Audi RS6 - Test Drive & Review (2002)

- Jonathan Green takes to the road in Audi's RS6 looking closely at performance and design. The RS6 sports a 4.2 litre V8 engine that produces 450 BHP, does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 180 MPH.
I recently rescued one from the hands of a kid that let it go and couldn’t maintain it. Needs a bit of work to get her back to her glory days state, and although I had absolutely no more room at the house for an additional car (3 car garage and 7 cars prior to RS6), and a wife that has had enough, I couldn’t resist. Only 860 made it across the pond, how could I say no.
This design aged very well, avant especially!
You never see the rs6 as a saloon these days it's always a estate
Ian Townsend Lucky you. As someone who lives in the U.S. I envy you. All we got was the sedan, which I still love. But nothing can top an RS Avant for me
Saw one today, actually. Gave it a good run in my friend's GTI but that thing was OUT as soon as we cleared traffic!
the estate is not only more practical, it's cooler to have a fast estate
2:35 HAHAHAHA
i love my rs6
Has it had a gearbox rebuild?
@@simonwright6163 no
Same
SW 90 gearbox has NEVER been the issue, it’s been the torque converter that cannot handle the power.
"Unlikely to be as reliable" Guys,i got few friends who purchased one of these and it almost ruined the family budget. Superb performance and high techs does NOT mean reliability. Learn that.
S.T T. oh yeah like what problems and what was the cost?
Common problems are gearbox failure, suspension components, intercooler, exhaust, sensors, nightmare.
If you get one that wasn’t treated correctly then yes but treat these cars well and they will be reliable!
4.7 sec to 60 with 450 hp and AWD yikes must be that old 5 speed
rs
Be as RELIABLE hahahahahaha
