I think having the artist give commentary on their work (especially the higher level stuff) is invaluable to get the inside take on the passion they have for the work and the kind of thought that goes into the quality of the painting at BTP. Very strong connection to the source material DOES make a difference. This artist 'cares' for the universe. You can feel it all over the model. Great video, if not one of the best, on simply the love you can feel oozing off of this model.
What really stands out to me is all the detail and the outstanding work on the metals. I would love to see how you achieved such realistic effects. You should put out an instructional video for sale. Very inspiring.
When I saw it, the painting looked so real :) I only miss some kids´ drawings on the Titans´ foot fingers (toes) with chalk, you know. Like the reaver was parked in the streets to protect and kids are kids :)
Chapeau! fantastic paintjob! every time the pencil ort a finger came into view I was kind of supprised how "small" the model is considering the amount of detail that is painted on it... really great work!
I could look at that Reaver titan forever, just finding odd bits and small tacks of character. Beautiful, magnificent, it's a masterpiece. Excellent work Joseph.
This is INSANELY beautiful. I'm not a fan of the overall design of the Titans, but this paintjob... I'm completely in love. Joseph, you are talented beyond my wildest dreams. And I really enjoyed hearing yoy talking about this masterpiece. :)
Joseph is by far the best painter at btp i love how he researches metals before he goes and does them more amazing work 2nd favorite to the paladins you did joseph those were great!
I can totally appreciate the sheer volume of work and skill that went into this. That being said, I would have been furious if you modeled that much damage into my titan but to each his own and that's only my opinion. I feel that something so venerated and valuable would have its armor fixed and paint touched up by the tech priests.
Blue Table Painting The weapons; The "flamethrower of some kind" is a Melta Cannon. Think of it as a titanic superheated stick arc welder on steroids that can shoot a massive explosion rather then having to make contact. The gatling gun is pretty much that, its called a Gatling Blaster. Like I said, pretty much a gatling gun but with explosive rounds. The unidentified tri-barrel cannon is a Laser Blaster and its does what you'd think it does from the name. The missile launcher is just a "Reaver Titan Missile Launcher".
one of the best mmoidels ive ever seen come from BTP or anywhee else a force to be seen on the battlefield for sure i wouldnt want to face them at all excellent work i must say
I think you know the model looks great. When I can afford BTPs work I hope Joseph paints my project. He's a real craftsman. Don't get me wrong everyone there does amazing work. The bearded one has been with BTP since I found this channel. What I really wanted to say is the font at the end is the best choice in my opinion.
The oxidation stuff and like the grease on the legs look amazing. You could spend days finding new subtle things that make this model amazing. Must have taken ages to paint.
oh. my. science. the weathering of the shooty bits alone made me die from awesomeness overexposure. but then the badical work that be the cockpit detailing kickstarted my blood pumper again. so thanks.
Wow...not to completely ignore your titan or anything ('cause it is competing as your best miniature ever - if the term 'miniature' is still applicable on that scale), but where do you get your music at the end of your vids from?? It just fits everything so well! I also ADORE the point-source lighting and corrosion =3 Any tips for those, or is it a company secret?
This can be bought at forge world. just look it up. It's actually for a minatures game, though, so it is VERY expensive, and you will have to paint it yourself and/or hire someone to do it for you. if you want someone professional to do it for you, try finding a games workshop and hire the best painter you can find there.
Last I checked that titan (direct from Forge World) was about 1,000 CAD. Couldn't tell you what that would cost to paint. Maybe 500 to 1000 for that quality? BTP can correct me if they wish.
Cool they have pretty awesome designs for Warhammer miniatures I honestly think GW would do better if they made their miniatures a little cheaper. However that is just my opinion.
Depending upon the size of the titan, there are various crew levels. For example, an Imperator-class has significantly more crew than a Warhound-class. Warhammer 40k wiki has a great rundown on the various titans.
Warhammer 40000: Final Liberation. Turn based game from the 90's, based on the tiny tiny Epic Armageddon line from GW. I think you can download it for DosBox, but don't quote me on that.
It was painted 11 years ago and still blows my mind, awesone work
This is not "pro painted" this is MASTER Painted !
Master Crafted titan
its so beautiful (tear).May the enemies of the Imperium cower in fear!
Paintjob blows my mind. The dim green lighting from the displays is so well done.

Fantastic paint job. When the still pics came up. My jaw dropped, I didn't even realize it did.
Joseph you are a painting god in my book.
I refuse to believe that those optics are not actually glowing.
Spray makes glowing super easy. Nearly impossible with a paint brush, though.
Love it!
Great work.
Such a big difference between the reaver model and the Nemesis I'm building.
It's nice to see one up close.
Chapeau! fantastic paintjob! every time the pencil ort a finger came into view I was kind of supprised how "small" the model is considering the amount of detail that is painted on it... really great work!
Expert paint job. I love the grim and dirty appearence. Looks superb.
One might forget the tech priests actually clean these things.
Oh God they probably repaint them and all the rest while the're at it
Wyatt Arthur I do not envy whoever has to do that.
I see your profile pic and I hear: I was me.
Gatling Blaster, Laser Blaster, Melta Cannon, Apocalyps missile launcher, Princeps, Moderati.
One of the nicest models I've seen. Props on the paint! Master class for sure!
Holy crap i cannot believe how well done this is!!!
I could look at that Reaver titan forever, just finding odd bits and small tacks of character. Beautiful, magnificent, it's a masterpiece. Excellent work Joseph.
That is one of the most impressive paints jobs I have seen!
This is INSANELY beautiful. I'm not a fan of the overall design of the Titans, but this paintjob... I'm completely in love. Joseph, you are talented beyond my wildest dreams. And I really enjoyed hearing yoy talking about this masterpiece. :)

How many hours did the painting take? This is is insane!!!

