Thinking quickly, Pete improvises a tank using nothing more than a bunker, some runners, and a tank.
I'd personally recommend taking the tracks from a 1/36 scale ww2 tank kit. Much cheaper than a bane blade
@@CAMSLAYER13 He’s making it official events legal with GW kits only
@@Selvanus yea I get that, but realistically most of us don't go to official events
@@CAMSLAYER13 most of his channels uses official bits, it’s what he does as a thing. We can do as we want, his videos are more to give us basis for ideas and inspirations, not something to follow 1:1
@@Selvanus why are you telling me this? I know, I'm giving ideas in the comment section not making demands to the creator. Most people don't go to official events so I think buying a cheaper kit for things like tracks is a valid suggestion, to clarify.
Is a matter of time until this man kitbashes a Titan
been there done that but would love to see him do it
Seems more likely to buy an actual Titan, and then convert it into terrain.
@@SmolBloof well I guess I'll just challenge him to a titan build off
To be fair that is the only way to get an impertor Titain.
See "Scratch Bashing" 😁
If you're up to tackling superheavy tanks, with the Squats now coming out of retirement I'd love to see your take on some of the Squat Superheavy vehicles like the Colosus or the giant Blimp.
This, so much this.
BATTLE TRAIN!!!
Kirov reporting??...
landtrain !!!!!!!
Great idea.
You make it look so easy, and my wallet screams for help.
I don't think I could buy a Baneblade with the pure intention of using it purely for some of its pieces and not the whole. So many screams...
@@SnapFissure don’t think about it as losing a baneblade think of gaining a ultra heavy tank !
Sign an NDA, 🙂
It's a lot easier when GW sends you stuff for free.
@@SnapFissure but, you could... print... a baneblade..? 😉
Tonk: Light tank
Tank: Medium-Heavy tank
Tenk: This fucking thing
Tunk: When that's the sound it makes when it hits the ground.
Tink: the sound the trigger makes when you decided to beat the tau in ranged weapons
@@kandifamily *[laughs in mechanicus]*
Tynk: super hoovy tonks
I think it'd be cool if you dove into a Knight. Maybe a knight aligned to a specific faction. A knight allied to the Sororitas and it's a walking church. An infested Nurgle Knight. Maybe a knight that's more affiliated with the Imperial guard so it's all plain and busted up like a WW2 tank
Turn 2 knights into a dog
A knight for the squats
@@lawrences1347 Khorne approves!
Nurgle knight but it's a walking hive
What about a custodes style knight with even more regal adornments
I love it! Seeing a 40k tank without a pile of spare weapons is both kinda weird and refreshing.
The hatch beneath the base of the main gun adds a really cool aesthetic. Easy access to main cannon for maintenance.
Probably more the driver's hatch
@@argokarrus2731 Maybe? It looks like it's be a tight squeeze for the drivers, the gun barrel doesn't have alot of movement. It's is also huge. You could fit some big parts and tools through there for barrel maintenance
@@LtColShingSides If you've ever noticed the tank interiors, they are naturally extremely cramped. This also applies to almost everything.
@@argokarrus2731 sure but when you have a tank that's as massive as this, with only one gun, it'll need to have room to move the huge parts in and out.
The main gun is pretty much a volcano cannon on steroids. So the inside of the tank is just the power source for the gun, and all the mechanics needed for the tanks to move and shoot. I'd imagine the tank as one wide corridor that leads from the back to that hatch, so parts and tools can be brought in for maintenance.
@@LtColShingSides During heavy maintenance, most tanks have the turret removed and placed on stands that have access underneath to get inside without issue, and engine coverings that aren't directly part of the hull are also removed so the engine can be pulled out to be worked on easily. From there, the interior of the hull can be reached using the huge gaps left by all the missing parts. Not sure if it would apply the same way for WH40K tanks, but I imagine it would in most cases.
I like to think the main cannon takes a while to charge, but fires some kind of unstable atomiser laser that can burn a hole straight through Ceramite. Used to puncture holes in enemy fortifications big enough for entire units to move through.
This reminds me, in the Horus Heresy book Fallen Angels, the Lion Leads a relief to a Forgeworld that eventually turns against him, but before that he discovers these 8 massive supersized Siege Gun Tanks that use Macro Cannons that can be found on imperial navy ships. This build is reminiscent of that.
I did something crazy like this one too. A baneblade modelled after the Maus superheavy tank, made from two land raiders, a vindicator's front and dozer blade, a chimera for the turret and a cannon from a Paladin SPG.
I'm not doing anything like that again.
How big was it very , please?
Make a video about it, we want to see it
The Storm Saber Super Heavy Siege Tank, lovely named the “Knight Buster” by Guardsmen.
Love how this made it to the Community site and into WD!
Bit of a crazy idea here but a titan sized demon engine.
40k ka'dai destroyer
YES. Just. Yes.
