I'm not ashamed to be 58 but the best advice is to stop telling people how old you are. I can wear anything. As soon as I say my age, the energy changes. Great tips.
I read a while back, that Cher (wearing a leather well fitted jump suit) was accosted by a bolshy youngster who told her she had no right to be wearing such outfit's at her age, as it was just for the young. She told said youngster, that ''we' (me too!) invented this look, and the youngster had no right to wear it, unless we who invented this look in the 60's said they could! Go Cher... :)
@@KarenmitchellANI Not to burst your bubble but almost everyone thinks they look younger than they are. This is bolstered by flattery from others who say, "Wow. You don't look anywhere near (insert age here)!" They're actually saying it to be nice but we, insecure species that we are, believe them.

Thanks so much for posting. Sometimes my friends don't understand my wardrobe buying strategies. When I find, say, a jacket or top I really like (and fits), I will buy several of them in different colors. Sometimes I do the same thing with shoes. I wear an 8 1/2 AA (U.S. size) shoe which usually has to be ordered online. If I like them and they feel good, I will order a couple of different colors. My friends don't understand how badly overlooked women in my age bracket (I'm 65) are overlooked by the fashion industry. And you're right - this has been going on for years and years and years. Thanks so much for addressing this issue and showing us how to dress so we don't look old before our time.
A 50 year old woman can wear exactly what a 20 year old does and look so pretty. As long as you wear the correct size , at any age , you’ll always look beautiful 💖
@@margaretquigley4303and cropped tops 😬. I know someone that I work with who’s over 50 as am I, but she wears the torn worn ripped jeans etc and I just want to say “Really” ! There is a limit to wearing some items that is only for the younger gals!
In Canada the capri pant is the worst, what your describing that you suggest to wear is a crop pant as we refer to it! Or just flip up a cuff on a pair of jeans!
It's important to find a style that works for you and makes you feel confident and comfortable. Additionally, taking care of your skin, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep can also help you maintain a youthful glow. Thank you so much for this. ❣
I'm in my 30s, all of these were perfect! no sacrificing comfort but feeling cute and updated! you are never to 'old' to invest time and care for yourself ladies! you're worth it!
This points out what is wrong with our society in terms of women and age. We are conditioned from a very young age to devalue a woman once she reaches a certain age. It’s like, “Who cares about her, at 50 she’s basically irrelevant, let’s dress her as a neutral lump.” I just discovered your channel, and I’m really enjoying the content. Thank you!
This is so true, and the designers and retailers are missing out on a huge customer base. With the aging society (I'm in my early 60's), there are more people over 50 than there are under 50. Unless we become disabled, we have to work until we are at least in our mid 60's, so we need work clothing too. Even after we retire, we still need fashionable clothing.
Hi ladies! I'm in the under 30 club, watched this video out of curiosity, and have read a bunch of comments. Firstly, hearing someone speak about feeling as though they should be hiding in social situations broke my heart and I saw comments mentioning that it hit home. I hope you all know that anyone who feels you should be invisible is unimportant and irrelevant! As a young person, I truly appreciate everyone in my life over 50 and don't know where I'd be without them and their guidance. You. Are. Important. Secondly, I saw a lot of comments mentioning the dislike of skinny jeans. I hear you! I dislike them too! Let me breathe and eat please haha I have had great luck with the pixie pants at Old Navy and tend to wear them instead of jeans. Lovely video! Refreshing and supportive! 💕💕💕
Thanks for the heads up on the dixie pants...I've never tried those. BTW you'll be my age in a blink of an eye...I miss wearing short skirts and shorts....enjoy it now!
I have FOUR PAIRS of pixie pants! Size zero from old navy. Fit like a glove. Love them. Just bought white on sale. Have navy, khaki and grey. Love them. Mid waist perfect length. I’m 5’2.♥️♥️
Just turned 70 and I wouldn't be seen dead in this outfit! Ugh! I have always avoided large prints. Good solid colours and classic cuts, whether casual or formal are the best bet.
One of the main elements that stood out to me in this video is the use of SOLID colors rather than big prints. I have always favored solids over prints. Even small prints just look too "busy" on me. They seem to take away rather from rather than enhance your look.
I dressed like this 10 years ago in my 30s because I was plus size and didn’t have many options. I’ve since gained some confidence and gotten better about finding things more on trend. Need to make sure I don’t still have these remnants in my closet! More videos like this please!
I am 56 and have always been told I look like I am 40. My biggest thing is I NEVER went out in the sun. Growing up my mother constantly covered us. I thank her today.
My go to shop since visiting the US 15 years ago is Anne Taylor. They have every cut you could ever wish for. I have ordered online since then, perfect cuts.
Thank you for affirming skinny jeans on women over 50. I'm 68 and love them. I dress them up with loose flowing tops or sweaters and down with t-shirts and sweatshirts. Your videos are uplifting and positive and I enjoy them. You are helping me enjoy life as I get older. 😎

