I grew up in Royal Oak but remember riding the trolley to Hudson's downtown with my mom, going to Palmer park to skate with my dad, and unfortunetly the riots, and all the other problems that plagued Detroit. About 5 years ago we took our Gkids downtown stayed at Rencen had a great time, it's exciting watching the D being reborn again and reclaiming the title of the Paris of the Midwest
@@thebestchannel5456 ,I live in nearby Lafayette Park, we love it, great housing,, we have a 19th floor corner glass unit, incredible city/ river views unparalled, great neighbors, parks, dequindre cut, meijers, pro sports, 10 minute walk to Eastern Market, walk to everything downtown, riverfront….Always so funny, we think we have it the best….love them all.
So amazing how Brush Park has been reborn. Did you know it was once called the Little Paris because of all of the amazing mansions there? There were literally hundreds of them at one time. The few remain are exquisite examples of what they were like. Shame so few survived. Shame the new buildings hardly tip a hat to the 'hood's original style. Some of the new buildings there are the same cookie cutter stuff you see in all major cities and have the personality of an Ikea end table. Still, new growth is better than none! Kudos
We love living in Lafayette Park, walk to everything, meijers is right behind us. 5 minutes to the riverfront, our 19th floor corner unit co op, all glass incredible view of city ,especially at night,,unparalleled views, door person, package handling clerk too. , bike / walking paths, restaurants, culture, Never any worries.
hahah true. That is the name of the Liquor Store. But it is a cool spot, they have a bar that you can hang at, some groceries etc. Bodega = FANCY Party Store. LMAO fair point.

Have you seen the Hudson site in the past couple weeks?! The new buildings are insane!
Brush Park and Corktown are the two best neighborhoods in Detroit. If I had the money I would move to to either one.
Don't forget Indian Village ....Palmer Woods etc
Those are tried and true areas, so stunning. Stay tuned for more content on those!

I actually liked Woodward place the best of the showings.
It’s a great location with awesome units!
Good up-beat job, but you need to show inside!
Thanks! We usually do but didn’t in this edit. We will add that moving forward. Thanks!
Are they going to build on that big vacant lot in the beginning?
Not sure if there are plans currently. But it is a great lot so I am sure they will eventually. Seems inevitable!
Why didn’t you mention the Cochran House on Winder right next door to 234 Winder
That is a good one!
Should have done this on a sunny day
Yeah, I work like 70 hour weeks and do a lot of non-profit work. Schedules are not always that easy lol. Thanks for the view!
