- I gave these thrifted nightstands a much needed update. The inspiration was part of the #ivylanechallengefeb2024 which was Romance Core/Coquette themed. What do you think of my interpretation?

What a stunning result, great job!!!
Thank you, Patricia!💜💜
You did a great job with it all. Love the night stands, turned out like they were made that way to begin with. Peace!
Thank you!☺️
Beautifully done. They certainly have a romantic vibe to them.
Thank you so much! I felt like they ended up fitting the theme pretty well, too. I was thankful since it was a little different than what I usually do. Thanks for watching!
I would love these in my bedroom! With a matching dresser, chest, and bed lol. They are gorgeous!
Awe, thank you! It would be a lovely set.😍
They look great! I’m now binge watching your videos. I really like how you don’t edit out the bits that are more tricky. Working on furniture is hard, i can’t imagine how much harder it is to video at the same time! Well done 👍
Thank you!! My goal is to show the whole process, the good and the bad, so I’m glad you appreciate that. You’re right, it is often hard, but I hope that my sharing will help others learn like I have learned from watching others on here as well. Thanks so much for watching!
I liked the paintable wallpaper. They turned out very pretty!
Thank you! I really love what it added to the design, too. Appreciate you watching and for the feedback!💜
Really great job! Thanks for taking us on your journey, it’s been educational and fun.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
They turned out beautiful!! You did a really good job ❤🥰
Thank you so much, Donna! This was such a fun flip.
I can appreciate your trial and errors, and loving the end results. They turned out beautiful. I am a new subscriber, and feel more comfortable, watching your channel as an attempting novice (haven't started on my first piece) at furniture flipping.
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! I’m so glad that it has made you more confident to try it yourself! I learned everything here on UA-cam as well, and I’m excited to help others hopefully have a hobby or skill they enjoy like I do. My biggest suggestion would be to start with something that isn’t already painted. Stripping paint can get really old really fast.😂 Thanks again for following along!
Oh wow! What a beautiful job you did upcycling these! New subscriber to your channel today. Looking fwd to watching more of your videos!
Thank you so much for the kind comment and subscribing! My plan is to post at least every two weeks since I also juggle being a mom of four as well. Glad to have you along for this journey.💜
Lovely!! Feminine but elegant and not over the top!!! That wallpaper in the drawers is beautiful!
Thank you, Kim! That was the balance I was trying to strike and I’m glad to hear you think the same.💜
Beautiful finished project! Appreciate your description of the tools you used.
Thanks so much! I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thank you, Robin! So glad you liked them, too!
Wow! Those look incredible. I was watching you take so many precautions on the saw, but I saw your beautiful hair swaying so close. Maybe use a hair tie?
Thank you! I hadn’t noticed that, and you’re right, I’ll need to be more mindful of that in the future.😳
great video Rachel!
Thanks so much for watching and the encouragement, Shannon!
New subscriber!!! How amazing!!!
Thanks, Mariah!💜💜
Wery nice!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked them, too.💜
To find the center of your drawer just line your tape up from corner to corner and where the line intersects, that’s your center
That’s a smart way to do it, thanks!
very nice
Thank you, Robin!
you're welcome. If you are just getting started doing this you have done a fantastic job.
@@robindatin1593sorry for the delayed response. I didn’t see a notification for this. I started refinishing furniture in August but have done some DIY around my house prior. I quickly fell in love with it and decided to take the plunge to share it on here. Thank you for the encouragement and watching!
You could try putting a piece of tape in the middle and laying your ruler or straight edge from corner to corner, making and x. Drill your hole at the center of the x
Beautiful.
Very smart method, thanks! And thank you for watching! Glad you liked them.
You did an amazing job! They are so delicate! I love how you choose to show us your struggles, not editing them out! We can all learn from them! New Subscriber! 😊
@@satxhillthank you so much! Yes, I want to be very transparent with what goes well and what doesn’t. I am learning something new with each project, and I think it’s helpful to let others learn from my mistakes, too. Thanks so much for subscribing- I really appreciate it!💜
I have a question about the paintable wallpaper. I used this on dresser drawers in the past but what happened to me was, even a slight nick with your fingernail and the paint and topcoat came off, right down to the white wallpaper. I haven’t used it again since but I thought maybe a spray shellac before adding paint might work. I didn’t see you prep that paper. Did you have any problem with the paint not bonding to it, or any chipping of your paint if it was scratched?
Oh man, that’s disappointing! Mine didn’t do that but maybe it’s because the paint has a bonding primer built in?
I feel like the hidden drawer is not hidden. The top drawer is supposed to be to be a hidden drawer. The knobs make the top drawer look off like there to big or something. They turned out beautiful but defeats the point of a hidden drawer.
Thanks for the feedback. The drawer wasn’t hidden originally, so I stayed with the original design, just updated with the new design. Thanks for watching!
