Fly fishing for trout should be a simple affair and this no-nonsense dry fly, the DHE or Deer Hair Emerger, is an easy yet super-effective pattern.
For early season work on the river it takes some beating, it'll work on wild waters too bringing fish up from deep in most conditions.
Hook: Hanak Buzzer size 10 to 16
Thread: Brown
Rib: Tying thread
Body: Veniard Stickle Dub, Natural
Thorax: Veniard Stickle Dub, Natural & Spectra 32

Will tie some tonight Steve, only just started tying and using Deer hair. I am after creating some Mayfly patterns so will do some colour variants of that. Cheers.