I love this advice I'm 65 and 5'1" , I still have long hair and I get lots of compliments about it. Thank you for making it so easy to match our style for our size.
Your style is always so on-point, and I love how you're able to incorporate trends without looking like you're trying too hard. Your tip about mixing prints was especially useful - I've always been a little intimidated by that, but now I feel like I can pull it off. Keep up the great work!
I'm so happy I found this video Shelley! Just this week I've been looking up trends for my age, 59, going on 60 next year. I have loads of clothing I've never even worn which are perfect for my new look, having lost weight. You have great style and a great body!
Love the styles only suggestion is update your hairstyle with color highlights or low lights and pyt straightener other than that you look beautiful, stylish and youthful ( face looks great!) I’m 53 and I wear a lot of the styles you suggested and when I go out I wear clip ins or ponytails
This is the absolute best video I've ever found on dressing in my 50's (now 48...) I've EVER SEEN. I'm going to completely reset my closet this weekend based on your advice!!

I stopped coloring my hair last year, have salt and pepper now and I absolutely love it and I never dress to please those looking at me. I dress for comfort and what I like. Couldnt care less if I look older/younger, bigger/smaller, or on/off trend.
I agree with Teresa, and I'm watching to get ideas for options that will work for me. There's nothing wrong with wearing what you want and still being open to new influences for even the most casual style.
After viewing this recent video, I am feeling younger and happy. I have allowed my age to determine how I dress too often. I am changing my wardrobe right away thanks to you, sweetheart 😁😘✅️
Hey I’m 80 and never dress old My friends tell me I always look smart and well put together....I’m a bit overweight too but wear v neck tees with skinny pants and more pointy shoes( which elongate) or boots, Jean jackets in black or white over the tee and jewelry that is long with trendy earrings and always do my makeup suitable for my coloring and white hair (cut short and trendy) I wear leather jackets in classic colors taupe or red.... that work well over simple cashmere sweaters/jeans in winter/spring (in South Carolina) ....I agree some people do need a jolt and don’t know what they look like....my younger friends ask my advice ...and I try to give them good feedback but they just don’t seem to get it......it should be fun too....I think they buy because it’s on sale or cheaper than the item that would really elevate their look....anyway I wish you luck, will refer them to your site...!🤗
I am 56 years old there is no way I am ready to sit down or lie down and let the rest of my life go by... maybe after the surgery I will feel a lot better keep our fingers crossed 🤞🙏 I never have dressed my age I never tried to dress 30 years younger but I do dress very nice when I go out even to the doctor. Anyway I think that there should be more normal average people on these TV shows especially the Bachelor and The Bachelorette..... why don't they take anybody in our age group doesn't everyone deserve a chance at love??? ????🤔🙏💕
It's great that you're still interested in fashion. However - we're kidding ourselves if we believe clothes can make us look younger in my opinion. People will still look at you and see an 80 year old - they'll simply notice you're an 80 year old who enjoys taking care of her appearance versus an 80 year old who couldn't care less!
@@essanjay8604 hey honey, wrong attitude , how we think is reflected in how we look….my mind is very active as well as my attitude and gratitude…sending you blessings …..❣️
@@galemonterio5261 Nope - age shows in multiple ways. You can't disguise it. It has nothing to do with how you think or how active your mind is .... bodies get old and it shows .... period.
I’m only 32 and I found this video valuable and interesting. When I think about it, the older women that I know who look the most youthful dress very similar to women who are my age and they wear it in a way that seems natural and effortless. My husband’s aunt comes to mind, she is somewhere in the 65-70 age range and seems so much younger. A full face of natural makeup seems to do the trick, as well.
