Good ole 15L i6 Diesel engines lol. That looked like an old CAT. With the right turbo and tune 700 is actually reasonably mild. There's a few custom 16L builds running around pushing 800hp/3200tq

When I was a volunteer, we used to go to all the big factories and facilities like this to train. It lets them have some knowledge of the layout and spots where they will need to pay attention to if there is ever a big fire or emergency. They will have quite a presence here when there are big events.

That Peterbuilt is awesome. My Father in law is a retired truck driver and his Pete 379 with a cat diesel, 18 speed, and stretched frame is just rotting away in the yard. I’ve been trying to buy it to convert to a toterhome for years.

Saw this same truck in New Holstein, WI a couple weeks ago with a load of Mustangs. It's really nice!
I washed trucks for a few years and almost all of the trucks I washed were the ‘classic’ Petes and Kenworths. Close to half my clients had trucks like that with engine blocks and airbags that color matched the rest of the truck which was kind of interesting, but I can’t wait for the trucking industry to migrate from the old antique look to a more modern design. There’s a Tesla truck that I’ve seen a few times near where I live and it’s beautiful. I just imagine how people would feel if GM was still making new square bodies in 2021. That would be ridiculous. The toterhome is gorgeous too though 👌🏼

Blower surge, monster cams, etc. Bunch of reasons, but at the end of the day it all boils down to the engine is built to sit at full throttle, not idle
@@infopimp All I can say is it's a factor of the very specific tuning. Outside of a very specific rev range this type of engine will run 'rough'