That's a great "Schwerer Gustav" (except not on rails) xD
Humble suggestion: The model could use a lot more soot deposits near the exhaust tips!
Otherwise: amazing work and thank you for not only showcasing the result but sharing the process.
The conversion is great but the paint job truly blows me away. Amazing work.
Thank you very much!
I find this most impressive in regards to the rather small palette use, but incredible detail obtained from it. This could definitely be a kit on its own I feel like, and wouldn't be surprised if GW stole some shit from this just to make even MOAR cool big tanks
GW doesn't know its ass from its elbow, so I expect them to only fuck everything up further.
Really neat seeing how you made something so detailed using two kits + change. Looks great!
...didn't expect a HelloFresh sponsorship though, lol
Everybody's gangsta until the bunka starts rollin'
This is the most impressive Kit bash I have seen to date. Well done
Id love that idea of it powering up over several turns - or better - its already firing and the defending army either to prevent the enemy from breaching their defences. Still looks awesome!
I think this is one of the best conversions that has ever been done! Really awesome stuff mate! Absolutely love it
about time you did a 40k Tank my friend
Funny that just last week, i got a wrecked ww2 medium tank kit. With the intent to recover and turn it into a IG vehicle.
Upon closer investigation, I planed to make an Macharius proxy out of it.
But it could be also bashed as a troop crawler of some sorts.
Not entirely sure which to do.
Outstanding! Terrain to a tank, just an awesome concept. Paint scheme is awesome too
Been waiting since the Warhammer Community post! Great job man!
Would love to see a big Tau battlesuit conversion video from you! Maybe build a walker with more then 2 legs? Those are rare to see in 40k.
would love to see either an imperial guard knight or a space marine dreadnought/boxnaught conversion!
The siege engine analogy is actually the best as this seems to be more of an SPG than a tank, akin to self propelled artillery. WH40k's version of the "Karl-Gerät" from the Wehrmacht. Great job looks very impressive!
Yay! Thanks for the unintentional wedding present Pete, glad to see you're still around and creating magic! I'd love to see something similar but for other 41k races! Perhaps the Eldar? Or maybe our Ork boyz!
Gratz on the wedding
I’m planning to use this tutorial as the basis for my take on The Tormentor, Perturabo’s personal custom Shadowsword. With some barbed wire, sandbags, and a dozer blade, I think it would be the perfect representation.
love this kinda stuff because you can create custom matches with these which gives the board game a good spin of fun.
Congratulations! Now your enemies won't know wither you're coming or going! ~dope build
I like the suggestion that it doesn't really need any other guns as there's probably enough people inside for any minor threats.
Imagine going to play Pete and his scenery starts moving towards your lines
Tanks for the video
A beautiful build sir! I'd love to see more like this one. The giant builds always make my soul soar with a love of large scale battle scenes in some of my favorite books and movies alike. Keep up the amazing work!
Great looking tank! And some great painting tips. Awesome stuff.
ok, now in the mood to buy and use those terrain pieces thanks for the inspiration pete.
I’m imagining this as some form of super heavy self propelled artillery “tank” bunker that as you said, is purpose built for REMOVING enemy fortified positions.
Wow man! Really impressed how you did the paint job. Looks great and You made it look easy 👍
Love your work! I’ve always envisioned an ork themed tank with a hot rod aesthetic.
pete can you try to make a chaplain redemptor dreadnought i think it would be awsome.
Insane paint job my friend and I love the idea of a match where you have a defender of the tank and an attacker trying to shut it diwn
This was a very clever conversion.
Also we have been an ambassador for hello fresh for our local community.
Keep up the great work!
Looks like a legit GW model & that paint job is just amazing.
Thank you!
Cool to see some different than usual paints being used, I've only used the Tamiya Lacquer paints so I'll have to try their acrylic range out.
It was sooooo cool seeing this featured on the Warhammer Community Page not long ago. Way to go with this creation!!!
This is neat! It is certainly big but it has a realistic look to it and the weathering looks great. Thanks for sharing this.
I've loved this model from the beginning when you made it a year ago.
Rewatching it again now, there's a few suggestions I do have.
Joining the seams between the landing pad and the tank tracks with some miliput and making it look like a weld job would help to cover that gap up nicely.
The barrels could probably have stood to be a different colour from the vehicle.
Adding some details like shovels and other gear would give it a little more life.
Maybe even some soldier fortifications on the front of the "deck" to make use of that large space as well.
thank you this gives me ideas toward a leviathan command vehicle build i have been wanting to do for years
The narrative battle is "Kill Eighteen", given the seventeen kill marks already on this magnificent chonker.
That transformation is amazing
I planing on doing something very similar so tank you for providing my point
Awesome kitbash, thanks for sharing
OH BOI!
*A Super Heavy Tank Conversion Video!*
MAGNIFICENT!
I've been waiting for something like this! Ever since I've seen and Subscribed to your Channel, roughly a Year ago! And I've Enjoyed your Conversion Videos, among other Videos Your Channel Have!
