  • A great video done by our friends at Iniosante. Due to the fact that nobody legit was available, the owner of The AMMO Group appears in this.

My family and I are born and raised here in New Braunfels TX my son 21 now plays the Accordion Texmex style DARREN PRIETO Y SUS AMIGOS and represents our town even though his music Teachers family FLACO AND SANTIAGO JIMENEZ wasn't allowed in the wurstfest they learned and mastered the accordion from the Germans and put a twist on their style and made our own music
HOPEFULLY THIS PUTS A LITTLE BIT OF A POSITIVE NOTE ON THIS STORY OF NEW BRAUNFELS FOR THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY THAT LIVES AND STRIVES IN THIS BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF OURS

Some of my ancestors emigrate to the USA in the 19th century. Their descendants still living in Ohio - great video of the history. And it is awesome how you hold up traditions.

Don't leave us hanging! What happened when the guy tried to take turpentine out of the Cedar trees?? Isn't that where turpentine comes from?

We are Hispanic and laughed through this video because they were real obvious about not showing the Hispanic people of this town. There has always been a Hispanic culture here working alongside or with the Germans. The name Comal is Spanish along with Seguin and San Marcos etc. My parents are born and raised here, I'm from Houston... There's a lot more diversity in Houston so this is an adjustment but I've spent many summers here growing up. This little town is now home and it's continually changing as is all of Texas.
We'll see what happens with businesses after Covid19... But things are a changin'. 👀

Before texans found this place mexican army already touched down with the natives on the 2 rivers. Some good relationships some bad but thats history. We were here before the germans and we'll document our own history. Spanish last name with indian blood.

@@shimmerysparkles123 , I just hope New Braunfels doesn't become "woke", and leftist. That's one of the reasons NB gets my attention, the political atmosphere.

@@vilrecklord8214 New Braunfels has been conservative for years. If you think it's going great right now than you should be wealthy and happy. You won't have to worry about others if you're living here and the city is run by leadership you approve of.
To reach his own is my motto.
