- Thanks so much for the many great reactions, comments and likes on our videos.
Meet Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wa Wa Lady and Christine Nonbo Andersen both soloists of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly with Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
Music by Ennio Morricone
Performed by Danish National Symphony Orchestra
DR©2021
Someone said that Christine appeared like an angel in the audience and sounded like what an angel would sound like.
I am from United States And everybody I know absolutely thinks this is the best Orchestra they have ever heard.❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
How lovely to hear Tuva and Christine's comments. They have given so many people so much pleasure.
Yes, an added treat to be able to meet these amazingly talented ladies. The whole piece is just stunning. So cool to have the performers spread around the hall. The soprano off the edge of the balcony was such a great touch on top of her amazing voice.
I agree. I have checked out Tuva's other songs, she is really good. Still have to check out Christine's.
I love wah wah even more now
Ennio Morricone would be proud of this orchestra and plus the singers made his music so epic!
This Danish Symphony Orchestra version was out on You Tube for a few years before he passed. I wonder if he ever saw it. He must have! This one has such good production quality, that it rises above all the others out there. The only other version I like as much as this is from the actual movie watching Tuco run around in the Cemetery.
Ms. Christine and Ms. Tuva, you ladies are amazing 🤩 !
The Wa-Wa- Lady?
I call Tuva the Godess of Goosebumbs...
Thank you Tuva for this great performance of this Masterpice of music..
I came from the 1960s and still remember the odd whistling theme song of ‘The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. It was a Top 40 hit for awhile on the radio. But I always imagined the theme was a product of multi-track recording and intense editing. I never imagined it could be played at one time, by one orchestra. Seeing it played by The DNO was mesmerizing and stunning to me. To say I was wowed is a huge understatement. It has become my favorite videos and I rewatch it often, at least monthly. And yes, I cry like a baby too.
Well spoken sir
I came from the 50's and always realised that the soundtrack to the film was no product of multitrack recording (it's quite obvious if you really listen to it). With that being said, the DNO version is as close to the original soundtrack as it can be.
Excellent point about the surprise to see it played all by itself by just one orchestra. Mabye that's the proof that with some ingeniuity and work they can do pretty much everything.
And Marconi did not have the funding available to him to have a big orchestra like this to utilize. So he did an incredible job with what he had to work with!
Words can't express how wonderful that performance was....only tears!
Was such an honor to be in this video with people who have all the talent. Your arrangement was phenomenal. The vocals still blow my mind. Thank You.
I agree with you, it is ridiculously beautiful
Absolutely brilliant
Tuva....you're a "Legend"
Christine.......just speechless
These two ladies are trained to sing opera and classical music. This required instructors, hours of practice and natural ability to train and develop their voices to vocalize as they are able to do. Without formal training it is nearly impossible no matter how gifted for a singer to equal them.
These two on the interviews are just so nice. I think in real life it would be a pleasure to talk to them.
Thanks for pointing this out. I frequently get a bit annoyed, when people always only seem to see and say talent, where hardly anyone seems to see the hours of practice behind.
@@elwray3506 Talent *is* very important, but it does only get you so far. "Genius is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration" they say.
The most frustrating thing is that these reactors over react to a person singing.... 'is that a person singing!?'
Well duhhhhh
@@CyberBeep_kenshi I think some of them doesn't realise she sings in sync with the harmonica and think it's all Tuva.
They are outstanding. And totally deserve all the love
I try to watch something from Danish orchestra everyday,,,To my ear it's perfection,,,
All the Musicians are so intense,,,and no retakes,,,the Camera work is Fabulous, even the grain
In the wood instruments is highlighted,,,
Wonderful music and those ladies have the voices of angels. Thankyou for the entertainment.
Tuva's whistling is phenomenal! Christine's voice pierces my soul. This orchestra, all involved, if this was the only performance they ever did it would still be an honor of a lifetime. This performance will live on to the enjoyment of millions. How proud they must be. Thank you for allowing me to experience it through video. What a wonder it would've been to see live.
A great tribute to the Master Maestro Ennio Morricone. Touches the soul. One of the greatest composer's in history takes his place along side Bach, Mozart, Beethoven. The Danish are so humble.👍👍
He truly is atop the musical Olympus. "Genius" is an understatement.
Thank you for this behind the scenes with Tuva and Christine. Two extremely talented ladies. The talent of the entire orchestra is off the charts. Love it!!!