Thank you, Pete! Thank you so Much for this Comrade! This will be a Blast to Watch! I can Feel it!
I saw this on Warhammer Community! Very cool!
Absolutely textbook work, fantastic. ♥️
This is incredible, bravo!
This looks like an official kit. Amazing!
The Unfeasibly Large Gun Tank -excellent!!! 😎👍
How i missed your content Pete :)
Such a simple conversion, and you make it look so easy to do, but so awesome! Amazing work Pete as always!
Thank you! 😊
The primed tank on the white surface looks like a 3d render. So clean !
A True masterclass. I have seen this beast all over social media. Love it. Amazing work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cawl: "Write that down, write that down!"
5:09 damn near thought you were going to slice into your thumb at that scene cut!
Killer paint job!
This puppy looks like it's designed to take bites out of starships in low orbit, damn
I'd love to see a Greasus Goldtooth conversation from TWW3. I love ogres and I'm pretty sad and the lack of character rep for Aos
Would make a perfect conversion for a certain Shadowsword-riding primarch. Maybe a few chevrons on the side, maybe a big ol’ skull. It’s just…”tormenting” isn’t it? LOL
Awesome build Pete.
Seeing this, I got an idea for a movable command bunker with a lot of antennas and communications devices. let's see, if I ever realize this regarding the price.
Ever heard of the Imperial Leviathan? Be a good base for your mobile Command post
Oh! You’re the guy! You did the thing, it was on the place! It was good stuff, that thing.
Use the tracks of 4 predators and do a mammoth tank!
Fantastic kitbash!
Absolutely masterful. I'm trying to create my own custom Imperial Knight kitbashed army and this actually gave me some cool ideas.
its full of gaps, nice conversion but the details are poorly executed this time..
I should have figured you were responsible for this colossus. I was thinking that it looked light on the armament but then I had a bit of a thought. This isn't a normal baneblade chassis, it's a baneblade sized artillery piece. We have the basilisk on the chimera chassis, the colossus siege bombard on the leman russ hull and now we have this magnificent beast
I love this! Great video Pete!
Id be interested in seeing a lovecraftian inspired chaos space marine model
"We need the BanerBlader."
"Don't you mean the Baneblade?"
"Nope."
That is so beautiful.
That custom tank you made looks amazing! It'd also be cool to see you make a custom Aeronautica Imperialis model too. Thank you for the many awesome kit-bashing and painting videos. Truly is the best Warhammer channel I've seen yet.
Amazing work Pete
Ngl even without the tank turret the vehicle would make for a pretty awesome vehicle. Like a giant mobile bunker, platform or APC
Excellent tutorial! Whilst the cannon barrel suits your build, something I’ve been doing is replacing them with turned aluminium, usually in 1/35 for a more in scale look.
Saw that in GW when i went in, thought it looked insane
Brilliant conversion! I will never not love super heavy vehicles in 40k. Very much would love to convert my own, I have ideas such as using super heavy tank and terrain parts to create a PDF Naval Vessel or Submarine of an oceanic world. That or perhaps create a giant mobile command centre to use as a kill team board. Or perhaps even an armoured train. Or perhaps use baneblade parts to create a large scale tank carrier. That seems like something the Imperium would come up with.
that honestly sounds really cool.
Spotted it before on, I think, the GW channel for it's awesome build. Amazing work! Monster of a tank.
Looks Awesome man!👍
Absolutely love this video, planning on making my own seige engine for my space wolves 🐺
Very nicely done
Great work Pete! Heavy Gustav 40k style.
I was waiting for this after I saw the Warhammer community post. Another amazing video!
This kitbash could be a great model to use as Perturabo's custom tank "Tormentor" for the Horus Heresy Iron Warriors players!
Looks absolutely stunning mate! Might I add a little addition to give it that old Epic 40k feel? Maybe add a little bipod for the huge cannon. You could position it under the barrel so it mounts to the top front of the tank between those armour plates you added for more detail. Again fantastic conversion skill and clean paintjob!
Do you want the good or the bad first?
I'm going to assume good. I absolutely love what you've built here. I'm not sure I could have built it... but even if I could do that, I could not have presented it so beautifully.
Bad? MORE DAKKA. How many weapons are on a Baneblade? It should... bristle. Bet you would have made that look just as beautiful.
Emperor's oath, she's a bigun!
brilliant concept made real. and an exceptional paintjob.
something this size screams out for airbrush to get that gorgeous gradient and you've more than done it justice.
nice work with the oils too. it makes my method of applying each streak by hand with acryllics seem absurd, LOL! may have to try this method though. seems to get astonishing results. however I'm exactly one airbrush away from even attempting such a feat as faras the rest of it goes, but theres still plenty to take from this.
seriously impressive pete! well done sir!
Hello! I'm familiar with your channel but recently started a kitbashed Fellblade project and this guide is super helpful to me. Thanks!
