A Onewheel GT Review by a First Time Rider!

- Welcome everyone to my OneWheel GT Review! This is my first review based around any type of sporting equipment/electric vehicle and I hope you enjoy it!
As a new rider my goal is to offer a unique perspective on the OneWheel GT. With no prior bias or experience I wanted to explain and talk about my own thoughts on this new piece of tech.
I do want to state again here that this hobby/sport can be dangerous so ALWAYS wear proper safety gear and equipment (Not a Mandalorian Helmet)

I've been riding an XR for nearly 3 years, with over 1000 miles on my board, I just got the GT a month ago and it's incredible, I live in the UK, and it took a while to arrive. I do want to swap the tire (tyre in UK) cause I tried 3 different ones on my XR before finding one I liked. I went slick with the GT but only because it's summer and I knew I was going to swap it to an aftermarket one anyway, I've got the enduro on order, which will go on straight away when it arrives. I ordered an ender 5 plus a couple months back because of you, and I've just printed my own fender, can't wait to see what you print for your board in the future! welcome to the onewheel community, respect the pushback and you'll have an awesome time.
Those wrist guards are an absolute must, that is if having skin on your palms is something you’re into.

I have had a pint for over a year (almost 2!!) I have over 750 miles and have ridden about 150 miles on the XR! I really want a GT but I think it's time to pull the trigger after your review.
I think that if you're getting a onewheel you expect to go off road with it so the option to get a treaded tire is amazing because if you want a treaded one on the XR you need to put it on and that's not the easiest task.
In the movie Iron Man. The Lore is that it's the suit. Is made out of gold But in actuality they used brass. You are holding up the color gold against brass.
As a one wheel rider and comic cover artist this was a perfect mix. Keep on keepin on 💪😎

One thing i noticed with the GT is how the clearance is so low to the ground.
Going up a 20 degree hill; you’ve got like an inch of ground clearance to your nose.
Scrape that going uphill and you’ll be nosediving soon after. Which is what happened to me.
I think future motion got too obsessed about making their boards faster and bigger batteries for range. What they need to do is make it safer by giving us sound alerts and increasing ground clearance
I just got my first onewheel, do you have any helmet suggestions? I've been hearing a lot about xnito and bern
I think I use a Triple 8? It’s comfy
So no one is talking about the 26mph life top... I got my xr to go 24 but crashed soon after. Impressed that the gt can go 26

The GT is stylish and fun but paying 2.5K for a board that is only safe at 15mph kinda sucks. Get used to cheapo Amazon e-bikes, scooters and eskates cruising pass you.
I mean…I do 20 on it just fine and it’s fun enough. Never had this much fun on a bike or scooter lol

Have you had to send your board for repair? I've heard that's the main gripe with the one wheel. They don't let you repair anything yourself and you have to pay big bucks in shipping and labor costs
