This video just proved how often we mistake fake politeness for genuine interest.

If someone doesn’t like you, don’t worry too much, because you weren’t born to please everyone in the world!

*Recognizing when someone dislikes what you’re saying, yet chooses to hide it, is a powerful skill rooted in keen observation and emotional intelligence. Stoic philosophy teaches us that understanding these subtle signs is not about judging others, but about navigating conversations with greater awareness and respect. When you notice their gaze shifting, forced smiles, tense body language, or quick responses, these may be indicators of concealed discomfort. Instead of taking offense, practice patience and curiosity, allowing space for honest dialogue. This awareness lets you adapt, refine your words, and communicate more effectively, not to please everyone but to foster respect and understanding. By observing these subtle cues, you elevate your conversations and cultivate a level of self-awareness that speaks volumes about your character.*

As I've grown over time I found that people can be so full of s*** until it really doesn't matter how they feel about me and what matters is how I feel about myself and I just try to keep my head up and continue to keep a level head and not sweat the small stuff because life is too short.

Sometimes they behave that way because they don't believe what one is saying. Talking over one is domination. It's expression to silence one and what one has to say.

As the speaker you need to understand that there are many reasons why listeners would tune out. Not everyone is aginst you or uninterested. Possibly the are distracted with a personal situation, have some trauma/social disorder. As the speaker...use these ques to understand your listener

Many people are hollow so if you are talking about anything of substance they could just be thinking about themselves. Too many narcissistic types in the world

What if someone is multitasking, listening and at the same time snacking or sewing?
