- First time installing overfenders and making my E36 WIDE! I gave it my best DIY effort and it came out better than expected! (I'm not a paint/body guy) All it takes is a bunch of cutting, grinding, welding, and PATIENCE! Now I can fit my brand new wide (thicc) wheels and tires. She looks MEAN!

I fucking love riv-nuts. I used them when I installed the AEV Highmarks on my ZR2. Do you remember that truck? What a sweet truck. There used to be a channel with a dude doing all sorts of sick mods. IDK he does BMW stuff now lol. Anyway, clean install dude, it looks fucking great!

Yup the punching holes and cutting up the fenders hurts. The front fenders can be replaces but the rears are enough to make you weep.

I did my widebody kit in my driveway. With zero knowledge of body work, I gotta say its a lot of fun molding and sanding and watching the car come together. Cant wait to see what this looks like done!
So much work! Probably 15 hours just getting this far. And I didn’t even paint yet lol
@@matt13ross yeah I spent 11 hours on just trying to fit the front bumper and front fenders cause fiberglass is so annoying 😅 then about 3 to 4 days molding and sanding the car multiple times

Fiberglass. But I don’t have to sand it, mold it, etc lol.

technically yes, but for example, while the m50 b25 engine is a thousand dollars in the USA (thousand dollars = eight thousand five hundred TL), in Turkey it is 30 thousand TL, so everything is extra costly and illegal. Since most auto parts are not produced in Turkey, they are expensive here. So I am planning to come to America soon :)
While you spend ten thousand dollars on that car as a unit, we spend two hundred thousand units on making that car :)

Looks super clean! And have you considered doing bags all around? You could get the front and rear exactly where you want them
I don’t want bags because this is a track oriented setup. The bags would make it handle worse (soft)

Just found your channel and your car is sick dude. AS much as I like the widebody and meaty look idk if I could cut up a perfectly good (hellrot/japan rot?) car lol
It was little tough cutting it up, I won't lie lol.
What are you actually welding on the spot where the over fender sits on the rear and whats the point of cutting those slits and making them fold
That looks great! Just wondering why you were concerned with using riv nuts and reversibility when you hacked your fenders up anyway? Seems like it would have been slightly easier tacking the overfenders on.
I like the rivnuts because the overs themselves are easy to remove and replace as necessary vs rivets, which need drilled out.

Yea I have to add that up at some point. The big ticket items are engine, clutch, tranny.

10.5 no problem, probably 11 without issue as well. I've got lots of room with the 10s and I'm going to add a bigger spacer.

What tool is that? The one that you used to hold the overs after you drilled the holes, the long piece that clamps to it. Not the riv-nuts

Do you know how to mold the overfenders to the bodies and not have the hardware show? Would I need to use rivets?
No, I'm not skilled enough with paint or body to do that.
@@matt13ross I looked arount n it just looks like i gotta use a low profile hardware n then put some bondo or some body molder on over it.
Before cutting up your fenders , the kit didnt line up with the bumpers and arches. How did you solve it and get it to fit so nicely? I have the same kit but when just looking at the kit over the fenders it seems like the kit has too wide arches.
Mine lined up. I just took my time to get it as good as possible.

Hey just wondering why do you need to weld the rears?
It's not required, but it makes the inner and outer metal pieces form into one like the factory. Cleaner and should help prevent rust / corrosion.
