I hope you'll like it. It really started to shine when i loaded my own samples onto it. Stack sounds are nice but it can be more than that. I wish you a lot of fun with it!
@@Orbit_Eternal Do you mean longer vocal samples? Because to me a vocal sample isn't much different from other samples when i'm using it in a sampling device.
Thank you! I'm sorry but it's a cool little fun box. :) On the other hand it's just a sample player with a nice sequencer and some knobs. Nothing new really.
Excellent demo! Frankly one of if not the best EM:S video on UA-cam! So I'm in need of a new "drum machine" / "groovebox" in my set-up to go with my synths and I'm hesitating between the two 'Elektron Model' (and others), so if I may ask you a question: is this jam made with original songs from the box or did you add your own samples? These sounds are amazing, and I'm looking for something with neat sounds out of the box to compose and tweak fater than on my MPC. Thanks a lot!
Thsnks a lot! The stock samples are pretty good but i'm always using my own samoles. I sometimes do sample sessions and run synths and drum machines through fx boxes. The preset sounds are clean and punchy but i don't know if they fit your style. Mostly bread and butter sounds. But sometimes that's just what you need to add to a beat.
I knew this was coming:) Thank you and great jam!! Seems like a great groove box for the price with the features and great sounding effects built in. But can it drone? Haha, cheers!
:D I'm loving it. It's not much different from a Digitakt and a midi controller but it's all in one box. And the step buttons feel much nicer. How's your experience with it so far?
@@kablehead Agreed. The Digitakt is much more but there is something about this box. I have never owned a Rytm so being able to smash the buttons on an Elektron box is nice.
Nice beats. Can you program an entire 3-4min song on this? I mean program it all and stand back and watch while it plays, so that I can spend time on the keyboards instead.
That's too bad, I was really interested until I heard that. Companies seem to be making things exclusively for performance. It should not be that hard to save a chain of patterns as a song. :(
@@ianwilson7637 Yeah, i also don't know why they're leaving out real song modes nowadays. It doesn't bother me that much as i use this box mainly for jamming but it would be nice to have the option to save a song.
I would maybe start with a free software program and see how you like it first. But all in all i think the Model:Samples is one of the easiest sampleboxes to learn. And one of the most fun ones too.
Sometimes it's good because it forces you to keep it simple and don't clutter up the beat. As a drum sampler it's enough for me but for more complex tracks i could use a bit more. That's why i have a Digitakt as well. But you can also use different samples on each step with the model:samples. So you can use more than 6 sounds for one beat.
@@jafarex I have to add that the model:samples is the instrument i would take on a lonely island if i only could bring one piece of gear with me. It's not my favorite one, has some flaws but i love working with samples and i think it's the samplebox with the most knobs. Very hands on. 6 tracks with different samples for every step, lfo's, motion recording, etc... Enough creative space for the rest of my life. :) But i also have to add that somehow the overall feel of the buttons and knobs felt pretty good at first but after playing it for a while i think the calibration of the encoders is a bit too slow on some parameters. You have to spin it around quite a bit sometimes. It doesn't feel as tight as a MPC. The same with the pads. They feel a bit wonky. All in all though, great freaking little box. :)
The best sounding and most interesting Elektron Model Samples jam that I've heard. Nice timing of the groove also.
Thank you very much!
Finally! A video with a real tune instead of endless talking! Thank you!
:D Thank you! Glad you dig it.
Best jam I've seen on this thing so far.
Thank you!
I don’t need a new elektron I don’t need a new elektron I don’t need a new elektron I don’t need a new elektron I don’t need a new elektron ....... ;)
:D I don't need it either. I just wanted it. :) Poor little devices that i have to sell to fund it.
you can sample yourself saying that and put a beat to it when you buy that new elektron ;P
Unts Unts Unts Unts
@@reallivebluescat i totally agrre, you just gave me the best reason ^^

This is so great! I've just bought one
Thank you! Best bang for buck groovebox. Have fun with it!
@@kablehead Thanks :)
Very nice indeed, you've shown how you can this thing to sing (and swing) even though it plays only 6 tracks. Love the timing on the drums, too.
Thank you very much!
Got mine a couple weeks ago. Fun box, still scratching the surface. Just started putting my own samples in.
Very very cool jam/set ! and a very interesting machine for this
Thanks a lot man! Glad you like it.
Nice! Some pretty lush sounds for 6 tracks
Thank you!
That was friggin' phenomenal!! Very monotonous and suggestive. Love how you ended it as well. Very skillful use of the M:S!!
Thank you very much for the kind words!
Awesome!
Ya really good. My favourite demo I've seen so far - I guess I do have to get the one they have at the shop
Thank you very much!
I always wanted a knob-per-function sampler and this one is really dope.
sounds awesome, great work.
Thanks a lot man!
Dope gloves..... and cool groove!
:) Thanks man!
so sick
Thanks!
That was so tight!

Thank you Nattysaurus Flex! Great name btw.

Awesome job! Particularly cool when you hit the loop(?) button on the whole track

Just ordered a used one! Should come this week! Tech question(s): where are your left/right outputs going? Are each of those mono cables?
Yes, both mono. They go into the left and right channel of my soundcard.
Really nice!

@@sk69to96 You're welcome! Feel free to ask if you have more questions.
Just a heads up its not actually a sampler. It cant actually sample anything. So you’ll need a computer and software to go with it