Boy your explanations are excellent! You don’t just say what’s good or bad, you explain why. Your advice is so similar to what my mother used to tell me. One thing that she used to say is that just because something is in style, doesn’t mean that you should wear it. PS, I’m older than you are.
It’s unfortunate, ladies our age should be aggressively marketed. We’re mostly financially stable, are comfortable in our own skin ( confident), and desire to look beautiful , because we are ladies. Great tips, I appreciate you as being an advocate for us, rocking it at every age.
I don't think we should be aggressively marketed . Be comfortable . Not every 50 plus gal will feel comfy in frigging skinny jeans on a sweltering hot day . Take the ' aggressively ' out .!
@@DP-jy2ge Nothing wrong with it. People have been applying make up and bleaching hair since the dawn of time. Even farther back in pre history when they didn't even have mirrors. Even animals do it! But I do think your self love shouldn't have to do with appearance. People (even men) like to look good and for some fashion has always been a hobby, art form, and form of expression. As verbal of communicators as humans are we do a lot of communication based on appearance and body language. Fact is making yourself look the best works. Unless your goal is to put people off with terrible fashion and hygiene or you simply like just being completely natural I see nothing wrong. However some trends or just being a trend whore is over the top and shallow. I'm more of a style person vs a trend person
This is such fun info. Since gaining menopausal weight, I've learned that dressmakers must think an overweight woman should be publically humiliated with horribly styled clothes.
Yes I agree..you still want to look as attractive and even dare I say sexy as you might feel on the inside. It definitely feels like styles out there are trying to wear people over 45 out.
This is great content! At 57, I believe for me, I bought and still buy classic clothing some I have been wearing since the 80s. Fad dressing was never a good thing because styles change so much. As long as the clothes still fit well and they are fashionable and stylish, I feel very comfortable & get compliments all the time. I definitely like thrift shop buys, name brands yet low cost.

I've learned so much from your videos! And I think you're right that our age group, late 40s to late 60s, is kind of underserved by marketers and retailers. It's very hard to find things that flatter my figure. But I've learned so many tips from you. Thank you so much for all you do!
Me too!!! I have been wanting for so long to have someone help me with the do's and dont's of fashion for my Apple shaped body. Very greatful for this video!!
I took your advice and bought new jeans to replace my old, outdated styles I've had for years. WOW! I bought a pair of skinny jeans in a proper size and I feel decades younger! I added a pair of Ralph Lauren skinny jeans in white and tossed everything else. I wore white sneakers when I was a teen. It's delightful to know I can wear them again and not be laughed at. Helen Mirren is my fashion muse - she's only a few years older than I am and always looks fresh and attractive, never dowdy or frumpy. Thanks for this video. You've no idea how much it lifts my spirits.💖
I am a Halle Berry street style, I learned when I turned 50 that I refuse to look like a parachute or clothes too big that I'm hidden. I always catch my husband starting at me like we're in high school or something, he always compliments my dress. I love this video just confirms my style, thank you again.
Hi, I am 70 and never intend to dress frumpy. I was trying on some Filo trainers that my granddaughter bought and loved them. I didn't purchase at the time as was thinking of cost but after watching your video, I think I will be buying. Keep up the good work. Love your videos and lovely voice.
To be honest with you have that ❤️ touching smile 😊 and you are very gorgeous. I love your smiles can light up a dark room making you look like the 30s.
Brilliant, empowering and on point. I’m 63 and love getting dressed for any occasion. Follow basic rules with great simple basics to start then accessories to top off the look. 🤩
Thank you Shelly! I didn’t realize how out of shape I am!! I had a hand injury, it really rocked my world. So... slowly back at it. Being older will take longer to bounce back but I am determined 🌻

