Beatles are the Beatles. Peter Frampton displayed his incredible voice. IMHO, no one has topped his version. Beautiful rendition, sorrow of the lyrics come alive. Frampton was a good as anyone.
This along with Golden Slumbers/Boy, You're Gonna Carry That Weight, and A Day In The Life scenes are among the best tearjerking scenes in movie history.
Fell for Peter in 1977. I still simply adore him, all because of the pure happiness he exudes when he plays the guitar. The look of, I don't know; glee, happiness, pure love of playing. He epitomizes a person whos whole being, soul, is breathed out in his playing. I am head over heels drawn to him because of his obvious love for his craft. I have been so saddened by his debilitating diagnosis and I most sincerely wish him the very best.
This song is bittersweet..However it reminds me of how strong I've become. That I survived the most tragic time of my life..This beautiful version by Peter Frampton will be in my soul forever..Its a reflection of the beautiful life I've grown into..I discovered life isn't tragic it becomes a TRIUMPH!
This is the only song i can say is much better than the original song sung by the Beatles. Peter Frampton's version is more emotional especially the solo guitar or instrumental part. The instrumental part will carry you emotionally to reminisce the past.
I dedicate this to my dead sister, Tracy Fleck, this was one of our favorite movies when we were kids she passed 2/18/2014...I'm missing her still on 2/2/2017
To Sakkara 1331... You just broke my heart. Im so sorry for the loss of your sister. I havent heard this song since the movie came out, something struck me tonight to look this song up...I was 14 when this movie came out. Now its in my history list I will play it again and again and every time I listen to it, I will be dedicating it to your sister, Tracy. P.S. I have a few sisters myself, my closest sister to my heart is named tracy.
I am so glad that I acquired this album back in the day. There is a lot of great music in the world and we're only here for a short time to enjoy some of it. Listen to as much of it as U can,...for as long as U can. Peace and Blessings
Yes. I Also bought this album after seeing the movie. Good sound track. I still have it too. I was 18 then .album looks the same, I have changed somewhat!! Lol.
my dad had this jewel in vinyl format hidden from me... considering I just discovered this version of "The Long And Winding Road", I'm thinking of selling my Beatles Sgt Pepper CD - all these soundtracks are a lot better than original Beatles material! 🙄 my dad must be laughing at this, whichever plain he may be! 😌😔
I wouldnt honestly be suprised if this was the first movie I ever saw. I love it, its my fave. Honestly Peter Frampton did a amazing remake on this song!

Saw this movie first before got to know about Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album by The Beatles. Damn good rendition by the singers involved. One of my top movie OST
It's on the 2 disc soundtrack for the movie Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. The picture used in the video is the soundtrack cover art. Unfortunately, I don't think it's available any music streaming app.
I think Martin's arrangement outclassed Phil Spector's reworking of the original Beatles recording but Frampton's voice is all wrong for a song like this. At least it's redeemed by the guitar solo in the middle eight.
Sounds like a jealous asshole to me what's what's matter keyboard Warrior can't find a girl cause live in mommy basement and no girl will even give you a single look Cause your such a loser so you envy people like Tyler who can have any girl he wants
This movie is an undiscovered treasure.
Beatles are the Beatles.

That long road,is life!
I💗 have Lived this Song💞😔💞
Peter Frampton hizo una gran versión que me gusta mucho para siempre !!!!!
song still brings me to tears
I lost my oldest brother sooo many years ago, this song still sends chills through me, Peter's voice puts an ice edge to it, but, that's where it is😢
''Nothing beautiful in this world is ever really lost, all things beloved live on in our hearts forever''. Said by A Native American Elder.❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
Nice job Peter Frampton as always!
After listening to Peter sing this song, I can’t allow myself to listen to anyone else’s version. This version is it! 💔💔💔
Beautiful !!
The Beatles wrote a beautifully tragic song and Peter brought it to life. You can hear the sadness in his voice.
It didn't need 'bought to life' it was perfect as it was, the naked version anyway. Joe Cocker is the only person who has bettered a Beatles song.
Melancholy way...
Peter Frampton at his best !!!
I learned about life, love and death at the age of 7 thanks to these beautiful songs and movie.
My music teacher loved the Beatles
He was an amazing teacher
RIP mr Lyttle
You are missed but never forgotten
GOD BLESS HIS SOUL!
1978 was awesome..this show and Grease. Great time to be a kid.
so very true
This along with Golden Slumbers/Boy, You're Gonna Carry That Weight, and A Day In The Life scenes are among the best tearjerking scenes in movie history.

I saw him in concert here in Southern California years ago. He was awesome.

I've seen the video of him with EC playing 'while my guitar.....' it was superb.

Yes
Peter and the beegees sang all the Beatles songs better than the Beatles
As soon as I heard, "The long and..." I was so happy I could cry tears of joy!
This made me cry sooo much pure artwork
I dedicate this to my dead sister, Tracy Fleck, this was one of our favorite movies when we were kids she passed 2/18/2014...I'm missing her still on 2/2/2017

I love the solo on this. It sounds like a six-string guitar, possibly
I wouldnt honestly be suprised if this was the first movie I ever saw. I love it, its my fave. Honestly Peter Frampton did a amazing remake on this song!
Only Peter Frampton could pull this off.
This song reminds me of the journeys that I took to my Grandparents' houses as they lived on roads like this. I do miss them so.
A far better rendition of this song than the Beetles. I actually hate to admit that!
Ry
Peter Frampton is not to be underestimated ...
It isn't though. Not even close.
We are renegades!
one of my favorites
Yes, Jesus...don't leave me standing here, lead me to your door! ✨🙌✨👑✨💖✨

Sweet 🤗🌄🌇🌅
I have been looking for this song for a long time. Found it!!! Thanks.
Favorite song
I remember watching this as a kids i cried during this part.
Very well done, cudos!
Magical even if the movie wasn't considered all that great-
Reminds me of a movie in 1978...
The only album ever i went through the vinyl.
Okay, but for those comments suggesting this is better singing than Macca, come on, get serious. I did like Frampton's jazzy solo.
This movie made me turn my head on being a Beatle fan
This cover of The long winding Road. Has never included in his album. Only here in youtube to hear him do this song.
It's on the 2 disc soundtrack for the movie Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. The picture used in the video is the soundtrack cover art. Unfortunately, I don't think it's available any music streaming app.
My dad loved the version of this song as compared to the Beatles.
👍
Exactly
Paul McCartney lo sacó de una mesa de comedor al sarg peper y oigan en lo q se convirtio
I prefer Peter's version to The Beatles. So much more emotion
Love Frampton version but ido think billy ocean's is the best
Who?

Its sad, he just lost Strawberry 😔
Yet she did such for heartland
This was when Aeroamith was young and sounded great, now they are 80 years and sound like shit, give it up.
Anyone who subscribes to a channel called Boyzone is not allowed to comment on Aerosmith
Great cover
