Last week I embarked on a trip, I would have never wanted to try, just because I watch your channel, I was game take the challenge. Quite simple to get running, had a minor overheating issue, but we made it to Summit in Arlington, TX and got a scratch and dent 2 row alum rad and fixed the issue. I still remember the first video I seen of yours and it was repairing the wife’s Avenger. Whoda thunk you’d have such a huge channel meeting all these cool people. Glad to see this channel grow.
Pretty sure that was my intro to VGG as well. Followed by a Chevelle revival. Been hooked since. I like that Firebird, since I'm more of a Pontiac guy myself. That SBC in it might need to get refreshed and on into something with a bowtie on it . Just my .00002c though

I’ve been watching many great UA-cam channels over the years and was referred to VGG by one of them. The first episode I watched was like yuuup this is where I’m going to live now lol!
Sometimes it's a little sad leaving so many good memories behind but it's always exciting looking forward to the new ones. Love seeing the wife and kids in the videos and looking forward to seeing the new homestead.
Just recently found your channel, nice to see a feller from the northern plains doing what I loved to do in my younger years. Lived in MN and WI most of my adult life, but my old bones just couldn't take those 7 month subarctic winters anymore, and made the move to western KY almost a year ago. We miss it a lot, but do enjoy the much milder winters here, but we'll always miss home. Good luck in this new episode of your life, and hope to visit your shop one day, since you're only a couple hours away. All the best to you and yours, my young friend!
Here's hoping the next chapter will work out the way you're wanting it to. Best of luck, and if you find yourself in southeast Virginia, the first round of cold snacks are on me.
I started watching you at 40k or so subs. A fella's channel just keeps getting better and better. I'm actually glad to see you moving much closer to my neck of the woods.
This episode was actually really emotional for me because damn man I hate moving and leaving memories behind. But with that said I love making brand new memories and all that comes with moving to a new state. I moved from Wisconsin to Oregon 6 years ago and its been an incredible journey ❤
Tennessee is no Wisconsin/Minnesota. He's in for a culture shock that he may not like. None of my friends have survived the south, always coming back. I'm from there, and have no desire to permanently move back.
Back in 80 I moved from NC to Alabama, Alabama to Mississippi. Mississippi to Louisiana. Louisiana to Arizona. Arizona to California. California to NC. I know the feeling. Thank god I’ve been back in Gods country since. Good episode. Moving closer to me. 👊😎👍👉🇺🇸👈
Love the content Derek.. we're still in lockdown here in Victoria Australia, travel restrictions, masks, all that.. your videos have been very helpful to me personally so thank you mate.. Please keep 'em coming 💪🇦🇺
Does anything change much for y'all? Around here about the only change was you couldn't eat in restaurants and some businesses like gyms and hair/nail salons were closed. Schools in the beginning were closed. More strick mask regs were in place. But really other than that it was life as normal.

Derek is talented he never tries too hard when it comes to cars, everything just flows
I guess you never saw him rotating a stuck engine by hand or heaving a car battery 15 feet.
@@robertmorin6495 you misunderstood the commenters intent, he is not calling him lazy
Welcome home my friends remember everyone in the back country waves even though we don't know you it's just our culture and tradition it's rude not to at least to give a nod or the two finger wave anywho much love from Anderson county Tennessee welcome to the volunteer state
You know a real car guy has made something of himself when a feller can transport all the shiftboxes to the new shop… with fingers crossed on the battrees working.
the insane parts is needing a whole trailer to move said shitboxes ! so many cars :D
Hello!! I absolutely love the channel. I think maybe I missed where you talked about or explained why you're moving to TN? If I did miss an episode, where can I find it? Thank you for creating a fun family friendly channel.
He said on a live stream they will eventually explain on his other channel vice grip lodge
@ Brian Allred If I were guessing I would say no state income tax in TN (7-10% raise) and a shorter and less harsh winter for starters.
Welcome to Tennessee my brother you are little close to us now I'm sure we will have you coming Raleigh NC in no time for car shows , love you all stay safe cheers
Safe travels to Tennessee, awesome looking load of rides, take it over a load of new ones anyday... 😀
Wish you guys as many good times in Tennessee as you had in Minnesota. As long as you have the family together, you know things have to be doable.
Such an eclectic assortment of rides on that rig. People are gonna be scratching their head watching that truck roll down the road. Looking forward to the new shop!
I still remember the first video I seen of yours and it was repairing the wife’s Avenger. Whoda thunk you’d have such a huge channel meeting all these cool people. Glad to see this channel grow.
Hilarious when he charged at the hood with the shovel.... thats when I subbed.
@@505isiot “the wife thought she was getting a new car… not with me around” had me in stitches 🤣🤣
Pretty sure that was my intro to VGG as well. Followed by a Chevelle revival. Been hooked since.
I like that Firebird, since I'm more of a Pontiac guy myself. That SBC in it might need to get refreshed and on into something with a bowtie on it . Just my .00002c though
Oh wow blast from the past! 😂 Remember him mentioning wife hit something so the bumper will be fixed. Probably not. Or similar
Moving is Always Hard...