I've watched this version of the good, the bad and the ugly tens of times. These two ladies are incredible. The whole arrangement is brilliant and it fascinating watching the the instruments and singers making the sound.
Comparing Tulas performance the Christines is like compairing a Ford Focus to a ford GT 40.
@@peterrevens8454 Watch some of the symphonies other videos featuring Tula.
Only tens?
Tuva, Christine... thank you. This turned into a really special piece of music that will go down as one of the great orchestral performances of all time. Please also let the rest of the orchestra know that they are also appreciated, even the one player in the back with two boards to clap together. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have this kind of response to a performance, but enjoy it - it was earned.
May you both be as happy as you have made us.
I am going to say that your arrangement of Morricone is best I have heard (and seen). The choice of instruments, the sharpness of sound, precision of notes. And as a bonus, you make fantastic visuals too. My dream is to hear you live.
Well,as Morricone did concerts himself, you obviously have not seen his presentation.Who would know better, than the composer himself!?!?
I'm also dreaming to attend a concert of theirs. 💖
@@pebo8306 There are several on UA-cam, and they do not get the likes and views that the Danish ones get.
@@kennethbaker5223 Personally,I find the Danish fascinating with their"next to ice-cold precision"and their ideas to recreated the original! They are as close,as anybody can get.---but they don't match the original!(Especially the original from the OST)
This may not be an “arraignment”, maybe it’s just the original composition played played very well.
Tuva and Christine's powerful voice is truly amazing, they are So amazing 🤗🤗
Had I not seen your performance with this classic Ennio Morricone piece, I don't think I would have believed it. You made an renowned symphony orchestra even better with your performances. Thank both of you ladies, and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra for providing something I watch quite often.
These two women are so talented, wonderful and humble. I cannot stop watching this video and any of the danish symphony orchrstra.
First time I heard Christine i thought i had died and gone to heaven. Simply beautiful, the voice of an angel.
As a proud Dane I have tried to listen to all the reactions I have been able to find, also to give them a like! Actually Ennio Morricone gave a Concert, with an Orchestra, in Copenhagen about a year before he died and I would have loved if he had been able to listen to this version, for a full Orchestra!!
Three great performers: Tuvalu, Christine and of course Sarah Hicks conducting this amazing orchestra.
Greetinfs from Mexico 🇲🇽
Ennio Morricone GENIO 🇮🇹!!!
This performance of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" and "The Ecstasy of Gold" was absolutely sublime. I loved every aspect of the production, from the awesome talent of every musician, Tuva's and Christine's beautiful performances, and all of the other details (Tuva's earrings, Shorty hanging from the rafters, and Clint's silhouette at the end). Everything about this was so, so great. This video where we got to meet Tuva and Christine was wonderful, and thank you and congratulations to you and the orchestra's success, it was well deserved.
Tuva, my name is Itamar, I'm Brazilian... my one-year-old son has been sleeping with your voice since he came into our lives... we love you! I hope one day to have the pleasure of seeing you perform in our country so that my baby can see all your talent up close.
I Love too much this music.....and "TUVA" me heart it's very exicted..... I have 54 years and see the western spaghetti movie.
You girls rock! This song brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you!
Amazing masterpiece/score by amazing musicians.
However what also needs mentioning the professional capturing of this moment, the video and sound quality, the cuts, the camerawork. I truly believe such masterful professional way of showing the little details coming together to greatness what made it possible for us to enjoy this. Hope plenty more follows, and the era of quality presentation of these artist, musicians have come.
Good call. Yes, excellent production value.
I love these ladies! Thank you for posting this!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤
This group elevates every song to such heights, it's incredible. Never stop:-)
Tuva and Christine you are both legends!
Both ladies have beautiful singing voices, but the Morricone concert, especially The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly theme, was by far more beautiful with their voices. They made a great piece, an extraordinary performance put together with a stellar orchestra.
I have been a major fan of the DNSO for many years now. But something not being mentioned is the remarkable lighting, videography and editing in these productions. These folks are top-drawer professionals and are helping to bring us these amazing artists. Well done, Production Team!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The voices from this group are AMAZING 👏 😊😊😊. And the individuals involved who are playing what they do are unique 😊
This response to the reactions is sooooooo cool!!!!!!
Please, keep making Ennio Morricone covers. We need more! Unfortunatelly he's not with us anymore, but this orchestra does a wonderful job.
