Great menu demo, very thorough for anyone just starting out with their Elite. The Xterra Elite Expedition Pack is a superb performance & value choice for every level of detectorist. Minelab really did an excellent job with the Elite. I’m looking forward to your future Elite videos...
I totally agree, especially at this mid range price point where most can spend a little more than a beginner machine to see if they like the hobby before choosing a flagship machine. Many treasures will be found and there will be no disappointments. Or talk about a quality backup machine or loaner machine for friends and family. Thank you again for the view and comment!!
Mark, Hi from the UK. Just bought an Elite and watched this video and was relieved to find someone who obviously knew what they were talking about. You teased the prospect of a further video on the Elite and I just wondered when this might appear. Thanks for great content presented in a clear concise way 👍
Thank you for checking in from the UK! I will get that second video made right away and even a pro tops and tricks video for the Elite as well. You made a great purchase by getting this machine, you will do very well with it. Thank you again for the view and comment!
Fantastic, congrats on a great purchase. You will do very well with this powerful and very capable machine. I am glad you were able to find valuable info in my video. Thank you for your view and comment!
Finally someone that knows how to do a proper demonstration. Minelab should be paying you and using your videos. Doubtful that would happen since they are too cheap to include an instructional booklet. I bought the Elite explorer package and the equivalent Nokta triple score package at the same time. Both have pros and cons. But the triple score came with a book and I didn’t have to spend a week searching for instructions on the internet and $20 in ink to print out an encyclopedia of information to get started. Thanks for the video it was much more helpful than their instructional booklet.
I sincerely appreciate this comment and it is inspiring to say the least. The Minelab X-Terra Elite should have came with a waterproof quick start guide? But I agree it's nice to have an actual book. I doubt we will ever see one again as all of the Minelab machines over the last few years have been online manuals only. Thank you again for the kind words and I appreciate the view!
I am trying to get better at this part with each video that I do, better camera work, speaking more slowly and clearly and not repeating myself. Making sure that I explain things thoroughly but not too complicated. I'm glad you took the time to leave this feedback for me because this is exactly what I'm most worried about is that part of the video. Thank you for your view and comment!
Hello, Thank you for the view and comment. You will do very well with this machine! I use and own all of the current machines by all companies. I do this so I can understand all of their individual settings and capabilities so I can teach users how to use any machine they own. It really depends on your budget range for my recommendation. You can email me at the email address that is in the description of all of my videos and I will give you some advice there. Thank you for your view and comment!
The reason for running the cable over the top of the shaft as opposed to running it behind the shaft is that when you lay the detector down with the coil flat on the ground, more stress will be on the coil cable coil exit point than if the cable were run over the top of the shaft. That stress could eventually lead to damaged wires in the cable where it exits the coil.
Detailed and helpful video. Considering upgrading to the Elite or Nox 700. I’m concerned with the design of the coils though. Having the bolt thread into the coil instead of into a nut seems like a bad design. I’ve heard that some Nox 700 and 900 owners have had the coil ears break with minimal use of the detectors. Have any of you who own the Elite had any issues with the coil ears breaking?
This is a legit concern. Me being a representative of Minelab as a Detexpert, I often appear and soeak at shows, detecting clubs, etc. I get to hear about many complaints or problems. I have not heard of any ears breaking on the 900/700 or the X-Terra Pro/Elite. After all of the warranty issues regarding the coil on the Equinox 800/600 there was a lot of research and development into this new design which the primary goal was to reduce breakage. I honestly don't think this is an issue yet and I have spoken several times about issues on the 800 breaking due to overtightening. Most often due to worn rubber grommets and the user having to overtightening to compensate. Thank you for your view and comment!
Great Video! Quick question.. Will any parameters I set up in Field 1 also be carry over if I switch to Field 2 also? Haven't seen that anywhere yet... I subbed!
Hello this is a great question and unfortunately no no parameters That you save will carry over to other search modes as they are all Independent of each other as far as what they save. Thank you for the view and comment and great question! And a HUGE thank you for the sub too!
Hello mark I live in California and purchased the elite and I’m learning the machine. Are you working on a new video? I’m trying to find the videos you mentioned in this video. Which part of California are located?
Hello, I am in the Gold Country in Shingle Springs, CA. I am doing some more videos on the X-Terra Elite very soon. I plan on doing videos for beach, pro tips and parks. Thank you for your view and comment!!
Yes it is. Big difference is the X-Terra now features Multi-IQ technology in this Elite model. Thank you for watching a video and for taking the time to leave a comment
Hello! Yes it does, anytime you are using filters (discrimination) it will adversely affect the depth. Thank you for watching the video, for your question and your kind words!
Hey Mark the X-Terra Elite is pretty much the same as the X-Terra Pro except the X-Terra Elite is an updated machine from the X-Terra Pro and we have a new member in our metal detecting club that just got the X-Elite and i kinda helped him out on his setting onn his X-Terra Elite and i showed him what i use on my X-Terra Pro machine
Actually I believe one of the Elite reviewers stated that Minelab confirmed when adding Multi-IQ to the Xterra Elite that they utilized the same processor and chipset found in the Manticore. There is certainly a processing speed difference even seen in the power-up to ready time in the Elite over the Pro (as well as the Nox 600/800). Maybe someone else can weigh in to confirm if the Elite has the upgraded processor and chipset, or not.
@@Stack_Silver Interesting!! 🤔 I'll check on that to try and confirm. I know the audio engine in the Manticore is absurdly powerful and is a polyphonic synthesizer so I doubt they used that exact chipset from the Manticore. Thank you for the view and comment!
Wow!! Thise two finds could pay for the machine! Yes it is a fantastic machine, I can't wait to take it out on my next two videos! Thank you for the view and comment!
I had to save some of those kind of things for my next video this will be a three-part series on this machine. The next video will be how to turn it on set it up in the field and basic footage of it in action. Then the third and final video will be on Pro tips and how to get the most out of it in different environments such as the beach the park and for relics in the field. Thank you for watching and for your feedback!
One HUGE difference is this machine is multi-frequency technology. A completely new and different processor inside, way more like an Equinox 900 than the X-Terra Pro. Thank you for your view and comment!
No? 🤔 What other Key Features are missing from this ultimate setup and settings guide? What if a number of key features were not left out? If your correct, I'll rename the video the "Not-So Ultimate".

Good Job, you just sold one. Question Is the connection where the coax attaches to the controller waterproof? is there an "O" ring or gasket?

Looks a lovely machine , is this the new model ??
Yes it is. Big difference is the X-Terra now features Multi-IQ technology in this Elite model. Thank you for watching a video and for taking the time to leave a comment
hi,do the upper and lower limits (in furious limits) affects the depth of the detector, like manticore?

I don’t see any difference between the Xterra pro in this one except the last button .