That's a badass rig. Can't wait to hit the road again myself. Tennessee is beautiful... Thanks for sharing the journey & looking forward to new adventures. 🇺🇲👍🏼 Big fan from PA
Glad to see you hire such a high quality transport, because man the stories you hear when people try to move cars with economic transport companies are just the stuff of nightmares.
Isn't that the same transport that took Cleetus MacFarlands cars to Houston
@@joshuareed5773 i was thinking the same
@@joshuareed5773 Yup, same company, different truck.
@@joshuareed5773 yeah Cleetus' were hauled on Purple Rain, this one is Purple Sky. So as the other guy said, same company, different truck.
@@saganworshipper6062 aww gotcha. Truck looked similar enough
As a truck driver, the truck was freaking amazing. The sound of the jake brake as it slowed down out of sight was pretty good too. Hurry to Tennessee, sir! You'll be one state away from me then!
amazing rig for sure
I agree that was a beautiful Pete and yes when "she" was out of sight that Jake in the background was music to my ears
As a motorcycle rider, the truck was freaking amazing......tf's that got to do with it? Lmao
Half a world away from me! /sweden :(
@@TKO-NY Yep I hate how people do that
tree fell on the vette but on the way down it stopped off at the milling shop, yep explains a 2x4 alright lol.goodluck an welcome to the new place
Wow. I can't imagine the stress you are under, yet you keep it all cool and calm. Cool video. Amazing rig to haul all them projects. Look forward to watching the progress. Take care.
yep moving suckz
Imagine the stress of having cars and kids and being left homeless... Welcome to New Zealand where a right wing capitalist government kept their property developer mates happy and the hard working poor got screwed.
He turns the Anxiety Directly into Action to Solve the Problem & Lives Way Less Stressful that Way Like my Dad did !
Very cool. One last look at the old garage before we say goodbye. Good luck in new place. Looking forward to all the new videos from there. 👍😎✌️
I passed this truck on I-94 on my way home from work yesterday (SE Michigan.) I felt like I had to come on here and make a comment. Thanks for doing what you do Derek!
Still waiting for the Lodge video explaining the move! Love you folks.
That was a touch emotional when you were talking about the first shop and shutting the door
I work where the car hauler was made in Gainesville Georgia. Its amazing how they are built. A lot of people are required in the manufacture of these beautiful vehicles.
I've had many chapters in my life Derek. A transition each one.
I wish you all a safe journey and look forward to all the new things you will share with us in the future!
I think you named the Vette when you were sitting in it, "The Situation" LOL!!
Name the Corvette " The Raton"
I have bee a casual viewer of your will it run and drive series for a few years. And i have some questions. Do you flip the cars you save. Do you have a restoration staff getting cars ready to flip? Thanks
Feel Free to chime in with answers fans
Always loved seeing the Minnesota representation. Good luck in TN.
thank you
Bet he won't miss the winters there especially working on cars in a poorly heated garage just for UA-cam content...
That semi sounded badass at the end. When you can hear the Jake brake with the truck outta sight that's how you know it's good
I watched the ending a couple of times to hear that hauler bark down the road. Very nice.
Kind of a dick move to do it in a neighborhood like that but it sounds so good I pretty much don't care.
Nice vid, great mile stone in your journey! 👍👍👍
Thank you Derek and family. Finding VGG has been just great. Looking forward to more! Safe journey.
Dang, that rig cost more than my house
Lots of good memories! Best of luck at the new shop
That’s why you rent one. Or boats.
It's fun knowing the story behind every unit. Great stuff. Welcome to the South!
Here's hoping the next chapter will work out the way you're wanting it to. Best of luck, and if you find yourself in southeast Virginia, the first round of cold snacks are on me.
I’m going to be 78 and 22 with ya. Seeing that empty shop brought a tear my peepers... That being said I’m excited for the next phase of VGG!
I started watching you at 40k or so subs. A fella's channel just keeps getting better and better. I'm actually glad to see you moving much closer to my neck of the woods.
Pretty certain I saw that truck on I-24 in Kentucky about 3ish weeks ago. I remember seeing a truck with a varied selection of old vehicles.
Can't wait to see the new place come together
This episode was actually really emotional for me because damn man I hate moving and leaving memories behind. But with that said I love making brand new memories and all that comes with moving to a new state. I moved from Wisconsin to Oregon 6 years ago and its been an incredible journey ❤
I just moved from Oregon to Idaho so I know all those joys and troubles. I hope you’ve liked Oregon!
I moved from MN to OR a few months ago XD
Fixing to move from Ohio to far eastern Maryland.
👊😎👍👉🇺🇸👈
Welcome to the South. Vacated NJ for GA 18 years ago. Best decision for the whole family. Wishing many years of prosperity and vehicle resuscitation!
@@natevanlandingham1945 yeah most of that here too but we also couldn't travel more than 3 miles from home, and even within 3 miles we had to have a good reason to be out of our house (grocery shopping, exercise, getting medical help and getting vaccinated) or else we risked getting a $5k ticket.. oh and a curfew from 9pm until 5am..
