Followed the advice and directions presented and my air flow issues were resolved. My 2012 Buick Enclave had no defrost and the air flow from the other vents was much reduced. Replaced the actuator and air flow from all vents is blasting air out like new. Thank you very much for this video. It gave me the confidence to do this repair.

Really appreciate the video. My dad is a mechanic of 30+ years and owns his own shop. So, needless to say, he's busy 99 percent of the time. Im learning piece by piece on how to do things! Again, thank you for making my life easier

Pro tip: take a piece of napkin/shop towel, and stuff the bit into the 1/4" socket.
The napkin wedge the bit, so it doesn't fall out. ;)

My car doesn’t blow air from defrost and front vents but it blows front 2nd a 3rd row (rear) vents . Could this be an actuator ?

Would this also fix the issue of the air itself not being hot? We are also having trouble switching to defrost but the air is no longer warm?

There is a second actuator that controls the temp. That might be stuck, or could be a clogged heater core.

Old video but new comment. Will this fix an issue with defrost not blowing out the top by windshield?

The one I replaced is the one that controls that function.

Rear is completely separate, it has it's own evaporator coil and heater core and corresponding actuators.
