My grandma lived in Palmer Park on Ponchartrain in the 80’s 90’s and 2000’s! I knew I recognized this house! Used to pass it all the time on the way to visit her. I miss her dearly🥰 It is a beautiful neighborhood. Funny, tho…not even a block away you find yourself in the hood of Highland Park.
Start telling the viewers the real about the areas these homes are in. Yes it’s golf course behind it, buts it’s crackheads 500ft down the street in highland park low income apartment community across the street. Make it interesting
A beautiful home that was renovated through the years by someone that didn't know what they were doing. Hopefully, someone that has some knowledge about historical architecture can bring it back to it's former glory.
The amount of renovations needed is ridiculous. I noticed major roof and wall damage. Major water issues. The tiles on the roof are irreplaceable. Electrical and insulation questionable. It would cost 3million above the asking price to renovate and make presentable
That's my old stomping grounds, I've recently found out a lot of the folks that lived in that area was passing to say the least. The government said it not me, I've seen family & government documents back in slavery & Jim Crow times that whites wrote to back it up 💯.
Back in the Mid-70s when I was growing up in the University District this was on my Free Press paper route up to the Detroit Golf Course but this house did not receive that paper 😒
My grandmother lived on Ponchartrain from as early as I can remember til her passing in 2009. The homes and the neighborhood were amazing! I’m glad to see the upkeep.

My grandma lived on Pontchartrain so I know exactly what you’re talking about lol
If we lost this much in 100 years, imagine what we’ve lost since the pyramids.
Wild to think about.

Painted the pool area during a renovation about 25 years ago
yeah not sure. There have been many changes through the years I am sure.
Unique opportunity for a grand home. Looks like buyer would need to make $500,000 in upgrades and have $200,000 for decoration and furniture.
Depends on how much historical items you would want to keep. Many owners choose to keep the historical relevance in these types of properties.
WOW!!!!!!!!!
Cool property right?!
Love the sunken living room
I agree! I always say if I build a custom house I want a step down into a living space. That is such a cool feature.

Beautiful house but weird landscaping!
Yeah might use a little TLC. It is a lot of house to take care of!
Imagine walking through looking at all that damage then them telling you 1.9 lol
Can you imagine walking through a house for a showing without knowing the price first? That would be a rare one.
I admire large old houses like this from the curb but I really think they have limited appeal today.
Yeah it is a lot of house. You need a big family and many friends.
Palmer Woods is the absolute best neighborhood in Detroit
One of our favorites too! Many thanks for the follow.

Finnish Showing The Damn House Okay Stop Running Your Mouth
The commentary is the best part
Thank you! We try out best. Zillow is pretty good for looking at pictures. We try to show more about the houses and the community.
What can I say? I have always been a talker.
Try fast forwarding it instead of making such ride comments. Not acceptable. Grow up..
Yikes 😬
