I managed to get my hands on two Chaszel barrel inserts, a 12 gauge x .45 acp, and a 20 gauge x .357 mag. Both are the 18 inch models. I love both of them. I permanently bonded the 12 gauge / .45 insert in place because the 12 gauge barrel is too deeply pitted for safety. Both shoot really well, and I'm highly pleased with them.
This was very helpful to me. I just bought a new single shot 20 gauge and I wanted to get adapters but I was skeptical about the quality and thanks to you, I believe that Chaszel is the best brand that I've found. Thanks man, I really appreciate it!
Since my last comment here, I've added a few more Chaszel liners to my collection. I got the 18" models in .44 mag, 7.62x39, and .30/30. The guys there tell me that they're planning to offer versions in .40 S&W and 10mm sometime this Autumn

These Chaszel adapters are full length rifled barrel adapters and they make adapters for 12, 20, 16, and 410 shotguns to shoot 22 to 45-70 and most of everything in between like 300 blackout 7.62x39 and 35Remington.

I have this exact shotgun (original wood color furniture though), I love H&R singles, and it even has a 24 inch rifled barrel too lol. I ordered one of these Chaszel 9mm adapters for it today in the 18" length (which leaves 6 inches of empty barrel to fit baffles into😉 lol j/k), I'm really excited to get a hold of it and see how well it shoots, my barrel has adjustable sights so I should be able to dial it in pretty well. I want to try some of the bigger calibers but they're all out of stock and I hear that the rifle cartridges tend to beat up the gun and can even destroy the breach, I think I'll stick with purpose-built guns for high pressure cartridges. I _really_ want that .44 magnum adapter though, dang thing is out of stock...
The Anchorage, Alaska police department used 2 3/4" .45 ACP shotgun adapters for training with their 12 gauge shotguns. They would run 5 rounds of 12 ga adapters with .45 ACP through their pump shotguns for training. Reduced cost for training ammunition; less felt recoil; showed the officers exactly where their point of aim/pointing, impacted on the target (so many people think if you point a shotgun at something, well of course you're going to hit it!! That just doesn't always happen.). Seeing as how the 2 3/4" inserts function through 12 gauge shotguns, give this some thought: in your pump shotgun you could have 12 gauge shotgun ammo AND the 2 3/4" .45 ACP; .38/357 mag; .44 mag; .45 Colt ammunition shotgun adapter in the chamber, or in the magazine tube, positioning them however you felt would be good 'for your use'? Training with a 2 3/4" adapter in a handgun cartridge allows reduced cost and felt recoil, yet provides you/a young adult/person of slight build, training time with the actual shotgun.
I ordered the 357 a few months ago online and never got a confirmation but it showed up in my mailbox after three or four weeks. The 30-30 is showing available this week, I order one too.
You have to be careful which guns you use that adapter in. New England and Rossi singles can handle it, but many others simply can't, especially old guns.
Steel receiver required. I have a pair of these in 24" 45-70. Turns your steel receiver 12 gauge into a poor man's double rifle. Not sure about +P loads yet.
Just got some of these for my bug out 410 the 7.5 inch 410 to 38 spc. Can you tell me if the 7.5 is pretty accurate to you and did you have any problems with tumbling of the projectile in the barrel? Nice vid!
No issues with tumbling at all, the 7.5 is as accurate as anything. Think about a 6 or 7 inch barrel revolver in 38spc. It would be pretty accurate. This is essentially the same thing.
@@johnvall9201 Pretty good actually it is def better than the rifled slugs and was my reason for getting it. I got two bug out .410's a midland backpacker and a rossi tuffy one for me one for my wife but slugs and triple 0 was so hard to find and when i could it was 10 bucks for 5 rounds of 1/5th oz slugs so I got this because I can get 50 rounds of .38 CCI's or AE's for 30 bucks. So when I took it out I could hold about the same pattern at 30 yards with both, but a better pattern on an 8 inch target with just a bead site with the .38 at 40 and 45. For the price I paid for it I would say that is worth it. the best part is that the .410 slugs are like 81 grain wereas the 38s are 158 so much more FPE.
