- So i got my hands onto Crash 3 Alpha build. In this video i collected some differences and bugs that i encountered while briefly playing this build, hope you will find this video interesting
Original build has protection, so, if you don't have special memory card plugged in, it will crash on "Universal Studios" logo. ISO on link below is patched to skip legal screens and load straight to warp room

If you're bit confused about some things, I'll say:
This is a Crash 2 engine.
Purgatory theme
You are missing some more things:
- Gone Tomorrow has a Purple Gem Path
- Tomb Time has an alternate path
- Sphynxinator (Sphynxter in this build) has the green gem path
Yeah, basically, I missed everything related to bonus, time trials (and 6th warp room) and alternate paths.
Also Time Trials automatically subtract the time instead of freezing the clock.
I want to see negative clock time
My memory is not too great on WRs but I think a place that could happen is Hot Coco but I think it's low time is the clock being frozen for extended periods of time...but perhaps it could warrant the same time? Although if it's at any point in the run and assuming nothing's changed, the first two boxes in Sphinxinator might do the trick.
I am honestly curious to see if the subtraction changes the times obtained all that much.

Ironically, Coco's alpha icon was the one used in N.Sane Trilogy.
Answer is much easier than you think, tho you never asked a question. They took icons from Pause Menu.
First the Sonic CD early 1992 build and now the alpha Crash 3 build.

Love how the load/save screen recycles screenshots from Crash 2.
They are built from the same engine so it makes sense

Also both N.Gin and N.Cortex are missing because they had to be redesigned due to the fact that the boss fight with N.Gin was glitched in the way that Coco did not have any health left and Pura would not join in with the phase 2 fight whereas Cortex had to be redone due to the fact that a) it had crash 2 designs and b) that you were designed to get a crystal (which was the possible reason why Bug Lite was rumored to be a gem only level with the final crystal being in Cortex and Uka Uka's posession)

Why though? CB2 released exactly 1 year prior. They had most of the stuff done at this point. Sure some things are missing but most of the game is there already as I see it. I'd say they worked on it for another month and a half and then started to press cd's.

Its pretty interesting to see the rough draft Naughty Dog had of CB3 and how they changed it to make the final product.

Those icons of the characters when you stand on the buttons are used in the final game, only in the Japanese version.
Where did this Alpha version come from all of a sudden ? First time I've heard of this when BetaM posted his gameplay.
Probably Mike J Mika dumped it and put it on the internet.
It was dumped the same time as the December 1992 prototype of sonic cd

I guess they wasn't able to make boss more clear. If you have to die few times to get what boss does, it's a bad boss.

Might be a dumb question to ask but, is it normal for the game to not be able to read my memory card (it just keeps trying to read it infinitely) since that card has saves from the retail build? I'm wondering if that affects it.
I'm having FPS trouble for some reason, it gets really high sometimes and the music is always downtempo. Any ideas of how to fix this in ePSXe 2.0.2-1? I'm compiling a list of differences with screenshots, i finished the same job with CTR beta already (tons of differences)

I have question, what about the neodyne systems? Which I saw on crashmania site for unofficial guide.
It was probably changed so that it's not so close to "Cyberdyne Systems" from the Terminator movies. The cyborg henchman factory from the secret warp room is clearly inspired by the famous Terminator 2 trailer that showed a Terminator robot factory.
One thing I'd noticed on the prototype collwctin the crystal and Gem it sounded like a 1up like on crash 2 but then makes thay nice sound thats a difference
Level 4 is Dino Might! Instead of Bone Yard and vice-versa.
Level 5 is Aye Matey instead of Makin' Waves.
Hi NeoKesha, is the rusty walrus 3d model available in the extracted files? I mean I can't find it, there are so many, maybe you've got a list which links the file name with the entity name nah? Anyway thanks in advance!

1) Convert Crash 3 assets into intermediate format
2) Convert intermediate format to NST Format
3) Put it into NST
The portals open differently in the N. Sane Trilogy than they do in the final release of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. I liked Warped’s portals better.

Hey man,whats happen to twinsanity editor?why nobody are making mods to crash twinsanity?(or custom levels)
Basically: i got tired of development, stuck on few things and etc. Then site went down by technical reasons and i have seen no reason to get it up. Editor remake based on my code (TE is written on fucking Visual Basic .Net and full of baddest code) better, has few new good features, more reliable but suddenly useless - a lot of features was cut, like all textures, models export and import with textures, level map, etc etc.
So, legacy Twinsanity Editor is unstable and not suited for support and development. Neo Twinsanity Editor is fancy but lacks few good important features.
And also it was very hard to mod Twinsanity more than just replacement of object. There was no visual editor like in Unity, you had to place objects manually, manipulating numbers and etc. Seen my Makron mod video? That was amazing, but that took me whole day for that little thingie.
So pretty much that.

There was something on reddit. You need to make some variation of Konami code in pause menu in warp room. Tho nothing too fascinating
@@NeoKesha really? only cam moving? (Its all the stuff i found) thas is bad i like to see debug codes like L1+triangle make crash invincible R2+L1 give all powers some like that but looks like only the alpha of the firts game have that debug codes
@@NeoKesha well i read the article in hidden palace and i better only play the alpha of the firts game, the beta of the second game is like the final version, and crash 3 is my less favorite (i don't like it but i don't hate it yet) of the trilogy (ps1 and n sane trilogy) so i don't play it

[SOLVED = Wrong Sound Plugin] I needed help, coz i could swear in the final releases, whenever you paused the game, the music would either get lower or stop entirely, now i tested both PAL and NTSC versions on ePSXe and that doesn't happen, the music keeps playing, just like in the Alpha, can anyone confirm that was never a feature?
I remembered it stopping. Could be from usage on a ps2 vs ps1?
@@toinejaktheonly6082 a friend helped me fix it already, thak you! The problem was the audio plugin of ePSXe, now the music pauses even on the Alpha Demo Disc.

There are nothing special about it, moment when you exit warp room is exact what would happen without skip
I've gotten into the Naughty Dog screen at best with that way you describe until it crashing - but if we would have the dongle which protects it in some form, the original unpatched one would do its things without needing any patching. And I see that it should be preserved as-is as well, not just the modified patched one. Plus there could be MOAR DIFFERENCES

Caveman Lab Assistant riding the triceratops although this level is in South America Triceratops only found in North America not in South America and early humans are not yet until the Ice Age.
The cavemen actually were a nice detail man...
