I did use a magnet for the head lol. That model is gonna be a pain to paint already built, especially the heavy carapace and the head. Airbrushing will not do it justice so good luck to whoever paints it. The Reaver is more difficult. Furthermore in game terms the Stormbird is a more effective choice. Still a beautiful model.
Really fancying a Reaver. Saving up at the mo but I can just tell now that when I have enough together for a Reaver I'll be thinking I just need to save that little bit more for a Warlord
When you tap the torso to say it's hollow, and the leg plate fell off had me laughing . It reminded me of my first car. You didn't want to tap it too hard either :D Great vid as always Rob :)
Forgeworld should at least inspect this model before shipping, for any imperfections , for tis big model that costs a lot of $.......Awesome model , great video spikey...
I'd love to buy one of those, but I already have a stack of plastics almost as high as myself that I need to build first, let alone paint =). It just looks so awesome.
“Flexing all of my hobby muscles” and “using all of the tools in my hobby toolbox” is just the long way of saying this kit blows. For $2000 you shouldn’t have to bend any parts back into shape.
Having built a Reaver Titan and other large resin models like Forge World Knights myself, it is just part of the deal of working with resin. Its not even that difficult to bend pieces into shape, and often times it is outright useful to be able to bend/rebend cables and other things into shape. Yes, you have to think and work for it, but I'm not one who says money grants me comfort. My hobby is building and painting models, and if I want to have everything super easy and streamlined, I would get a Lego set, or pay to have it done for myself. I would say that mainly very experienced modellers invest in a large FW kit, and as such they have the necessary expertise and experience to properly piece everything together.
@@antoninrobinet9309 if youre paying 2000$ for a kit, there should be 0 deformed pieces leaving the production site. The fact that I can spend 300$ on a printer and make my own that only looks slightly worse cause of layer lines is laughable.
Yeah, the manta is bigger. If you put it on its wing, it would finish taller by a few inches. I'm very lucky to have seen both these miniutres on in the same display at warhammer world. The manta has to be seen to really be believed.
yes put in box and send to me you did good job puting to gether now just send it LOL just a joke are gong paint up ?? be col to see seen one dun o BTP will see part two when posted ;;;;;;;;;]]]]] or see the UA mod fore dawn of war
lol you got to love the lack of quality from forgeworld seeing how it is what over 2k

My god! You NEED to do a batrep with that thing when its painted up!

I would love to paint one for those.
I built one for the first Apoc book, it wrecked face!
Some great details on that thing! :)
i wonder if they'll ever make an emperor class titan
That would be probably the size of a toddler or sumfing.
I mean they did for Warhammer epic

The bigger the miniature is, the bigger is the probabilities To have deformed pieces..
@@antoninrobinet9309 sounds like a production/quality control issue for the producer.

What size magnets did you use?
way to go bro so bad ass
This is insane !
Can I have it?
thinking about just building this thing kind of scares me.
not even thinking about the paint.
I didn't mind seeing it unpainted but I was about to look for a different video until you said "look at the weapon options". Then I'm like "huh? Ok."
i'm in the process of making an ork version
OMG, its AMAZING!!! 😊
What Company or Place did you use to paint it?
How are you gonna paint something this huge? And for the love of the God Emperor, please post a video of the completed paintjob.
So when are you going to put that beast on the table and play it?
5500 points just for that one model haha opportunity to use it is scarce
The warlord fister XD
The biggest FW model is the Tau Manta....
Data Wargaming really? bigger than the warlord? I would like to see them side by side preferably in the flesh.
Maybe this thing can use the manta as a jet pack?

Bob Bobington Same, it truly is stupidly big!
Chris Churchill I'll ask the orks to, lol, they are the true servants of me, Tzeentch!
Where do I get this model
let next level painting paint it...
gunnar hansen let blue table painting paint it! lol
Nice model. But the price is rediculously offensive. The forgeworld guys are nuts.
whats funny is that it is actually more effective walking backwards. (on the table)
Meh...... I've seen bigger. 😁