I went to a wedding and the bride's father was wearing an old stiff green suit from the 80's. After the ceremony, he changed into hip modern clothes for the reception. I was amazed at the transformation. He was an old guy in his 60's, but the trend clothes gave him a youthful energy, the difference was night and day. Keeping up with fashion makes one feel and look fresh.
I am a woman still in my 20's just doing some research for the future 😎 you're fabulous! I love the hair! So many woman over 50 or even over 40 feel like they can't have long hair and that makes me sad. Now I have hope I can keep my long locks later in life!
Seriously!!! Short hair is old lady hair to me. I REFUSE to go out gracefully. I have a full head of purple hair right now lol. I'll hit 50 in March but people usually guess I'm about 7 years younger on average. Definitely need help on wardrobe mostly due to weight. I'd be shopping Forever 21 if the clothes fit lol.
I'm 69 and I've had long hair all my adult life. Sometimes I have a ponytail, sometimes down, occasionally a plait, sometimes all up, twisted into a clip (especially in summer to get it off my neck in the heat). Wouldn't dream of cutting it, who said old women shouldn't have long hair...(my sister grew her short hair long after she was 50, and has never looked better!)
LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!!!! This is exactly what I needed. I’m 54 and am trying to go through my clothes and get rid of my fruppie old lady stuff. Thank you so much for this awesome and ENCOURAGING video. Love your style. Love you, Cindy 🌻💗💗💗💗

I'm in my late 30's and this isnonenof my favorite channels. I find myself wearing my teenage's niece hand-me-downs which is already crazy but I love how you teach us how we can style these clothes to look fashionable and comfortable.
❤️❤️thankyou Schelea. A lot has changed for people throughout life, and throughout covid. I've started wearing makeup again am trying out your hooded droopy lid technique. Thanks to this video, am reassessing my clothes AND I recently short choppy cut my longer silver curls. It's all coming together 🤗💝
Keep it simple . I find that works for everything in my life including clothes. Beautiful colors , clean lines , and always buy the best quality you can. And buy clothes that fit you properly. Not a size bigger to hide what you think are your flaws, and definitely not too tight. Make the clothes look good on you . And be confident , women over 50 RULE !
Also play up whatever features are ur best. If u still have great legs show them off if ur blessed with a small waist play it up with sinched waisted dresses and belts. I wear whatever fits my extra long " legs" and whatever I like. My long silver twists get compliments from all the youngsters as well as my bright red sneakers. Life is too short. Live it...ur way
Hi Schellea, even the women in their 70's and 80's don't like a lot of the fashion styles out there, I've spoken to a few. I've since cleaned out my wardrobe of the 'undesirables' as I did the pattern test and yes it does tend to make me look years older! Thanks xxx
These are great tips! So glad I found your channel. I turn 50 this coming year and I still want to feel youthful but don’t want to look like I’m trying to be 20. Love your content❤️
Really amazing advice . I am 51 and I totally follow these rules. I wear adidas, converse, and skinny jeans, but maybe not daisy Dukes or mini skirts lol. I still wear what my daughter wears but, I am conscious of how it looks based on my body shape and size. I love your channel❤️
I'm 27 and I love watching these videos. I don't have any fashion sense and watching these have given me great insight on what I need to focus on and should be buying. Great content !
Love, love, love that you've done this channel. I look at least a decade younger and have been trying to find some beautiful fashions age appropriate. Only thing to suggest is that vertical stripes are more flattering to shorter figures than the horizontal. Thank you so much for making it so easy. I immediately followed instruction and looked at Marie Osmond fashion street / images and found everything flattering and non flattering she's been photographed wearing. This is very cool! Please keep it up sister/ sistar! May the goodness of the goddess be with you!

