I love stuffed acorn squash. I fill mine with some sausage, hominy and onions and bake it till the squash is tender. I will have to try it in the air fryer
My mom makes her meat loaf with carrots, onions, green and red bell peppers, an egg and bread crumbs. Then she seasons it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and prepreka.
Are you using Dreo at all? After your video I was wondering if I should buy it. Can you comment on whether to buy or not? I notice you went back to Cosori
Hey! I have like 8 air fryers in my pantry (lol) and most often just use what most people have. The DREO I like to use for solid cuts of protein (steak, chops, chicken...). I have another DREO ChefMaker video coming in about 2 weeks, so that may help you decide?
Hi! Love this episode! Now I'll overcrowd certain items knowing they will shrink during cooking! Question! Our older model does NOT allow us to use without basket (the recalled one) but your little one and others I've seen DO let you!?
Hi! YES any air fryer that just has a tray that can be removed will work. But I do love the Cosori removable basket to make "dumping" the food onto a plate so much easier!
Ooh yes, there's a blue fleshed potato too isn't there? Only thing I could come up with was the aubergine*, more black really and only on the outside too. *I think you chaps call it eggplant btw 👍
Great recipes! I will try a few. Your editing was noticeable with the taste testers! The taste testers are key to helping make the decision to try a recipe if you are feeding kids, so - this is appreciated. Good luck with your live zoom class monthly. That also sounds great for those who need the speed reduced. I am good with quick viewing usually, but might check it out.
Hi, I have a question for you, we have a brand new Airfryer, the Russell Hobbs Satisfry XXL, and with that you can change the height of the insert, that floor that sits a bit higher so the oil and fat can drip to the bottom and you can optionally raise it like half of the basket. Should I ever use that? Or would that mess too much with the receipts because the food would be way too close to the grill part on the top? What do you think?
Hmm, haven't heard of that one. But listen to your gut, moving it closer to the burner will possibly burn it before it's cooked all the way through. Hopefully they have a guide or some recipes to give examples of when to raise it higher?
Another great reason to love that acorn squash recipe exactly the way it is in the video: If you're the only one in your family who likes acorn squash - as is my situation - then you can enjoy your meat and veggies with your squash and serve the rest over pasta or rice for the rest of the family. I'm looking forward to trying this! (And, as always, Olivia stole the show, and Hailey is going to be a great mom, if she isn't already, because she has clearly learned from the best!) I've been looking for a new twist on avocado toast, and that avocado & egg sandwich looks like just the ticket! This one's another recipe just for me, because the rest of the family doesn't care for avocado. (No, I'm not the wife in my family. My wife and daughter are just very picky eaters.) Blue veggie? Try a blue creamer potato! They're small, they really are blue (and should stay blue in the air fryer, although they won't if you boil them) and when cooked to perfection, they're very creamy and flavorful. I plan to try the other recipes shown here as well; maybe when I'm having some guests over, or maybe the wife and daughter will just have to not eat the vegetables they don't like. 😆 Thank you so much for sharing these!
Ha ha! Thanks for the tips. I agree wholeheartedly... always nice to use the air fryer to whip something up that I love that the rest of the fam won't eat!
Does anyone else know why I can’t get the eggshells to release even after the ice bath? I tend to lose a lot of the egg “meat” as it sticks to the shell! Thoughts?🙏🏻
@@empoweredcooks only had 6 weeks or so and not used much eitheras quite often I just pour in a small amount and mix in. But where I need to spray it's not a fine spray. 🤔
Hello. How can I contact you regarding an order I placed for your air fryer recipe book and have been charged but have not received any emails regarding my order.
Hey there! Please send an email to hello@empoweredcooks.com and Haley will help you! If you haven't received any emails about your order, I suspect your email address was transposed during the order process.
@empoweredcooks Hello I have sent an email as directed. I am wondering if you have more than 1 site as the site I followed from a link in 1 of your videos is not the same as the one listed above and it made me create an account but does not let me go past the main page.
I want an air fryer soooo bad!! 😭 I have bought 4 and have had to return each one. It's the plastic smell I can't get past. It stinks up my house and I can taste it on my food. I bought a Gormia, 2 different Power XL, and a cuisenart. I did everything they say to do. I ran it for 20 minutes several times (outside) I cooked greasy food. I washed everything I could reach. And I cooked several things before I returned them. I hated throwing the food away, but I couldn't get past the smell. I have been looking at an Ninja oven (which I know you don't like the ovens) but I'm just really wanting one. I'm thinking maybe it's the nonstick smell on the basket ones. Does anyone else experience that? Maybe it's just my sense of smell. Some people can get past it, but I can't. Do yall still smell and taste the plastic and it just doesn't bother you?
I have a Phillips, not the most fanciest but it more than does the trick. Never noticed any smell at all. And currently using one here in Thailand that is a local brand and it hasn't ever smelt either. Plus it was really cheap-- less than US$30. I' ve even made carrot and banana cakes in it.
Yummy stuff! I always mix everything in a bowl, then put a silicon basket in the fryer and parchment paper in that. Clean up is a snap.
Love the smaller size recipes…Usually just my boyfriend and I…Thanks so much!!😘
You are so welcome!
Thank you for doing these small batch recipes ❤
Hope you enjoy!
It's just me and my hubby so I absolutely love these recipes. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤ ❤❤
My grandmother stuffed her meatloaf with bread stuffing, like thanksgiving turkey. So good and made the best meatloaf sandwiches.
Very interesting recipes, thank you. I never thought of cooking meatloaf in my air fryer. I'll have to give it a try. Thank you again.
YES it's yummy!

