❓ What do you think about Uber's new breakdown on the weekly summaries? What have you seen? Let us know 👇
I cannot locate them. Are the weeklies only available in certain mkts?
In my taxes can I deduct all the money they took out… airport, insurance, ect
😂😂😂that teak 145.00$from redar and they pay me 55.30$ good luke
It sounds like there needs to be a class action lawsuit filed against Uber. They are getting more and more greedy.
Tough to do a class action when the majority of the class has to submit to arbitration.
They're take 50% in New Zealand
I’m down to go in & file it myself, or alongside others! They need to be held accountable
FUCK YES THEY ROB US AS WORKERS
105.00 3 hour drive to Miami airport from ft Myers - gas 55 bucks 3 hours back or stay in a large area your not familiar with which is dangerous as fuck
8.33 an hour to see and back this used to be a 150.00 trip 365 days ago
WHEN
WILL
THE
GOV
CONTROL THIS SHIT COMPANY
Uber is taking about 50% of my fares here in NJ, which is infuriating. We do all of the work and they make all of the money!
Same in Chicago
Yeah, Uber in syracuse is the same. Keeps getting worse too, quests are down to 50 trips for $40! Quests used to be 50 trips for $175 or more
Uber taking 65% of my fares in utah. This is not a typo
uber is taking 60% here in dallas those assholes
Same thing in Connecticut
Today at bar closing time, I pick up a pax on sunset Blvd in West Hollywood , 12 miles 26 min ride to South L.A. ride was on my way home, pax gets in and immediately complains that Lyft charge him 70 dollars, and I am like bro I am only getting 16 dollars, and that was with 3 dollars bonus, he could not believe until I show him, they are savages!! and their greed is absolutely disgusting
OMG, That's crazy!!!
Lyft will likely have a net loss of over a billion dollars this year. I don't associate the word "greed" with that kind of loss. They need to charge more to turn a profit.
Yup I paid $96 for a late night trip from😅the airport. I thought that surcharge went to the people working during the surcharge…nope my driver showed me he only got $22 I felt so bambozzled.
@@deluxesellers878 that's really sad 😔
You're totally delusional if you think Uber only pockets 5-7% of customer fares.
Fun with numbers? Uber has lumped Ins and card processing fees into one number. Dara said in a recent interview that card processing ran 3-5%. Yes, after they mark them up. Estimates for rates charged on the high volume of transactions run no higher than 1.5% So Uber would generate 2-3 TIMES that amount from drivers, thus turning a cost into a profit.
You're barely working, these numbers aren't real. For those of us working full time, the percentage they're taking is considerably higher.
He did say he declines 1 out of 2 ride request 🤷🏽♀️
did you see they recently changed the tips and service fees? im still looking into it. Thank you for sharing!
I haven't yet but looking at your I say that it would be almost the same because im that driver I decline rides that are not worthy specially when you have to drive over ten minutes for a pick up I decline all of those, thanks for this video it really helps
Rider pays $80 I got $30
Smh, long rides never pay
With the new system the upfront fare BS yes.....they are taking 80% on all rides
I am a Diamond driver here in Atlanta. Right now Uber is taking over 50% on most trips. Who controls the insurance money they collect? You guessed it, Uber. You think all that money is spent on insurance?
Why are we paying commercial insurance and rodeshare insurance 🤔. I'd specifically like to know what other fees are included in this deduction
Stop shilling for Uber.
Please explain to me why I have completely contradictory evidence? I have ride after ride from passenger payment matched up with driver pay. $27.46 charge $3 payment to driver. $58 charge $9.40 payment. $107 charge $29 payment.
Thanks for the Video - Being a Diamond Driver I appreciate the time you take making these videos - Its important to look at all points of view . Cheers
Are you now having to enter all that data into the spreadsheet manually? Since they switched the weekly earnings summary to a PDF they took away the ability to download a CSV file that you could see in a nice neat table and could import all those numbers into a spreadsheet. And converting the file doesn’t bring over all the individual trip data.
Very good breakdown - Thanks
I work in Los Angeles I think UBER is taking 50% of my money
you wrong you are misleading UBER takes %60 to %70 I'm %100 sure I have passengers showing me how much they pay for rides and we compare how much Im getting from the fare sometimes the feel sorry and tip me on cash
True lol I was like wtf I noticed they take 60 percent from me
Yep they’re taking 65% from me In utah.
On the rider side, I can’t stand how they show one price and then magically you are charged extra called a “Booking Fee” the fast ones they pull on both parties are nuts.
Driver tips shouldn't be included in the calculation
I use to get good tips. All of a sudden I am getting quite a few $1 tips, and some of these tips are being held for a few days. My customer service has not changed, and if so, it's better now.
Uber takes 50% to 80+ % depending on the trip !
I just look at what the Riders pays and I receive between 60-65% of what the rider pays. I believe tips are down because riders pay much more than we get and they probably say wow that enough not knowing we get personally get much less.
Can I deduct those charges ?
I hope this is a part time gig and not even close to 40 hours a week.
