Very interesting video mate
Thank you! Are you going to try and tie it up?
@@SpiritFlyExpeditions yes, I'm looking to tie some deer hair mouse for wolf fish here in Argentina. Maybe I will upload the video for my channel.
@@oldsmugglerflyfishing definitely let me know if you do! I’d love to see that 👍
😊
Even though they look great 👍 it's a lot of work to get to the point of you got it to work out for maybe a good enough one
Thanks! It only seems like a lot of work lol I promise, with a normal razor blade you would be able to trim the head MUCH FASTER. I just wanted to show everyone it’s still possible with an unusual tool like a shaver 😂
I have never heard of "standard size" foam. How many mm thick is it?
Yeah I didn’t know until I made this video lol when I purchased this foam I noticed they had “extra thin” foam sheets next to it. I assume it’s for flies like foam wing emergers 🤷🏽♂️
What thickness is the foam?
I’m not sure. Unfortunately the package did not specify. If I had to guess I think it may be 6mm
What an awkward way to trim the hair! Using a flexible double edge blade is SO much faster and allows better control.
LOL yeah it is! But it gets the job done. Normally I would just use a single razor. I didn’t know they made flexible ones! 🤔 I’ll definitely give that a try, thanks! 👍
The old-fashioned double edged blades. You can hold it by the sides and flex it into a curve to cut.
@@rlwkirsch oh I see what you’re saying. Good tip! 👍