Wow Im in my 30s, and lost my sense of style. I love the styles you showed in this video. They look so nice and you do look youthful. Thanks for the tips, Im going to try these styles.
I’m 80 and have rarely ever followers and can honestly say, probably never. I wear what I like and what I feel fits my body type. I have vintage things I wore when I was 45 and I can wear at 80 because they are classic and never go out of style. So it’s not only dressing for your body type, but for clothing that you will still love years from now. ❤️. Sandra
I am really glad to be part of these channels you run... My dressing 👗 had been total wrack before now, I am going to change and wear attractive wears and do better with my colour combination.

Thanks so much for the advice. I have also been very confused as to what to wear since I've been in my 50s for 7 years. My daughters let me know that I was looking too frumpy so I switched to jeggings and leggings and feel so much better about myself when I go out.
Excellent video!! Love it. It’s very informative. I can relate I’m 67 but I never dress dowdy or old quite the contrary my fashion sense is youthful and stylish ... such a helpful video! thank you!
Schellea, I could write a short story on style and my personal style/experiences, but I'll just keep this short and say what I loved about your advice: It was not only full of wonderful tips, but full of grace. (warm smile)
I'm older, petite and a little 'healthy'. I appreciated those tips. Most clothes that fit me comfortably make me look sloppy. By putting the clothes and shoes on, you showed what a difference the right ones can make. I needed the help and appreciate your video.
This was so helpful! Thank you! Going to be 61 next month and have been stuck on where to go with my “look”-googling celebrity street style is brilliant. I also think investing in some solid classic pieces now will be helpful. I really can step up to a super nice white shirt instead of Target or the GAP 😂
Hi Schellea, from Denver, Colorado USA. I’m Ruth and I’m 64. Your videos are so helpful and inspiring. I’ve been doing your stretching video every morning and it makes a huge difference in my days. You are so lovely ! I love this video! I did what you suggested and ended up googling Scarlett Johansson St. style. (Not that I think I look like her but my body type is hourglass. 😊) She always shows her ankles and wears fairly short tops, cute sneakers and different kinds of jeans. So I started styling myself, bought a few things and a couple pairs of cute sneakers, and the results are fabulous! Last night, my son said I like your shoes they make you look younger!! Keep the videos coming! G’day ❤
Hi Ruth! I absolutely love knowing that your son complimented your shoes💃 We only need to make very small tweaks to make a very big difference. Thanks so much for sharing with me ❤️
I saw a picture of myself wearing one of my favorite tops and realized how old ladyish I looked. It was one of those large prints she showed on the don't list. I really enjoyed this video. Good advise and I can't wait to do some shopping.
If it's one of your favourite tops, experiment with wearing it with skinny jeans (dark denim, white or a matching pale colour within the pattern) and sneakers with it before you ditch a favourite? Can you put a tie belt round it, roll the sleeves up if it has them, (just below the elbow is flattering and feminine) put a chunky necklace or bracelet with it? If all fails, keep it for gardening/decorating in. Don't let fashion deprive you of a favourite that makes you feel good please...
I’m 64 addressing old. My sister says I have to update my clothing. I’m glad I found your video. It certainly helps. Looking forward to some more videos to update my wardrobe and style.
I just found you today! You are literally an answer to my prayers ; ) Thank you for helping us young older women with make up and clothes. I have been lost and confused in this department for about 5 yrs. You are shedding light. {Hugs}
At 61 I have finally reached the point where it is about How I Feel While Wearing Anything! If I don't like the fabric/style/size/fit; if it binds/gaps/itches/etc. I toss it NOW! If I love 75% of these things, I will alter it somehow. I will not ever let fashion designers/culture/etc. decide what I wear
I love your channel because you always provide practical advice that I can actually use in my day-to-day life. Your tip about investing in quality basics was a game-changer for me - I used to be all about fast fashion, but now I see the value in investing in pieces that will last. Thanks for helping me level up my style!
Thank you Shelly. I found your videos last week and I love love love all your work. I purchased my first white sneaker and got it today and also went shopping for some new clothes. Keep up the good work. Shelly you are my best friend.

