@@DJ2Legit007 it is definitely a luxury we have now! I also really like what you did with mapping the effects - I’m gonna try that myself too next! Thanks as always for yet another great idea man
Hey bro how did you minimap your simpler volume control? If you can please 🙏🙏 make a video on how you did some of your mapping will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Gonna put a "How To Midi Map in VDJ" on my to-do list because I am noticing that so many DJs out there have no idea how to do this basic simple task in VDJ. Thanks for the suggestion.
Although I am using Algoriddim Djay Pro, I too have midi mapped my Rane One heavily to my liking.. I generally only have 5 cue points maximum on my tracks so I have Cue pads 1,2,3,4,8 mapped as Cues and pads 5,6,7 as Vocal, Harmony, Drums. I also never use the Censor button and have that mapped to Toggle between EQ and Stems with my 3 band Eq, So High becomes Vocals, Mids become Harmony, Low becomes Drums and can be quickly switched over by using the Censor button
Man I’m debating now was about to return my one because it stems for performer but after watching this I’m torn. I’m using Serato I’m gonna see if I can setup like this
Yeah I bet if you researched it, you probably could. I don't know anything about Serato, but I know it has midi mapping capabilities so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do the same thing there. Good luck!!
@@DJ2Legit007 thanks, how about the saved loop you pressed, is that for echo out right so adjusting that using the knob on the top of the 6 effect button?
I feel like I'm losing it but didn't you have a video where I could copy and paste the acapella and instrumental language for the slip and censor button? I cannot find it for nothing, would you be so kind to post the language mapping for that. I'm trying to write it in and it's not working, please help a brother out thanks.
I don't have a video showing the actual script to copy. This is the only video I have on the subject showing you that I did it, but I never showed the specific details how I did it. I should make a video on that because I have SO MANY people who have no idea how to do it when it's so easy.
Thanks!! I'm glad you appreciate my custom midi mapping for the Rane One. I really wish I could help you but unfortunately I don't know how to midi map in Serato. I'm strictly a Virtual DJ user. So sorry. Welcome to the Rane One family anyway!
@@DJReggieMarcus @DJ2Legit007 I'm a fellow Rane One user as well, but I am on Serato. Some of those mappings aren't needed as they function that way with Serato, but I understand why you do it for VDJ. Haven't quite gotten that software down yet. But if you need a tutorial on mapping in Serato check out this link: ua-cam.com/video/EKkQnhFTiHY/v-deo.html. The guy maps the effects buttons and some other stuff, but you will get an overall view of how to midi map in Serato. Welcome to the fam. I have a Rev5 as a back up as well so that is my next project. Happy DJing!!!
No doubt@@djmoevibez. Appreciate that info. I'm a lifelong Traktor user but wanted to start doing video so I just started converting to Serato last year. Decent so far. Not feeling the Rane One sound so far in the club. Gonna try a friend's Rev 7 to see if it sounds more like I like it (more heavy & not so harsh.)
I normally use DJay Pro AI both in MacBook and IPad, and I always need to map effects and stems. Thank you for showing us in Virtual DJ if I ever move to VDJ. 🙏🏼 Where did you get your intro drops?
Thanks!! Naw, I'm really not interested right now. I never say never though. We'll see next year what I think after they work the bugs and kinks out, but right now I'm just extremely happy with my Rane One.
I've used virtual dj since it was called Atomix lol.. I never understood why people would choose Serato over virtual dj when they've been making plugins longer and have the best stem technology
One of the Best video ever. Thank you from Montreal Canada.
Glad you enjoyed it! I really think I could have made it better. I kinda rushed it, but oh well. It is what it is lol. 🤣😁😊
I did the same thing for my slicer. Thanks for the tip on the slip and sensor button.
You're welcome!!
Im learning everything I can about virtual dj. This software is incredible.
Yep. I agree 💯
Great video, you make an awesome teacher. Perfect pace, clarity and delivery.
Thank you Sir. SALUTE
Thanks!! I'm glad you found this helpful.
Thanks!
This is a great video and awesome mapping ideas!! I’ve done the same mapping on my little Rev1 for the stems and it works great!

how did you map the accepella and the instrumental?
I need to make a video showing this basic function in VDJ. Thanks for asking. Putting it on my "to-do" list now.
Thanks Professor DJ 2Legit!

In virtual dj you can download different pads skins samples and effects when you go to extensions.
Yep that's true!
I want to thank you personally for inspiring me to get back into the dj game.
@@djkeviekevbxYou're welcome! Good to know I inspired someone somehow. 😊
Awesome vid, thanks! Question, can you midi map it to dial?
Thanks for your comment, however I have no idea what you are asking me. Can you be more specific?
Do you have a mapping video for your ddj 1000? Great video.
Unfortunately I do not.
I am trying to figure out how to get the rain one to work with virtual DJ. Only one platter on the left is working.
Are you saying that the right platter is not spinning? Did you check to see if the right platter motor is turned off? SHIFT + blue MOTOR OFF button.
I put ecapella and instrumental stems on the pitch bend butons... how uses that?
As long as it works for you, then good for you!

That's dope.... would you be able to share your mappings for the sampler volume... because that ish drives me bananas 😂
Would you be able to post the scripts for the mapping of the pitch
How did you get the lights to flash, or blink....
If you're talking about the cue pads on my Control One, etc... they weren't actually blinking. That's just how my phone camera shows them.
do you have the same tutorial for serato dj ?
Unfortunately, I don't.
What up.. Will/Could you do a video showing how to do your mappings in Serato? Your mapping makes so much more sense. I just copped a Rane One. Thanks
