I really like this game soul hackers is alot of fun. I do think that the title says it all however I would not recommend this to a newcomer to the series given how unique some of the dungeons are let's say aswell as the demon loyalty system. Also good to know atlus gave you an early review code
@@TrashorTreasure yay! I personally feel it's best played on the 2ds. something about the 2 screens being very close together with no angle between them feels very authentic. I love the 2ds.

Great work on this retrospective, it's a shame Soul Hackers 2 didn't live up to the hype. Edit: One thing I really loved about this game was how it predicted VR, there were so many NPCs with unique portraits in that VR Space who would just talk about life with you, kinda like old MMORPGs and especially VR Chat too nowadays. I really liked that VR hub area, probably my favorite hub area out of all SMT games even if all the shops weren't the most useful.

Great video! I just finished it today, I enjoyed it quite a lot as my first 1st person SMT game., made me want play more of these! I might be wrong, but I don't think the "go" command raises demons' loyalty. In order to increase it you have to ask for a command depending of the demon's personality, or to give a special kind of item via the Gift command in the menu. With max loyalty, you can almost always get the command you asked. For the final boss it was the only way I coud manage to defeat him easily by using the spell Makakaja again and again and getting insane magic boost!
There are a couple of callbacks and references, but it's ultimately a different story than the first, so go ahead and play SH2 and maybe come back to this one. :)
I actually got an autograph from Cherami Leigh when she came to Too Many Games 2022. I was very ecstatic not only because of the autograph, but to see her and talk to her face to face.

Also, I do want to bring up that I even had a chance to meet Keith Silverstein, the voice actor of Masayoshi Shido from Persona 5 as well as Richard Horvitz during my time at Too Many Games 2022. I even had autographs and pictures from the two of them, even Cherami Leigh on the topic of pictures.
