I think I got those sound effects off UA-cam and some came with VDJ. And I had someone make me some DJ drops on Fiverr way back in the day. That was so long ago that I don't remember who it was.

Yeah I was very skeptical of having karaoke at this gig at first but as it turned out, that was actually a good idea! Sometimes ya just never know what's gonna work.

I've carried that TV around in that soft bag for years in all kinds of vehicles. It wasn't the Tahoe's fault. It was my fault. I simply got careless because the TV had survived so many trips lol. I just started placing all kinds of heavy objects on it during transport. You can even see in the video that I had a Jackery on top of it at one point lol. Well I learned my lesson finally. Not gonna be careless with transporting it anymore. ;)

I actually have a stand for it but forgot it at home. And yeah, sometimes I face the monitor the other way and sometimes I don't lol. Just depends on the gig. I assumed these people were gonna be extra shy and not want to face the audience. Next year I'll face it the other way.

Yep you got it. I've literally done hundreds if not thousands of karaoke gigs. Been doing it since 2009 so yes, I have my system and sound dialed in. I'm glad you noticed.

Good for you! Walmart saved the day hahaha! I bought another 50 inch TV from Best Buy the next morning on sale for $200. I love it. It's sooo much better than this old dinosaur that I broke lol.

You will install the plugin directly from inside of VDJ. Conf Settings, then Extensions and then inside Effects, type easyKRM.

Yes, I still use Soundswitch as my main device for controlling my lights. I haven't tried the Wolfmix because I have no need to. I am happy with SS.

I started collecting karaoke tracks back in 2009 from karaoke discs. Then as technology progressed, I started downloading karaoke tracks from the internet. I have about 8000 karaoke tracks in my collection plus the over 40k tracks in Karafun. I don't buy new tracks anymore. I just rely on Karafun for all the new stuff. But you can use google to purchase karaoke tracks these days if you need some.

Oh no. Man that sucks but that's the thing with outdoor gigs. The weather can be unpredictable and can mess things up when you least expect it.

Sandbags or weights are always a must for those outdoor gigs my man

I have a video on my channel all about my photobooth. You should watch it.

Because I like to have an external mixer to mix each singer's vocals with the karaoke tracks to get the best results. A DJ controller like my Rane One or my DDJ-1000 is not necessary and takes up too much space, imo.

Yeah I only put the 2 ft pipe in front because I saw someone else on youtube do that, but now after using it on a real gig, I'm gonna go with 1 ft. Plus I can move the photobooth further away from the backdrop to provide more space. Yeah sucks about the TV but I'm so glad I broke it lol. My new one is wayyyyyy better!!

Yep, that was the first time using the backdrop so I really didn't know what to expect but I quickly learned what's best for the future. I also moved the photobooth further away from the backdrop toward the end of the night and that made it better too. Also I am so glad I broke that old outdated TV too hahaha. My new one is much MUCH better!

Thanks Shay!! Yeah I always bring 2 monitors on my karaoke gigs. Sometimes I set them both up and sometimes I only set one up. Believe it or not, I am so happy I broke that TV. The TV I bought the next morning is wayyyyyy better and much lighter! Also you know I am always experimenting with different set ups. So now that I've done gigs with a facade and with a podium style DJ table, I have some new opinions on one versus the other. Hopefully I can get that video out soon.

@ haha yes sometimes you need a reason to buy something new and this it definitely it!! I agree having different setups for different events is key and having options is great. I just bought a new facade because I know it will come in handy! I’m looking forward to that video!

@@MrMaui38 Yeah I just bought 2 extra panels to make my facade a 6 or 5 panel facade because sometimes I use a 5 or 6 foot table and a 4 panel facade isn't wide enough.

You must have been following me for years. Yes, I used to have a rack setup many years ago. I moved away from the rack setup so long ago. I like it this way better.

@DJ2Legit007 I built my karaoke system into a pedal board case. The case contains a small mixer, microphone receiver, Indian monitor transmitter, preview monitor, customer mic receiver, and hdmi spitter. I'll upload a vid at some point.

Yes that is very true. I looked at my Karafun database and discovered I had almost 3000 spanish karaoke tracks! I never knew that lol. So adding karaoke to that party was actually a good call. They don't like to dance, but they like to sing hahaha.

When I'm eating or going to the bathroom or anything like that, I always have it on automix. Yes, I only do real DJ mixing when the dance floor is open or if I'm bored during cocktail or something lol.