Thanks for reminding me to generously season my food. My cooking has definitely improved after watching your videos. Love my Cosori dual blaze!
Yay!! So glad to hear that!
These are great ideas. Thank you!
I love your air fryer recipes I'm actually getting your cookbook from Amazon next month.
I’ll try the acorn squash recipe but omit the marinara. I think it would be good without the added sauce.
Awesome 👍
some great ideas 🍽🍴
Which unit would you recommend for a college student?
Haley had this one at college and loved it! amzn.to/3S2pUov - I am pretty sure this is the one I used in recipes 4 and 5 of this video.
@@empoweredcooks Thank you.
I’ll take the sacrificial egg 🥚 YUM 😋

I ordered your cookbook and waiting for it to get here.🤗

Can we use a silicone ‘basket’ or oven safe dish?????

@francine - yes you can!
I really love your videos and I love you too
I think the rainbow carrots are good.😅 Yes, purple but close to blue when cooked maybe..that recipe was so yummy!! Love veggies!

Oh yes! I did see those baby potatoes!❤
There are blue potatoes but you can only find it on the Navajo reservation in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.
Hello- do you have a link for the gloves you used making the meatloaf? Thanks

I would add blue potatoes. 🥔
Didn't think of that! FUN!
Dou have any highbp approved meals
Blue Kale
I've never heard of that!
I bought that same oil sprayer but mine sprays nothing like yours Cathy, mine comes out in a stream. Bought from amazon. Maybe it's technique😂😂
Oh bummer! I wonder if you just have a defective one. How long have you had it?
@@empoweredcooks only had 6 weeks or so and not used much eitheras quite often I just pour in a small amount and mix in. But where I need to spray it's not a fine spray. 🤔
Due to some oil, their thickness may be the reason. I use Avocado oil and need to add a little water. I just shake it before spraying.
You can grow blue carrots
Oh smart! Yes!
@@empoweredcooks or in fact you could use any white vegetable with blue food dye

Just never thought raw chicken is safe to mix with veggies that way.
You just don't mix raw and cooked meat.

What happened to the kielbasa? Lol
It was yummy!
It wasn't in your video but you used chicken instead even tho the title said kielbasa.

Bummer - sorry to hear that! Which one was it?
Amateurish
Did you really put oatmeal in your meatloaf? Too gross!
They’ve done that for years a) stretch food b) instead of bread or crumbs giving extra fiber and tenderness 👍✅💥
Yes! Holds it all together nicely, super yummy and healthier! :)
That's all we ever use as the filler. You don't even know it's oats once it cooks. The prize-winning recipe was on the Quaker Oats box for years.
I’m sorry my stomach rolled over here.. probably really good . Have ulcers. Too much 😮