Thank you from Brazil!!
Tuva: now it's 122 MILLION!!!!!!!
My favorite video on youtube. Tuva and Christine are both amazing as is the whole orchestra as well as the conductor. Rarely does a orchestra hold a candle to the original soundtrack. This one does that and more. Tuva, you're Ellington video tore me loose.
Thank you Tuva and Christine, not forgetting Sarah (the conductor).
What a wonderful work of art from such talented musicians and singers. There is only one universal response to this concert: utter amazement and astonishment! Everyone that watched it on my Facebook page commented, in essence, that they were "blown away!" Thank you so much, God Bless all of you who worked so diligently... your efforts are superior!
Goosebumps...I also had a lot!
I'll never get sick of listening to this
brilliant comes to mind
I had more than goosebumps. I had tears from surch a beautiful peice of music
The Wa Wa Lady makes a very hard job look easy...hello from Brazil!!!
Edit: What Christine nonbo makes with ver voice is just amazing!!!
She is no match for the original singer Edda Dell'Orso!
Apparently the "wa wa" is supposed to simulate a coyote howling.
@@Liggie55821 Only the Danish do the Wa-Wa:does appear in original OST.Second:Morricone probably never encounter a coyote;do not exist in Italy
@@pebo8306 I disagree, slightly. I've listened to both countless times. Each have their own "piercing the heart" ability. The clarity of Christine is incredible, and the haunting/ echo style of the original----- absolutely love them both. 😊😊👍
@@williamwarner8189 I agree. But in recent time Morricone mostly had Christina Rigacci sing it,and she also has a quality of her own!
We must not forget her great efforts on Once Upon a Time in the West in the same concert!
Love to see this behind the music stuff. Keep it coming!!
Yes, Listening brings tears to my eyes.....just amazing!
I was totally blown away when I first saw this video so much so that I downloaded it and watch it often you feel the music in your soul it’s absolutely amazing
My favorite YT video of all time. Love from Tennessee, USA
About one million of those views of the original video are from me playing it over and over. It is truly a magnificent performance - literally perfect. And this was an incredibly neat video for you guys to do and post. Thank you for it.
The Quintessential version of this classic.
Tuva's Crossover to Christine brings Surrealism to an Angelic Plateau.
A Magnificent "Work of Art" from start to finish- Truly a Masterpiece of Perfection🎩
PS: Bravo to Everyone involved in this Amazing Journey ⚘
I still go back and listen to that concert. Incredible!!!
Greetings to Tuva and Christine from Germany.
THANKS FOR BRINGING WAA WAAA LADY TUVA, AND MEMORABLE CHRISTINE live.
Tuva & Christine. Godesses. period.
Tuva and Christine, I love your voice, congratulations
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly + Ecstasy of Gold. what a Epic Soundtrack.
Both women are extremely talented. But, when Christine started to sing, I burst into tears. Just a stunningly phenomenal voice. Bravo!! 🌹👏💖
Just every instrument and vocal were on point. Amazing teamwork. (And amazing breath control for oboe guy!! Dang!! ❤)
Clarification: That's not an oboe. Similar instrument though, it's an english horn. You are correct though; double reeded instruments like the oboe, english horn and bassoon require a lot of air. Breath control is awesome!
This music soars and it takes me with it. I feel as though I am bursting from the ground up to the stars.
These ladies were singing legends. Not just on a national stage? But on a global stage.
amazing vocal work, ladies...amazing orchestra and conductor overall...you certainly did justice to one of the most iconic movie themes ever...Maestro Mr. Morricone would've been proud of this rendition..
Would have loved to have heard from that English horn soloist. His solo in the middle was absolutely wonderful.
After seeing this masterpiece, I swear I must go to live concert in my lifetime!!!😍
Oui, magnifique orchestration, et la très très émouvante Christine Nonbo Anderson, subliiiime!!!!
Tuva doing the whistling and being the wa wa lady was so engaging i ended up looking her up and the level of experience and training she brought to morricones work was amazing all over again. Shes my absolute favorite of the bunch, what an absolute rock star. a dozen roses at her foot a dozen times over :)
I've watched this amazing song so many times. It's so very beautiful and wonderful. I share the same reactions as these people.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I Think Exactly the same! Wonderfull!!!
