Cell phones killing people sounds like king's men 1 plus Samuel l Jackson is the villan in it so this is like a parody of king's man and the secret services witch came out in 2014.
Is it me or is this movie would have been better as a normal zombie movie? Mainly because, the people who are acting like how zombies normally in movies and I don't know why people in this movie are acting like zombies when they call their phones, like what's up with that?
This movie had a lot of potential but left more questions than answers which makes people like me angry. (Damn you Scott WAT IS IN DA BOX!?) it would have been a lot better if this was a series instead of a movie, something like gravity falls but for adults

I actually did read the book. The book was much much more interesting than this... “movie” Most of the book was a bit of a road adventure, The characters were really most of the focus. There was a good sense of despair that the characters had, Kind of felt realistic. Also, the movie ending made me want to reach in to my rib cage and rip an organ out. 🎩 🐍 no step on SNEK! 🇺🇸🇭🇰
I guess most people just don't know how to properly adapt Stephen King's work....why do I get the feeling anime is the only medium that could do his stories true justice...The Dark Tower for instance would make an amazing anime series.

This is why movies need common sense panels: A team of regular people who will talk things out during the script writing process and ask "Why would this character do that? It seems really dumb," and if the writers can't come up with a good reason besides "the plot demands it" (i.e. the character's crazy, or they thought X or Y), they make some plot edits. It would make movies make more sense.
I also wonder why people in genre movies have never seen a genre movie: like they have no awareness of any tropes. Main guy was a comic book writer, coming up with the best explanations for what they were seeing, and he keeps making stupid decisions. He should have known that the "come home dad" was bait. The fact that the Foner Hive knew to broadcast that voice through that Foner means they know you're there.

Long ago, an old neighbor's parrot would make such sounds - and the sounds of a matrix printer trying to print out a whole damned library. Especially at night. Thin walls, fun times.... and I do actually mean fun times.... got so used to that parrot's modem- and printer-sounds in the night that years later I had trouble getting to sleep when it would be quiet.
"What is the Brain? It's just a big ole hard drive" No son, there are literally NO similarities between the brain and a freakin hard drive. Also, the whole "we only use 10% of our brain" bs has been debunked many times by science. We use our entire brain but not simultaneously. I am shocked these well-known actors could have read this script and said this is a good career move... wtf?
I think my biggest problem with movies like this is inconsistency. They can broadcast the Signal, which would be way more effective than just tearing into people, so why not just have those herds screaming the signal as loud as possible, or go out there and tackle people and scream signal at them?
A simple answer to the last part of the movie, the main character got ignored by all of the "phoners" because he had already been turned, so they had no reason to attack him. The reason why he sees things like everything is okay, is just part of the mind bending of the radio waves that control them all.

I've read the book, and Samuel L Jackson's character was originally a gay, white midget who accompanied the journey. He was far more of an optimistic best friend and voice of reason than the stereotypical badass Jackson often plays. To anyone who reads my comment, the book is as great and heart-wrenching as this movie is a shitstorm; I beg you to give it a read.
I once watched an anime where all the girls the main lead knew were all perverts from masochist, sadist, boy on boy lover, to sniffer, and to even an exhibitionist and what’s funny was the main character was the most sane person in the room and for what ever reason that had a more coherent and understandable plot then this shit.

I happen to know that Steven King adapted this story from an old "Under Dog" episode called the Phony Booth. In this "Under Dog" episode people would loose there cognitive ability and become a quasi zombie. A very scary cartoon if you ask me, I still loose sleep every time I think of it!
Ok question: how does a single, brief visual from a single drone give the hive mind the survivor group's exact coordinates? Does the hive mind have the entire area memorized? I doubt that even some sort of sunlight-angle-triangularization would be able to definitely say exactly where they are, especially if the thing is only controlling people through what amounts to a software hack of the human brain that doesn't actually improve the hardware it's got to work with (as I highly doubt the human eye and brain could take a sufficiently accurate measurement within a few seconds to calculate exact longitude and latitude, even if a an AI _might_ be able to determine such if you had like laser-accurate readings).