Nobody wants to see their grandma in a bikini.
Let me breathe and eat please haha
I have had great luck with the pixie pants at Old Navy and tend to wear them instead of jeans.
Lovely video! Refreshing and supportive!
💕💕💕
Hi Halston Brash! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
Thanks for the heads up on the dixie pants...I've never tried those.
Firstly?
Halston Brash Thanks, Hun😘
Just turned 70 and I wouldn't be seen dead in this outfit! Ugh! I have always avoided large prints. Good solid colours and classic cuts, whether casual or formal are the best bet.
Hello Wendy 👋
How are you feeling today I hope your day is as bright as your pretty smile today.
Wow, nice, you are looking pretty young and adorable in your 70s.
I also hate dropped shoulders.
One of the main elements that stood out to me in this video is the use of SOLID colors rather than big prints. I have always favored solids over prints. Even small prints just look too "busy" on me. They seem to take away rather from rather than enhance your look.
Good tips ! I love it! Will put it to good use.
Me too. I always joke that I am a "solid" person.
@@TheStarr51 I quess I am ˝solid˝ person also.

I dressed like this 10 years ago in my 30s because I was plus size and didn’t have many options. I’ve since gained some confidence and gotten better about finding things more on trend. Need to make sure I don’t still have these remnants in my closet! More videos like this please!
Wasn't ready to admit I am 55... I recently lost weight and had to revamp my clothing.
Thank you, so much for helping me!!!
Just turned 50; so blessed to stumble onto this video. Thanks. All excited to clear out my 'old' wardrobe and look my age FAB50!
I’m 51 and get told I look in my late 30’s. I refuse to dress sloppy. I love your channel 😊
Girl, I hear you! I'm 57 and I always have my clothes looking as impeccable as possible! And my hair and makeup too.
I am 56 and have always been told I look like I am 40. My biggest thing is I NEVER went out in the sun. Growing up my mother constantly covered us. I thank her today.
👏👏👏👏👏👏🥂
That is the key. Clean up. Hair colored or done. Makeup. Wear new clothes. Can't put on old stuff and run out the door like when you were 16.
Me too!
My go to shop since visiting the US 15 years ago is Anne Taylor. They have every cut you could ever wish for. I have ordered online since then, perfect cuts.
Wow that's cool you are trying to make things out.
Hello kendramott.

Wow, to be honest with you Kendra, you have that heart ❤️ touching smile 😊 and you are very gorgeous.
You are looking young and charming. I love your smile 😊

I love this advice I'm 65 and 5'1" , I still have long hair and I get lots of compliments about it. Thank you for making it so easy to match our style for our size.
You are so welcome Diana Morling! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
Your style is always so on-point, and I love how you're able to incorporate trends without looking like you're trying too hard.
I just turned 50 & am thankful for finding your channel.
Getting ideas from celebrities who share our body type is genius! Thank you.