Ennio Morricone's soul will be very happy seeing these moments. A true legend who made spaghetti westerns what it is today 😎👍
The Wa Wa Lady, that is so funny! She is great!
Mesmerizing performances, that's why i am taking my girl to the Morricone Copenhagen concert in January.
Are they doing it again?.. Hah! I'm torn between going again or letting someone else have the experience.
Jakob Stegelmann is the host this time. And the host is only thing that could be changed for something better.
Lucky guy!
jealous in New Mexico
These two ladies are so humble- Just wow, so beautiful
No, they are just Scandinavia. Here you will get nowhere by serving a tiny rich elite and saying "God bless" like they do in the USA, or pretend you are a strong leader who is telling people what to do and how to live their life, like in Russia, because here a rich, skillful or prominent person or politician will get nowhere if they do not comply to the "Jante law", that you are no better than the rest, so here you need to act as if you are a family member or my down to earth "next door neighbor" to have any chance of getting elected for anything or receive any kind of praise.
Woooww....is marvelous.
I'm from Brazil. And I listen the Dollar Trilogy you play every time. Did a Playlist on YT just to listen in sequence. Awesome job. Congrats.
Excellent orchestra. Remember, however, that this magnificent music was composed by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone. One of the many wonderful pieces of music he composed.
The best version of this piece of wonderful music called Ecstasy of Gold except the original. You make me cry every time I listen it. Good point. The emotion is intact. Thank you for this performance, with love from Switzerland.
Big Big Big fan this music and Wa Wa leady
Parabéns ! Excelente voz !
In general thank you Danish National Symphony for all of the great music you share w/us around the world. Specifically to Tuva and Christine your vocals are an inspiration... Thank you again all!!!
Tuva and Christine! WOW!🥰
Hope she’s part of the concert next year -January 13, 22.
I so much want to be present in that concert. Big fan of Clint Eastwood, the western movies and of this song. I also have to mention in my opinion, they are the best symphony performing this other western songs. 👏
Love to Tuva and Christine from London❣️
Emotional performances from the heart, go a long way💯
Also the whistling on "Fistful of dollars", was outstanding.
Another goosebumps moment❣️
Love to the WHOLE orchestra also 🤭🫶🫡💯
My first reaction to reactors was "who the hell cares what you think." But the reaction to what you guys accomplished and to Pavarotti's Nessen Dorma is the exception. Most of the reactors are fundamentally ignorant and appreciate a piece if it has a good beat and is easy to dance to, but you exposed them to a completely different world, and our world is better for it. Most have never seen a symphony orchestra and had no idea of how complex the making of beautiful music is. Thank you for expanding their vision.
I've watched this video at least 100 times. Absolutely sends shivers down my spine and pumps me up. And you're right Christine Andersen gives me goosebumps as well a that tear that comes from such immense appreciation for amazing talent. If you're not impressed by it , you have no appreciation for music
So in reality, only 95.999.900 have watched this video?
That's cheating!
@@akyhne Um...I too have watched this video more times than I can count. It sweeps me away and makes my heart soar. At least another hundred viewings are probably mine.
Verry Talented Ladies.
This is by far one of the most fantastic piece of music I've ever heard. I love it, it sometimes brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for everyone involved. Music brings us all together!!!
Superb Tuva.Lots of love from India 👍
It was great I loved it I can listen to it all day thank you
You deserve it. It is the best film of all the time and you made (Well, this is also my favorit film) the best interpretation of all the time. I have to confess that tears come each time I listen the jewel you made. Greeting from France !
My all-time favorite movie theme. Everybody in it is perfection! WOW!
I absolutely love the wa wa lady
I love this!!!!So great!!!I feel into the movie!!!Great!Great!
I can't believe I was 5 when mom
Took me to the drive in and it changed my life who would have known almost 50 years later a new generation would come to love it..
Amazing Wa Wa lady
I've watched this at least 50 times...no lie.....my favourite
Here I am. Reacting to the reactions of people reacting. If this gets any responses, that would be an reaction to me reacting to the reactions of people reacting. If that response gets any thumbs up...
I like your comment. Hopefully someone likes mine :-) :-)
Wonderful...thanks.....
I personally have lost count of how many times I have watched that video and others with Tuva Semmingsen and Christine Nonbo Andersen.. Truly amazing ladies
A great movie and a spectacular musical score. But the Performance was absolutely over the top! Incredibly moving!
