      @@gonagain The company Helen works for was purchased by a company in Idaho and they're enticing her to stay. So for now we're looking at the company's offer. I had some business to take care of in Yuma so I combined business with a road trip. We would love to meet you both on the road sometime this year.
      God Bless you and Linda.🤠

    08:59 .... that artifact looks like a handaxe/chopper for doing heavy things like cracking bones for the marrow etc. I visited Makoshika, outside of Glendive back in the early 2000's. I was on my way from central PA to southern Utah. I decided to set up camp there by the park office. I was going to leave the next day but before I did, I wanted to go up higher in the park to check things out. I saw that there was a camp ground with sites right next to the cliff. I went back down and took down my tent etc, and moved everything up to the cliff campground site. I took another day to explore the area, and going down into the surrounding canyons ..... it was beautiful there. It was my first time in the Badlands. Take care you two .... happy hiking/exploring✌🏻🏹🏹

    In 2018, I worked on the road when you get to the intersection on the dirt road to Hyattville.. There is a ranch road (jeep trail) that goes to the right when you get off the hill that has a spring that comes straight out of the ground..We paid the rancher for the water for our water truck..There was a cut out cave in the same gully.. We stayed in the RV park at Ten Sleep . We also worked on roads east of Hyattville in 2004 when my father was still alive..A lot of good memories in that area....One road was off the top of the pass.. Great to see the area again, thanks for sharing..

    Cataracts are the result of high sugar levels in the aqueous humor. The aqueous humor is the space between the eyeballs and the lens of the cornea. It supplies nutrients and oxygen to the lens.
    When blood sugar rises, the lens swells, resulting in blurry vision.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  3 місяці тому

      I'm sorry that you don't have any insurance. We've been through periods like that in our past too and it's scary. If anyone doesn't understand, it's because you have a little money in the bank or possibly because you own your home, but you work for yourself or have other income that isn't enough to cover the high costs of insurance. It makes you have to choose between buying groceries and paying for utilities or buying health insurance. Not a good predicament to be in.

Very nice air museum there with former fire bomber birds on display. If you go there and run into a guy named Bobby Hawkins, tell him howdy. He is a great tour guide. Linda, I am dealing with dry macular degeneration in both eyes and glaucoma in the left eye. It is definitely nothing you want to fool with, or you will lose your eye sight! Mine is hereditary as my grandmother had it, my aunt has it and now I have it! Now, my youngest called the other day and said that she had been to the eye doctor, and her eye pressure was high!

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  3 місяці тому

      Thank you, Susan. I learned that it's hereditary from the eye doctor who was very concerned since my eye pressure was so high. Thank goodness the eye drops brought them down but my right eye is more damaged than the left.

      @susansteen9252 3 місяці тому

      @gonagain The eyedrops have been working for me as well. My aunt was using the same drops (Latanoprost), but after years of using it, they quit working. Unfortunately, she ran into problems with the preservatives in the new drops. Thankfully, the company is making them without the preservatives and sending it to her. I wish you good luck! Let me know how you make out with the cataracts, as that is my next hurdle when they are ready.

    • @gonagain

      I thought about it possibly being for fleshing after I posted the video. I've only seen one place that separated this style of tool from the rest and called them "planes or spokeshaves" and that was at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum in Southwest Colorado. I constantly find them and most people just refer to them as a scraper, not realizing that the tool is specially shaped that way.

    From genealogical "evidence" from Genesis 1 there is a Flintstones level of understanding that the Earth is 6,000 years old. So that artifact you found could have been used to chop out dinosaur steaks! A sure sign that you found an old butcher/cook site is when you find ancient A1 Steak Sauce bottles lying around.

    With your cataract surgery, will you get prescription glasses just for examining the ground for treasures?

      Wouldn't that be great to have glasses made specifically for looking down at the ground? Maybe I would spot more interesting "stuff"!

      @@gonagain Why not? I've had a prescription specifically for looking at my computer screen. 🤷 My eye surgeon is recommending against getting ine near and ine far lense when I have ny cataract surgery. He suggests monovision for whatever distance I do most, which is pretty hard to decide on. He suggests the distance from my eyes to the phone (since I'm on it lots) or to the countertop when working in the kitchen, with prescription glasses for driving and a magnifying glass for super close work. I've been wearing glasses for 60 years so continuing to do so is no biggie.

    Yea gettin old sucks but it's still fun! I had cataract surgery on both eyes and it made a huge difference. No more glasses or contact lenses. I was given the choice of three different types of lens replacement. Each lens had it's own positive and negative characteristics. I chose the best (more money) lens that gave me almost 20/20 vision no reading glasses,wearing corrective glasses or contact lens needed.I do have dry eyes so that has caused some minor issues but I don't regret having the surgery done. The first cataract I got was caused from the medication I was given for shingles on the right side of my face. Anyway we'll be prayin ya up for a successful surgery and don't forget to ask the ophthalmologist for the best lens they offer! I refer to them as my $6,000,000 MAN eyes!! I actually have X-RAY VISION...... NOT!
