This brought back so many memories of being a kid; sitting on the floor with my friends listening to our 45s, watching Razzle Dazzle then going outside to play, riding our bikes and climbing trees. Funny how a song can bring back so many good memories.
'74 really gave some wonderful music, memories and times...We were all so young and listened to songs like this on our A.M. radio stations blaring out from that little speaker on dashboards riding to and from school....
The song reminds me of my wife she passed away eight years ago from cancer I miss her so much every time I hear the song I Cry so much I wish you were here I'll see you in heaven
I remember their show when I was a little kid, my older sisters would watch it. They even bought the album, which I still have. I just lost one of my sisters. Little do the artists know how they contribute to our lives by giving us memories that last forever.
I will always remember this song as I drove thru New Mexico on vacation in 1974. It was playing constantly on AM radio, and could not get it out of my head.
They’re still around! They are pretty active in the business as record producers and directors. Bill Hudson is dad to actors Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson. (And Kurt Russell is their stepdad).
I used to watch the Hudson brothers when I was a little too and when I heard this song I thought it was a great song they wrote one of the greatest and I thought it was a beautiful song to but it wasn't when I seen them sing it on their show that's not what a great combination of Three Brothers making a great hit they were wonderful times I'll never forget them now that my mom passed away am I remembering back when we were young it was so much fun or then I'll never forget that song I can hear it a hundred times and cry everytime I hear it Hudson Brothers you were great I'll miss you guys
I absolutely LOVE The Hudsons. I own the compleat Razzle Dazzle on dvd. So much talent and fun and amazing production. I own albums and 45s too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️
Great memories with this one! It was a HUGE hit record in my hometown of Louisville when I was in high school. Was a bigger hit there than it was nationally, landing at #6 on the end-of-the-year countdown.
I remember being a teenager and buying one of those "Billboard Book of Hits' compilations and shocked to see this was only #21 on Billboard. I grew up in PA's Lehigh Valley and remember this played regularly on either the NYC or Philadelphia stations (or both). My ex was from Baton Rouge LA and said it was a pretty big hit on the radio there too.
I just heard this on an oldies station and I couldn't believe it was the Hudson Brothers. I used to watch their show all the time when I was 11 or 12. :) This sounds like an English group. I used to have a crush on Bill just to be different because everyone had a crush on Brett. lol.
Favorite of 1974. They got me through my last year of High School! Still love you boys ! Thanks for signing autographs in Connecticut! Will never forget Brett stopping and saying sure .
Really? A favorite in 1974? Never heard these guys, even after 1974. Band sounds familiar but that may be because Bill Hudson hooked up with Goldie Hawn for a "few" months.
Lynn Taylor Hawn stuck it out with Hudson from '76 to '80 (we thought she was a little hottie! Her trademark? Her legs). Fyi, "few" months was sarcasm thus the "few" months. Anyhow, the point was, although the Hudson Bros name sounded vaguely familiar, stumbling on this UA-cam was the first time I've ever heard these guys. Same with 100% of the folks I knew from that era.
I loved the Hudson Brothers TV show. Came here to see if I recognized this song because it charted when I was 10 years old. I don't remember it at all.
I loved the Hudson Brothers and watched their show all the time. There were a lot of groups in the 70s with similar sounds because that was the style. They sounded like themselves. They were funny and Goldie Hawn married Bill and they had two children Oliver and Kate. I think most know of Kate Hudson as someone else posted but Oliver is an actor as well.. They were only married four years. They were really popular during the 70s.
The Hudsons were so funny! They used a lot of the speed-up technique on their show, and were blessed with a good cast. I think of them when I see Imagination Movers.
