I am so addicted to the celestite colour you got. I decided to pre-order it after watching your review. That is how convincing and magic your review is.
In Canada, Toyota offers heated steering wheel and wiper defrost option but not in the USA. Also, in USA heated seats only on the XSE/XLE trims. These heated futures would be nice to have during those cold winter months, so it would be nice if Toyota offered them in USA
I had no idea about the psychological effect on the colour blue as a background for reading displays lol. That's really interesting. I can't believe this car has a huge waitlist here in Vancouver. Im hoping to get one early next year. Thanks for your review! Finally a Canadian spec'd Corolla review
Nice review bro. I just traded in my mustang ecoboost for the 2020 Corolla hybrid. Sacrificed performance and handling for practicality and fuel economy. Picked it up last week, and fuel economy is out the door. Literally 1000km distance to empty, averaging 3.8 - 4.3l / 100 km. Very impressed. Didnt have the budget to upgrade to premium package, but if I could I would. Nonetheless, loving the new ride.
How do you like the Hybrid? My worry is the on highway acceleration. Any insight? I'm looking at getting 2020 Corolla Hybrid after my 2005 LE took a Semi to the side and had to be written off. I want that premium package but for 2k? Not sure it offers enough to warrant it. Like you said, it also makes it a little out of budget.
@@b1_ferg hey Bryan, so far the hybrid is perfect for my commute. I drive my kids to school and for other errands, and the mustang wasn't cutting out for that. The minivan was practical, but it's a gas guzzler. Highway driving is actually decent. When you want to pass, you'll need to time it and mash the pedal. But I wouldn't worry about the highway / merging issues. If you have the extra $2k to spend, I'd say get the leather seats. Well, I have kids and spilling drinks and snacks on leather is much easier to clean than on cloth. Also take a look into the 2020 Prius prime. Provincial and federal incentives on rebates, and it is now a 5 seater instead of a 4 seater. But best bang for the buck is the Corolla hybrid at $24k imo.
You're a funny guy and your review was entertaining and informative. Best 2020 Corolla Hybrid review I have seen bar-none (I've watched 12 today). Thanks for your work. Subscribed 😁
it's allow wheel behind, because you can see the break from the pillers, there will not be pillers for steel wheels. also the US model has bigger wheel too, and less expensive.
Unfortunately, the newly redesigned 2020 Corolla has gotten more expensive than the previous model. But of course, it has a lot more technology that come standard
Thanks for your honest review. I have a 2019 Corolla SE upgraded package and was thinking of getting the hybrid model but will keep my 2019 Corolla SE now. I get 8.0L/100km on it. Approximately, 510 km on a full tank. When I drive highway only, I can pull 540 km off my Corolla.
The hybrid has alloy wheels behind the plastic wheel covers. I dont know why Toyota does that, but all of the Prius' have plastic wheel covers over alloy wheels, too. Just drop the plastic covers, and make the alloy wheels more attractive.
@coldStart, Hybrid doesnt have rims, because you want to maximize fuel efficiency and weight. The whole point is saving money. My SuV cost me fuel cost of $5000 a year. My Hybrid Prius cost me $600 to $1800 a year to operate.
Are you sure it is leather seat? Toyota said they don’t have the leather yet. Where you get from? I am looking for the leather seat one but I still can’t find. How can I get the leather set?
@@ColdStart NOT AVAILABLE IN US ))): BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS PREMIUM UPGRADE WITH THE WIRELESS CHARGING PAD AS WELL and every dealership is telling me it's only available in standard LE version
@@baklava9040 Toyota will probably add some options in the future USA Corolla hybrid. Toyota is adding hybrid versions to each of their models, so eventually most Toyotas will be either hybrid or PHEV or full EV. They are leaving the other auto makers in the dust when it comes to improving fuel economy. Adding an electric motor to an ICE is a great way to boost performance, reduce emissions and improve gas mileage. Too bad Toyota will not sell the Corolla hybrid Touring Sports (station wagon) in North America....maybe afraid it would reduce sales of the RAV4. In Europe you can get the hybrid Corolla with a 2.0L engine. Power and economy. Check out www.toyota-europe.com/new-cars/ to see Toyota vehicles and various engines we do not get in USA. 🙂
Me too but hybrid you save almost half gas a year, almost 10k saving over 5-6 yrs on gas, so you actually pay less for the car in that sense if do the math.
Don’t care for the tablet screen sticking up. Wish it was integrated into the dash. It’s distracting and actually blocks a bit of window. So glad that hybrids are starting to come into the average car buyer’s budget. This one is still a few thousand too much for us (especially due to the high interest rates), but I hope we might be able to get one in the next few years. Our governments should be giving us huge $incentives to purchase green technology. Instead, they promote dinosaur tech cars that are destroying life on our planet. Shame on them.

You can take those hubcaps off to reveal the rims behind it.

Isn't it a 3-4months wait-time for Corolla Hybrid 2020. Lots of dealers don't have inventories for this model.

Nice job as always dudes!
The US version doesn't have a lot of those things
I noticed that trunk area also, weeks ago~Where it didn't appeared finished😝what is up with that's??
It does have alloy wheels under those covers. Same ones as the Prius.
It has nice alloy wheels under the caps.

There is a nice set of alloy wheels under those plastic hubcaps.
Just saw a review where the guy took off the hubcaps and found there were nice alloy wheels under. Give that a try. BTW, drop the awful music.

It does that because of aerodinamics (in hybrid cars)
Great review! What was the mpg at the end?
Galip Şanlıtürk 52-70mpg depending on how you drive it
52 MPG in city and 53 MPG in highway. I just brought one 2021 option premium one. That is why I knew it. Thanks.
The way he takes the paper out is somebody winning the luck pot.
I feel that Corolla hybrid up with gas once a month. (I drive like 20 miles a day, almost every day). AMAZING CAR! PROBLEM FREE CAR! :-)

I don't think slightly bigger wheels would make that big of a difference
i needed to hear more about ride and NVH over typically cratered rural and small town roads.
$28,000 CAD is $20,749 USD I need to buy one from Canada!
Add 13% tax and other admin+freight fees.
@@416nighthawk 😂🤣😅😭 everything you buy in Canada is kind of a rip-off
Got the LE $22k Canadian out the door..
I have hybrid made in 2015 from Toyota, it says 50MPG, but I was able to get 117MPG, and highest I got 150mpg.
Yes, I noticed that area in the trunk.....would keep me from getting it.😛

100%! The leather is the premium package that I mentioned in the beginning. $2000 CAD additional

full size spare tire? regular gas or premium?
It doesn't come with a spare tire and you use regular gas.
But the LE hybrid price is $22,950 in the USA! Why $28,000 in Canada? Maybe more options added?
LOL. $28,000 Canadian Dollars

Still missing Android Auto
the Australian version has got a pathetic seat; huge cost cutting exercise.
too bad it doesn't have android auto.. dealbreaker.