Still one of the best titan paint jobs I've seen so far.
the inside looks like something from Star Wars, more so with the painting then the actual models, great job.
Holy hell that paint work. That's work of art right there!

I don't even play wargames, I just really like the concepts and miniature work involved, and this one is exceptionally awesome 8D
the detail is unbelievable!!!!

Astounding work! Those scope screens are amazing!
The oxidation stuff and like the grease on the legs look amazing. You could spend days finding new subtle things that make this model amazing. Must have taken ages to paint.
This is just incredible work.
That is actually insane. The lighting and everything inside the armour is just -insert word greater than 'astronomical' here-
Absolutely amazing stuff. Kudos
The eyes on it were amazing
oh. my. science.
the weathering of the shooty bits alone made me die from awesomeness overexposure. but then the badical work that be the cockpit detailing kickstarted my blood pumper again. so thanks.
that looks just amazing paintjob, kinda doubt since you are a painting company if you would make a video tutorial how to do those battle damages
God, this is awesome. I'm sitting here thinking "what do I own that I can sell to afford buying those?"
Amazing work. I'm definitely inspired:)
The light pole demonstrates the scale of the titan quite well.
How did you go about painting the oxidized brass? it looks amazing!
Great work. I want one to just set on my desk.
Absolute awesomeness, worth $5,000...
Looks GREAT! Ive searched everywhere online but i cant find any of these to purchase. where can i get one?
it would be a massive help if you could tell me what size magnets you used on the weapons
Do you and your team buy the Titan to fill a purchase or does the client supply the parts, how much do you charge?
My friend painted his pristine, I like the distressed look here too.
Your talent is amazing. Was wondering how do you do the screens in the cockpit as thinking of getting one of these.
Head is multipart assembly for all the titans, definitely have to paint the detail before you glue it all together.
That is SICK! What an amazing piece of work. Is that for an Adeptus Mechanicus army?
paint job is amazing!!

Hi could you please tell me what epoxy resin glues and putty that were used to construct your titans. please be specific thanks
Something I wonder is what's up with leather being used in the dark dark future? What happened to synthetic materials that can be made to pwn leather.
It is the Icon used by the Titan Legio Astorum - called The Warp Runners.
@vidioinspector I agree but all hobbies got to be expensive right
By the way nice work on the battle damage- really lifelike
Too epic, well done again Joseph, I can't wait to see the second Warhound.
amazing.
the eyes of the titan are awesome
That weathering makes my brain explode!
What is that blotted out sun mark on the upper part? does it belong to a chapter or something?
The paint job in awesome!!!
This has just become my new reference for weathering.....
how much would a model like this cost to buy? including model/painting?
Oh hell yes. Beautiful work. Are you guys doing any Legio Astorum banners for these beauties?
Do you know any good ways to simulate green oxidization on copper? Mostly just for big pieces of metal.
how much does it cost to get a reaver done?
the 3 weapons you have there are the triple turbo laser destructor cannon (ttlbc) the melta cannon (on the floor) and the gatling blaster
looks amazing you did a great job
What paints did you use for the metals?
I want someone to look at me the way he looks at that Reaven Titan.
Wow, thats one of the best "minis" I've everseen.
Shouldn't titans have Rust-free steel?
How much would a Reaver like that cost to commission?
Strategic Value: ABSOLUTE
Simply awesome!
How much is that Reaver worth in that condition?
How much would one of these behemoths cost? :)
End song ?
Very well done!
What is the track used during the stills? :)
Yep I'm loving the look of them!!!
epic paint man
How much money does someting like that cost?
Awesome work Joseph
how much do titans cost?
Are Titans just one big machine or is ran by several humans?
Titans have a crew of 4 iirc.
Cool they have pretty awesome designs for Warhammer miniatures I honestly think GW would do better if they made their miniatures a little cheaper. However that is just my opinion.

Bro...he literally took the top off & showed you 3 men in the cockpit of the titan...did you miss that?
I believe the triple barrel is a valcano cannon

Is that scale to the average normal human height Guardsmen?
the right arm weapon is a LASER BLASTER the left arm is a GATLING BLASTER and the one in front is a MELTA CANNON
the weapons were on the right arm- Gatling blaster, left arm - laser blaster, and unattached is a Melta Cannon
Beautiful beautiful Titans!
Very impressive!
wow incredible....amazing even! Do you guys actually make money on such a project?... because you must have spent days on it.
Do the tau actually have their own titans yet?
oh god....oh god! it's so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!
I want that, and a few baneblades for my apocalyps games :)
wonders why in all the build vids of showing the incremental stages of building the Titan that not a one shows how to build the torso in its entirety
That titan is movie prop quality!!! Too bad everything is CGI now.....Joseph could have worked for ILM and blew their minds
Very inspiring!
