the Link preview they gave...they're doing the same thing, so now idk why they are even bothering doing it again, kinda a bummer

i didn't watch either of these shows, but I knew enough about them to know that the moment I saw Star Butterfly the fight was over.
From what I understand, she's one of those broken ass characters who are always as strong as the plot needs them to be, with her abilities being only limited by her imagination since she can make up her own spells as she likes without real limitation.
You need a reality warper to beat someone like that, and even that's not even possible half the time.
So yea, Steven turned out to only be a D or C-tier OP character while Star was a B-tier OP character possibly going up to S-tier if she was smarter. There was no way Steven was gonna win.
For reference,
F tier OP: strong as hell, like Levi from Attack on Titan.
D tier OP: capable of destroying planets with ease, like DBZ Frieza.
C tier OP: capable of wiping out galaxies with ease, like original movie Broly
B tier OP: strong enough to beat anything so like as the plot calls for it, like Superman or Saitama from One Punch Man
A tier OP: capable of beating literally anything so long as the plot calls for it, like Haruhi Suzumiya. Powers must at least be reality warping from here on, including Doraemon's multidimensional multichronological technology, Simone's Spiral Power from Gurren Lagann, Gold Experience Requiem, etc.
S tier OP: A tier, but with full control over their powers. You know, like Full YHVH from SMT (AKA Christian God in that game) or The One Above All from Marvel (Stan Lee, who can do anything with his story so long as the company says it's okay)
X tier OP: A tier, but literally capable of doing anything they want so long as they want to do it, with full control over that. For example, the Axiom from SMT, Christian God as according to the Bible, and uhh

I’m more of a fan of Steven Universe, and thought he would win too, but they made good points. Also, Star Vs the Forces of Evil was a pretty good show. Only complaints I’ve heard was that the end was rushed, because it was originally supposed to go for another season.

Cloud vs link is a rematch from 2012 when death battle was called screw attack death battle and wiz and broomstick was just voices and they had no animated bodies and this was the first to fourth season I forget which season because this was around their early days of the youtube channel they had
Just to let y'all know death battle already did link vs cloud back in 2012 so this is either going to be a rematch like sonic vs Mario/goku vs superman or an updated remake like Samus vs boba fett
No matter what the outcome was and whether you agree with it or not, I think we can all agree that Steven didn’t deserve that, he was to pure for death battle like mob
I don't watch death battle and I was considering watching it again, but not any more. I understand what db is coming from, but they mentioned that Steven has easily avoided lasers as a kid without using powers, but they made him die from one in the battle. And now especially with his super speed, he should have been able to avoid the laser spell she casted. And on top of that, in Star's show, she actually only uses that spell as a giant laser pointer to distract giant cats, and never uses it when leathally, even in life or death situations. As stupid as it sounds, it's true. With Steven's speed, durability, and shields, star's spells aren't much of a problem for Steven. And Steven can easily blitz her. Not one shot blitz her, but if he does it multiple times, she would be severely damaged and would end up being knocked unconscious or killed. Steven can easily trap her and immobilize her like he did to jasper, and crush her with a spike wall, or blitz her into a spike wall. In the DB, they made Steven only use his super speed once, which is dumb. Steven would keep throwing punches and eventually kill her it knock her unconscious. And yes, there is a spell that can destroy a Universe, but she was never shown to use or know the spell. So I don't think it's fair to give her the Universal feat that she only had the potential to have, but actually doesn't have. Plus, I don't think she would destroy an entire universe just to beat Steven. But either way in a DB and if these to characters were to actually fight, Steven wins.