@@IGDZILLA yeah its a total s**t show, the sooner it's over the better.. but yeah I'm looking forward to seeing another VGG revival after Derek finishes the move to TN
@@James-zj3ud that's a bit more strict than here, I'm sure some states were that strict though. My Walmart which is a big retail store, not sure if you have them there of know what it is, bit they sell everything from groceries, to tires, hardware things like selection of tools, nails, screws, pharmacy, home wares electronics etc. Its 20 miles from my house as I live rural. I could go there whenever I wanted for any reason. If I wanted to buy a can of spray paint, get groceries, buy new tires or to just walk around and browse.
@@highnoter1 I am pretty sure and hope they haven't been "locked down" for 18 months.🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a truck driver, I can read that guy's mind. "This fella should have had all this stuff ready to load before I got here"
I was thinking the same thing but he knew who was dealing with, lol.
Truck drivers are forced to develop ungodly patience…Delays are part of the game unfortunately
I'm a driver too, exactly what I was thinking. A guy would be kinda annoyed if he had to wait around to get cars started.
He's a fan. He knows how Derek gets down. That Jake brake gave me goosebumps. Ahhh good times good times. :=)
VGG has almost 1 million subs and Derek just put his trucking company out there for them. The trucker better not mind the wait on this one. What business owner wouldn't want to reach out to million potential customers at the cost of a delayed inconvenience-which as was mentioned, happens all the time with no benefits.
I hope I see you in Tennessee some time . My family is moving to the Knoxville area in a couple months . There are soo many clean old cars I'm in heaven on those back roads looking for projects. We are moving from Monticello, MN. Goodbye Rust Belt !!!
You’ve came a long way Derek and the family. Truly deserve everything that’s coming your way.
It was definitely time for a move, before ma nature has her way with some great projects! Leaves and moisture is very harmful 😊 I loved seeing the beautiful rolling apartment!! 😎
A look under the hood of that Cadi-land yacht, reminds me of the burnt orange 🍊 70, that I had. 🤗🤗🤗😎
What would a patriotic real heavy chevy be; any ideas on this one 🤔 how 'bout' a 66 Cadillac convertible, maybe a 70 Cheyenne...Hmm 😒
Someone forgot diapers for the babies on the upper bunk beds, in the "bedroom" of the apt.
Nice truck, I’m 6 weeks away from getting back into mine been a long time healing up can’t wait to seeing the world roll by
Thank you for doing what you do OTR!
Take it easy
Welcome to Tennessee! I love your videos, especially the ones you do with the humans that you're responsible for! I've started to do a restomod on my 72 Chevelle in September 2021, and I'm nearly done with it. I'm disabled so it takes me a while to do things, lol. Anyway, if you know of anyone in our area who does drive shafts, please give me a heads up. I'm in lynchburg, Tn. Moved here from Wisconsin 11 years ago, best move of my life. Keep on, keepin' on. You're a great American, and give me inspiration to keep going!
It’s awesome to watch a professional loader at work just a beautiful rig and set up this driver has
Love to see the boy involved. Making memories with dad. Love the videos.
Derek...when u said. GENIOUS...I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF...ABSOLUTELY love your videos..
I get so happy and comfortable when I see that a new episode is out. Makes me feel like everything is right with the world. With that said, I feel sad when I've seen all the episodes and I have to wait for a new one. Please keep them coming.
Jeez, I guess I lost track of all the vehicles you still have! Thanks for the update on your move, and good luck to you and your family in your new home! Cheers
I'M happy to see you're moving on UP man. Glad I ran across this video. I love that Firebird. First one with a six cylinder that I've ever seen. Beautiful car one of my favorites of all time. I was a young man back in the last millennium, and in 1970 I owned a little '67 Firebird - maize/black vinyl top & with a new replacement engine for the 326 c.i.. It had a dealer installed 400 coupled to the TH 400 transmission. Best car ever!
I also loved that car hauler. One big beautiful "LARGE CAR," as I did that but only for about 6 months.
Good luck in your future endeavors and keep your videos coming.
God bless you. 🙏
I watch these early access vids and then watch them again on general release. Love them!! Thank you :D
Thank you Derek for posting, incredible collection and still more to move.
I love seeing Derek with his kids. What a joy. My son and I started a few projects. He started to get his certifications and passed a year ago. He was the talent of our duo! I miss him.
Gotta love GM. They all fired up and ran well enough to board the car hauler.
Amazing how everything went together. Very impressed. Hope you have follow up videos of the remaining cars you talked about.
I LOVE that you don’t limit yourself to just one brand. Just LOVE watching you help all these great cars live again and just have fun. Old cars and trucks are supposed to be a fun way to spend your time (and money) Great videos!!!
Thanks!
That Entire load of cars and trucks was all GM. He might work on them all but I think hes partial to General Motors.
When you get settled in I’d like to see a full fleet video. I’m a new sub, I’ve seen a lot of the old videos but don’t know what you’ve kept and what you’ve got rid of
Check out the website. You can see what all got sold. Welcome!!!
Or what you might could buy…….
I've had so much fun watching you do all your projects cars. . Thousands of hours that you've put in. Then looking to see the cars all in one place. Somehow I feel a sense of attachment. So much fun to watch at you I'm sure you'll love Tennessee best of luck