When the world comes to an end--which, the way things are going, could be any day now--if this isn't on the list of "100 Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Songs Ever Written", the world needed to come to an end...
These guys were funny on their Saturday morning comedy show when I was a kid. Very likable. I still said "No thanks, I'm tryin to cut down" when I was in High School after the show was off the air.
forthe longest time, the only version i heard of this was on one of those compilation albums by either K-tel or Ronco or ???Then I got the single (45) and heard the unabridged version for the first time...and now after somehow losing the 45, I am able to hear the "unabridged" version once again....ty beatlefan....from that era..and we were proud to call it music...jeff
I recently got a DVD series of the Razzle Dazzle Show. I had only a faint recollection of it from seeing it as a little kid back in 1975 or so, and it was so cool to see the show again now that I'm older and wiser and can understand and appreciate more of what is going on in the show.
wow i use to watch this i liked brett and can't remember the other ones name lol seems like one was mark too but can't be sure been a very long time and i collected tiger beat and 16 magazines ....ty for sharing always did like this song
@TuberOnTheLoose I would never judge you or anyone who had a little transistor radio.....I LOVED mine, got it as an 8th grade graduation present and to me that little blue radio was everything!!.....
I remember the TV show, and I had a copy of this 45. ELO at 0:43 !!! The Wondermints covered this in 1996. I put both versions in my Wondermints playlist. Thanks for the upload!
I always really liked this song. It's very Beatles-ish. The vocal on the verse sounds like George Harrison, while that of the chorus sounds a lot like John Lennon. However, I agree with certain comments that this song sounds most like Badfinger, as if it could have been penned by Pete Ham, the Badfinger lead guitarist who wrote and sang of all their hits. The overall production and sound is trademark Badfinger, which means it's kind of Beatles-ish but not a Beatles copy. In any case, it's a great song.
Played this for my girls a few year ago (they were in mid and late teens, "Beatles Freaks" like their old man), told them it was an old Beatles song...they had no doubt until I told them....beyond the vocals, the other elements of the song are very "Pepperish"...I luv it
for the most lennon/mccartney vocals ever, no one comes close to neil innes....check out the rutles. i always thought neil would have been a great addition to the beatles, who were friends and fans of the bonzo dog band, who appeared in the magical mystery tour movie.
These guys were seriously underrated as musicians at the time. Loved this song as a kid, still love it now.
Same here. I was thinking the other day that this is such an awesome song.
Same same. Glad this song is posted. I've searched for it many times over the years.
What a beautiful song,I love this kind of old music.
This was my grandma’s favorite song. I just wish she was here today to listen to this.
Rest in piece you Angel❤️
Mona Lynn Jantz
1960-2019
sorry for your loss. i hope you hold up man
This brought back so many memories of being a kid; sitting on the floor with my friends listening to our 45s, watching Razzle Dazzle then going outside to play, riding our bikes and climbing trees. Funny how a song can bring back so many good memories.
I remember as a kid thinking the intro of the Razzle Dazzle Show was the coolest thing on TV... and I still think so!
I'm sorry my friend. God Bless.
Very sorry for your loss 🙏
Deepest condolences, Michael. I went through a deep loss, as well. She will always be there in spirit.
Great song...classic 70s sound...I loved those years
I remember their show when I was a little kid, my older sisters would watch it. They even bought the album, which I still have. I just lost one of my sisters. Little do the artists know how they contribute to our lives by giving us memories that last forever.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Take care.
so true.
I was 5 when this song came out. I still think about it. lol.
Ben, sorry for your loss ❤️
Sorry for your loss may she always sleep in peace
Damn. Almost 37 years after I first heard this as a kid...and never knew who played this. Awesome!

