      Don't wait for the overheating idiot light. Just raise the hood and look at the coolant reservoir right behind the latch. If there is any red fluid visible you will be okay. Check often and top off to the middle seam. Use only the red premix or distilled water in a pinch. I live in Phoenix and have no problems even in the summer.

    I have a Chevy Cruze 1.8L Eco Tech Manual 6 Speed transmission.
    My thermostat housing seal started to leak (coolant fluid) after the thermostat throttle pressure (intake heater line) failed. I replaced the thermostat housing, but now the oil cooler pipe is leaking coolant. I replaced the o-ring and still is leaking, I think it needs a thermometer gasket?
    I will be replacing the throttle pressure intake heater line that runs from thermostat housing to the intake.

      My thermostat housing failed, due to the intake throttle pressure heater line. There is also a return line on the throttle intake housing that feeds back to the coolant reservoir. The brake booster cylinder also has a coolant pressure heater line. #chevycruze #chevy #cruze

  • @ecarroll3723
    @ecarroll3723 Рік тому +2

    Wrong! Do NOT use a screwdriver to pry up on the clip like he did, the clip might break or in his case, the neck below the o-ring will break (see the o-ring sitting on top inside the housing tube after he removed the fitting?) .. There is a tab on top of the clip to put the screwdriver in to pull the clip off the fitting.. When mounting, make sure o-ring is on the neck and push the fitting in the hole first, then slide the clip on the groves until it locks

    • @thepartsfactory4239

    • @ecarroll3723
      @ecarroll3723 Рік тому +1

      @@thepartsfactory4239 Wrong again.. I had to remove mine because my thermostat housing assembly needed to be replaced (due to hairline cracks) and there was nothing wrong with the throttle body heating pipe (tube).. If you remove it like you did prying it sideways with the screwdriver, you will break the lower portion of the neck.

    • @thepartsfactory4239
      @thepartsfactory4239  Рік тому

      @ecarroll3723 Mate, stop with the condescending behaviour. 🤚🏽 you are absolutely able to use a flat had screw driver to assist to remove that clip. Yes if its seen some significant wear and tear in the form of heat cycles it may break. Take your pathetic attitude elsewhere 🤡🤡

    • @rosssimmons1254
      @rosssimmons1254 7 місяців тому

      He is not condescending, he’s just telling you how it is. Everybody can get it wrong, and we learn from our mistakes. You should take this video down, because you are basically showing people how to break the fitting. It’s in 2 parts, and the part that clips in simply pulls out towards the front, no prying necessary.

    music kills, I was cleaning my expansion bottle when filled it in I noticed leaking on this pipe , while finding a way to stop the leak , I cracked the pipe into 2 pieces, I went to pick up the fuel hose 6mm for a temp fixed , all was good until when I remove the sensor part to insert the fuel hose, it cracked into pieces where I can not even hold with a clamp, I have ordered new one, but me needing a car for work, I have tried to hold it with a clamp hopeful there is no heat pressure in this hose pipe because , I really need my car this week

    Very appreciative of your effort to make a vid, however
    - the music, great you've said its banished
    - the lighting .. why film in a dark workshop ? Park the car so that SUNLIGHT shines in from the font
    + your work light isn't constantly illuminating the area the camera is focused on, I'd suggest a Dewalt battery spotlight for the camera guy to hold & manouvre.
    - & the camera operator needs to focus both in and out with multiple angles .... preferably without your hands in the way.
    But again .... I AM APPRECIATIVE of your efforts.
    I've subscribed 👍to your channel bcaus:
    My daughter has just bought a 2016 Sportswagon Cruze ... which I've discovered has oil from valves leaking and pooling above between spark plug & coil (watched that vid 👍) any chance of a vid on rectifying the valve seal/rocker cover gasket/baskets ???