It’s a disgrace that half of our money is going to an office in Silicon Valley
Isn’t it strange they only have a service fee when we get tipped as drivers? The fee they charge is almost equivalent to the amount of the tip! In rides that don’t have tips don’t have a service fee?! They for sure are keeping a portion of the tips! Ugh…. Don’t feel compelled to ask about that because they will just tell you they are having technical difficulties and cannot access your account!
I had a rider that said he did Uber in SF when it first started ....Drivers got 100% of the fare and Uber charged the rider for the cost of doing business.
True no I think at that time what happened uber was charging same at taxi drivers that why driver can make like 200-300 easy in 5 hours and what happened prices were cut like by half imagine if u were u taking rider from sf to airport that would be 50-60 bucks compare to now maybe like 18-20 bucks or less
Uber screwed the drivers and started to get greedy
Hi . I am a uber driver food delivery. I like to comment my experience. When I delivery Walmart grocery I had damaged my car from customer service property I reported to uber company. But they don't want repair my car damaged. Even I was online delivery time. Please let people know about incident happened. Insurance company said the deductible is 2500.00 will not coverage my damaged. Neither side don't want responsibility.
Reach out to www.legalrideshare.com/. They maybe able to help.
Not true. Ask passengers how much they paying!!!
Sometimes the take on individual rides can be high, but you may find it more reasonable when looking at it overall.
Uber need to be invested just like what happened in Australia
they should not take part of our tips?
I’m sure you failed math
Guys don’t start misleading drivers. We do trust this channel but this kind of info in not good. We all know Uber takes a lot more than said in this video
Uber and Lyft is taking the 80% with the upfront fare BS at all Florida state and maybe around the globe is not worth it anymore driving and killing miles in your car for pennies
Riders pay in Vegas so much for ride, driver not get even 50%. Ride from the airport, they charge to customer 40-50 dollars and driver get 15 dollars.
This is shame, I get Uber eats drive 12 min. For 2$ offer. Of course I didn't accept. That's ridiculous.
50% acceptance?! DAMN! I would too if I made $1/mile. I’m currently at 17% accept and I still only make about 50 cents a mile 😅
damn, bro with numbers like that i don't think you'll owe a single dollar in federal taxes since the deduction is 65 cents per mile.. In fact.... that 15 cents extra might be able to offset any other income.. i'm assuming you're aware of this right?
YOUR calculation for uber weekly service fees is not accurate. In your video you divided services into total customer payments, however, you should be subtracting your total tips, bonus' and promotions from the customer payments, since those 100% earnings for drivers.
Well the question is how much is lift taking from drivers just out of curiosity.
About 50%.
Sometimes up to 70% at least in FL
last week I earned $223. My customers paid $351.
How do you know what your customers paid?
Don’t read the script
If insurance is taking that much it's not uber it's the insurance company we should sue. I'm at my breaking point, I'm going to need to get a different job.
New company is a rideshare company running through the block chain NO Uber middle man
Huh, what's the name & contact info for this new company
This rideshare guy is co-signing for Uber. Only fool would believe information that Uber sends you rewarding your income. There's no real excuse for Uber taking so much.
If they are lying to us, then they are lying to the IRS too.
I did an analysis of 3 weeks Uber's take was 11%
I think your analysis is flawed in this respect to find Uber's take (revenue) you need to deduct from customers payments the 3rd party payments (i.e. taxes) as Uber rolls up the fares to cover mandatory taxes, airport fees, etc. Put another way what the customers pay would be lower without the mandatory 3rd party fees/taxes.
Your nose is growing
Uber and Lyft with the upfront fare BS they are stilling 80 % on all rides at Florida state no matter what choice you make on any ride still a rip off ..they don't care about the driver you putting you car , your gas , your insurance, your maintaining, phone service and you earning pennies ...Im saying this because I'm a Uber driver almost 3 years about quit soon , folks is all an illusion you don't make money just been a slave inside your car
Too damn much
I think it’s a ripoff! I don’t believe we as drivers for Uber or Lyft or any other driving service should be charging so much on a weekly basis! I figured it out that they’re charging us $40. A week =$160. A Month! Who of us if we would’ve known this was happening to us, us being charged every week to drive!, plus given rides for $3.67 for example and a few others throughout the day and mind you being sent out 6 or 7 miles further because we accept rides believing we’re working for a good company and on a good team and turns out they are just big scammers!! So sad!! I’m Not Allowing People to Use & Abuse Me! As If… NO THANKS Very Much!!!
Needless to say I Will Not Be Found To Be Working For Uber! I say good riddance!!!!!!
Why I declined buy or sell in market place. Facebook
They are stealing like crazy
With the upfront fare BS now uber and Lyft are stiling money every ride , I can't understand this channel why they don't saying what's is really going on
This video is utterly useless and misleading. The key thing you said is "I am very picky with rides". Uber takes a massive percentage from most drivers, though not as much as Lyft does. You and Sergio's extreme cherry-picking and bonus-stacking doesn't represent how most full time drivers have to drive.