The Beatles are alive in this song , The Hudson Brothers did a fantastic piece of music here !!
Yes ! Head on Sirius today first time even though so was a kid in 70s. Thought of Beatles with the harmonies.
Yeah, I hear it. I never thought of it before. This song was so very popular in my hometown growing up.
This song brings back "Hey Jude"
Reminds me of Badfinger but also The Beatles.
I loved this song. And just discovered I still do!
The Hudson Brothers have always made me smile. Simple as that.
me too
I second that. I was only 9 or 10 when Razzle was on.
Fantastic Song...Hudson Brothers forever...great vocals..great musicians..great humor..great writers...
Agreed
LOVED their TV show. Fabulous memories.
I will always remember this song as I drove thru New Mexico on vacation in 1974. It was playing constantly on AM radio, and could not get it out of my head.
Wow - I've never heard this song or this band. Beautiful voices and perfect harmony.
They had a comedy show on Saturday mornings geared to kids.
Wholesome comforting humor.
Seemed like genuine nice guys
This is Kate and Oliver Hudson's father, Bill Hudson, and uncles Mark and Bret.
So happy to have found this song again! Was madly in love with all 3 of them! Loved their show, had all their albums. Severely underrated!!!

My sister and I watched their show nearly every Saturday
I used to love them and always watched their show

Bill was my favorite 😍
They’re still around! They are pretty active in the business as record producers and directors. Bill Hudson is dad to actors Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson. (And Kurt Russell is their stepdad).
believe it or not this song is still in my head after all these years. I had to look it up, and here it is! Thanks!
I used to watch the Hudson brothers when I was a little too and when I heard this song I thought it was a great song they wrote one of the greatest and I thought it was a beautiful song to but it wasn't when I seen them sing it on their show that's not what a great combination of Three Brothers making a great hit they were wonderful times I'll never forget them now that my mom passed away am I remembering back when we were young it was so much fun or then I'll never forget that song I can hear it a hundred times and cry everytime I hear it Hudson Brothers you were great I'll miss you guys
great song, the lead singer sounds so much like John Lennon here. I remember watching their variety show. thanks so much for posting this!!!
Brings back the memories of great times. Haven't heard these guys in forever! Thanks for posting this song.
OMG...This song reminds me of when I was a teenager.I loved it then and still do.I also remember watching their show on tv.They were so cute.

Used to love this show as a kid and this song!
I absolutely LOVE The Hudsons. I own the compleat Razzle Dazzle on dvd. So much talent and fun and amazing production. I own albums and 45s too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️
Great song. Memories of high school 1974!
I was 15. It was my freshman year in HS
Great memories with this one! It was a HUGE hit record in my hometown of Louisville when I was in high school. Was a bigger hit there than it was nationally, landing at #6 on the end-of-the-year countdown.

I always liked this song. Very Badfinger-ish.
Mark had such a great voice ..... and can still bring it!
12 years when this song came out, Totally fell in love with Brett, Now I'm 50, and it brings back gr8 memories! Thanks for posting!!!
Hands off! Brett is mine. :)
A true gem. Fabulous memories. Released on September 7, 1974 reaching #21 on November 23. It should have been at least Top 10.
These guys were absolutely wonderful. I was a big fan & totally in love with them. Funny. Incredibly talented musicians. Absolutely underrated!!
I was 16 when this came out and saw them in Disneyland! I still have pictures! So much fun!

Great song and it never gets old.
I ADORE THE HUDSON BROTHERS! 😭 💕 thank you for this!
The greatest song nobody knows.
I just heard this on an oldies station and I couldn't believe it was the Hudson Brothers. I used to watch their show all the time when I was 11 or 12. :) This sounds like an English group. I used to have a crush on Bill just to be different because everyone had a crush on Brett. lol.
I remember hearing the DJ say this is probably what the Beatles would sound like if they'd stayed together lol. He did a good Lennon. Great song!
***** More than a few months, they had 2 children . Oliver is on Nashville and we all know who Kate is. I think the marriage lasted from 75 til 79.
Jest to najpiękniejsza piosenka, aktualna do dnia dzisiejszego.
Wspaniała aranżacja !!!
That is just a great song, only recently heard this on the DVD, but what a great song. Thanks for the video as well.
This is my first time hearing this song and I’m inlove with it! Heard of this group watching Family Guy and had to look them up!
I loved the Hudson Brothers TV show. Came here to see if I recognized this song because it charted when I was 10 years old. I don't remember it at all.