Then why are you watching a tutorial based on just that?
@@josieposie9969 You are assuming.
@@inaminute2312 I'm going by your remark. You literally said you don't care whether you look older or younger.
I agree with Teresa, and I'm watching to get ideas for options that will work for me. There's nothing wrong with wearing what you want and still being open to new influences for even the most casual style.
Teresa not me!!!
After viewing this recent video, I am feeling younger and happy. I have allowed my age to determine how I dress too often. I am changing my wardrobe right away thanks to you, sweetheart 😁😘✅️
Hey I’m 80 and never dress old My friends tell me I always look smart and well put together....I’m a bit overweight too but wear v neck tees with skinny pants and more pointy shoes( which elongate) or boots, Jean jackets in black or white over the tee and jewelry that is long
with trendy earrings and always do my makeup suitable for my coloring and white hair (cut short and trendy) I wear leather jackets in classic colors taupe or red.... that work well over simple cashmere sweaters/jeans in winter/spring (in South Carolina) ....I agree some people do need a jolt and don’t know what they look like....my younger friends ask my advice ...and I try to give them good feedback but they just don’t seem to get it......it should be fun too....I think they buy because it’s on sale or cheaper than the item that would really elevate their look....anyway I wish you luck, will refer them to your site...!🤗
Bravo to you. I feel the same way- I wear what looks good on me and my age is none of your business.
Loved your comment! I'm 73 and wear vans and really cool things! thanks
Boy your explanations are excellent! You don’t just say what’s good or bad, you explain why. Your advice is so similar to what my mother used to tell me. One thing that she used to say is that just because something is in style, doesn’t mean that you should wear it. PS, I’m older than you are.
I'm 65 years old. I love this fashion advice. Thank you.
It’s unfortunate, ladies our age should be aggressively marketed. We’re mostly financially stable, are comfortable in our own skin ( confident), and desire to look beautiful , because we are ladies.
Great tips, I appreciate you as being an advocate for us, rocking it at every age.
Thanks C.F. Habs! I really appreciate your comment...Have a beautiful weekend ❤️
I don't think we should be aggressively marketed . Be comfortable . Not every 50 plus gal will feel comfy in frigging skinny jeans on a sweltering hot day . Take the ' aggressively ' out .!
Why is it after age forty that they think we want to look like our mothers and grandmother's
C.F. Habs that’s so true
9:23 i agree with you its timeless pattern but one problem its sometimes widen the person so better to be vertical lines than horizontal
This is such fun info. Since gaining menopausal weight, I've learned that dressmakers must think an overweight woman should be publically humiliated with horribly styled clothes.
Yes!! Exactly!
Yes I agree..you still want to look as attractive and even dare I say sexy as you might feel on the inside. It definitely feels like styles out there are trying to wear people over 45 out.
I cannot get over the larger clothes with the bright, huge flowers on them.
Exactly 100 percent.
Exactly.

Hello Brenda
I took your advice and bought new jeans to replace my old, outdated styles I've had for years. WOW! I bought a pair of skinny jeans in a proper size and I feel decades younger! I added a pair of Ralph Lauren skinny jeans in white and tossed everything else. I wore white sneakers when I was a teen. It's delightful to know I can wear them again and not be laughed at. Helen Mirren is my fashion muse - she's only a few years older than I am and always looks fresh and attractive, never dowdy or frumpy. Thanks for this video.

Hi Anna Collier! Thanks so much for watching...Stay fabulous 💕

Hi Schellea, even the women in their 70's and 80's don't like a lot of the fashion styles out there, I've spoken to a few. I've since cleaned out my wardrobe of the 'undesirables' as I did the pattern test and yes it does tend to make me look years older! Thanks xxx

Gayle Westney yes mine are too ,they take things out of my hands when we go shopping and say “No Mum, you’re not 89 yet!”

Love, love, love that you've done this channel. I look at least a decade younger and have been trying to find some beautiful fashions age appropriate. Only thing to suggest is that vertical stripes are more flattering to shorter figures than the horizontal. Thank you so much for making it so easy.
Thanks for your channel it helps, God bless you 😊
If it's one of your favourite tops, experiment with wearing it with skinny jeans (dark denim, white or a matching pale colour within the pattern) and sneakers with it before you ditch a favourite? Can you put a tie belt round it, roll the sleeves up if it has them, (just below the elbow is flattering and feminine) put a chunky necklace or bracelet with it? If all fails, keep it for gardening/decorating in. Don't let fashion deprive you of a favourite that makes you feel good please...
There is nothing wrong with being petite or short. I hate when people think that it’s a bad thing. I’m 5’0 and proud of it. I am who I am
I’m 64 addressing old. My sister says I have to update my clothing. I’m glad I found your video. It certainly helps. Looking forward to some more videos to update my wardrobe and style.

I just found you today! You are literally an answer to my prayers ; ) Thank you for helping us young older women with make up and clothes. I have been lost and confused in this department for about 5 yrs. You are shedding light. {Hugs}

The before look is the "I've totally given up" look. Age should never be a deterrent to looking classically fabulous .
To be honest with you have that heart ❤️ touching smile 😊 and you are very gorgeous looking young.
I love your channel because you always provide practical advice that I can actually use in my day-to-day life. Your tip about investing in quality basics was a game-changer for me - I used to be all about fast fashion, but now I see the value in investing in pieces that will last. Thanks for helping me level up my style!