When the world comes to an end--which, the way things are going, could be any day now--if this isn't on the list of "100 Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Songs Ever Written", the world needed to come to an end...
has a badfinger groove
Thanks so much for posting. I was just a little boy when they had their TV show and I remember it fondly and so perfectly, including this song.
These guys were funny on their Saturday morning comedy show when I was a kid.
Very likable.
I still said "No thanks, I'm tryin to cut down" when I was in High School after the show was off the air.
Hudson Brothers? Holy shit, I haven't heard or thought of these guys in a long long time. Thanks for sharing. I remember watching their tv show.

It’s a shame this song isn’t on Apple Music or Spotify
You are so correct. It is sad. I’m so grateful I’ve kept their albums and singles. Burned them to CD for preservation.
@@BlueLineGroovy Its on Spotify now.
A top40 hit for The Hudson Brothers which was released around the same time their Razzle-Dazzle Show was shown on CBS.
Kenneth A Huang 10/1/22.
WOW, this may have been the first 45 I purchsed! Thanks for sharing as it has been years - maybe a decade or two since I heard this one!
Loved the Hudson Brothers growing up in the 70s loved Kate Hudson and never knew until yesterday that Bill is her dad! 🌋
This had the potential to be huge
I recently got a DVD series of the Razzle Dazzle Show. I had only a faint recollection of it from seeing it as a little kid back in 1975 or so, and it was so cool to see the show again now that I'm older and wiser and can understand and appreciate more of what is going on in the show.

Beautiful Song by the Hudson Brothers.... Dave Hitztaler
WOW!!! Thanks for the blast from the past!
Sublimity! I haven't heard this since I was 11, and watched it on the show. Thanks so much for posting. :)
I remember! I HAVE this album. I liked the more adult of their TV shows. But oh yes, big time crushes.
I used to watch their show and Brett was my favourite !!! miss the show !!
Chucky Margolis...he was the comic relief.
Gordon Wogberg nice to see people still watch this video after a while.
John and Paul singing again a fresh song
Eu tinha 14 anos quando ouvia essa música...40 anos se passou e voltei naquela época ouvindo agora...Obrigado, tempos que não voltam mais !!!
They debuted in a primetime show and then had a Sat. AM kid's show. Hollywood Situation on cassette. Played it to death.
Just as I was old enough to wear platform shoes, the fad came to a screeching halt.
That was 1976.I was 14.
Then Punk hit.
Thanks for posting. From Uruguay, best wishes.
Época de oro los 70, grandisimo grupo
@TuberOnTheLoose I would never judge you or anyone who had a little transistor radio.....I LOVED mine, got it as an 8th grade graduation present and to me that little blue radio was everything!!.....

Linda música.
Faz muito tempo que não escutava.
Hoje revirando meus discos de vinil achei este para reviver bons momentos.
I had no idea these guys were musicians...I thought they were just a comedy team, given their movie "Hysterical."
Very interesting!
Amo esta música. 1974 ano difícil, mas maravilhoso em termos musicais. I love this song. Brasil.
Very well done
Thanks for posting this....it was a really cool song....kinda dreamy, but of course back then we all had dreams.....
Loved the show when i was a kid
This song makes me cry! 😢
I used to love this song. "If You Want My Love" by Cheap Trick sounded a lot like this.
Had the album also😊
if lennon and mcartneys voice morphed into one....this is what it would sound like....
Cool tune
your so right on
there are parts of the chorus that sound identical to lennon. it's scary!
Played this for my girls a few year ago (they were in mid and late teens, "Beatles Freaks" like their old man), told them it was an old Beatles song...they had no doubt until I told them....beyond the vocals, the other elements of the song are very "Pepperish"...I luv it

linda musica relembro a minha a adolescência que saudade tempo e que não voltam ❤🌺🍀
Hudson Brothers have six albums of course all are out or print and not on any streaming sites - well two of em just go by the name Hudson

Bought the single back in 1974...good stuff!!!
